He was absolutely one of the best players ever. Saw him and got to hang out with him and paul and the band just two weeks before he passed. A great man and he will be missed. Thanks for the memories and thank you Paul for helping him through the hard times. RIP brother keep rocking 💯💯💯🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Johnny was my favorite guitarist. I've seen him 6 times and I'm convinced he was the "King of the Blues...and R&R." It's hard to believe how good he really was. Evert time I saw him I left not believing how anyone can play that well. He was truly amazing!
At age 14 my brother in law gave me a Johnny Winter live album. I wore out the groves so many times I must have replaced it 10 or 11 times. After hearing that album I got a guitar and asked anyone I could to teach me to play. I'm now 58 years old and he is and will always be my favorite guitarist. Thanks for posting this flawless performance.
He will always be my favorite guitarist, too! I've seen him 6 times thru the decades...beginning in the 70's. I saw him headline a "Day on the Green" concert at the Oakland A's baseball stadium...in front of 60,000 fans. Nobody could play like him.
In the grand scheme of time...I'm honored to have spent a "moment" with Tom, Jon, and Johnny! They were awesome; real gentlemen! - it was a "bus visit" I'll never forget!!!
im so glad i got to see him before he went away.. even thow he couldent see much, couldent even stand up.. he still played like a dream.. thankz for the music johnny :-)
Thank you for posting this incredible. Got to see these Flawless years of ripping it up many more before and after this part of his career Tom Compton and Jeff Gantz what a Rhythm Section and of course Johnny. I'm still in awl I got to see this live.
First time I heard him play I was completely enthralled (where did that come from?) he was so proficient, he made it talk, I've got an all time top ten and he's in it Rip. J. W.
This is the best version of this song I've heard. Only got to see him once. It was amazing. The way he sings and plays simultaneously is mind blowing. Roy Buchanan backed him up as a last minute replacement for who the hell cares!
Johnny Winter casi no usaba el dedo 4 de la mano izquierda, ah ! Pero que chingon tocaba ! Maestro en improvisación, variación y memorización de riffs chingones.

Was truly a gift from Heaven! The best I ever saw.

No one could touch JW's skills in his prime.
I got to actually hold that guitar at one of Johnny's gigs, if only I could have played it like him!!

Notice at 6:10 he switches to Give Me Shelter from the Stones
WileECoyote: 'Gimme Shelter'. Thank you very much for your observation.
Johnny always been a stones fan!
And in another momento to Sunshine of your lovr

Solamente para tocar el Slide.
Yo tampoco lo uso porque me fracturé y me quedó mal.
No entiendo como puede tocar así,tan perfecto con tres dedos.
What's wrong with the 3 idiots that gave this a thumbs down. No taste in music whatsoever. Must be Madonna fans.
Yeah!
We don't give a fuck about em
This isn't "Give it Back". It's "Don't Take Advantage of Me". PLEEEEEEEASE post "Give it Back"! It's one nasty blues!
Wohhh!! Sorry, Thanks!!!!!
Nobody's that good at anything
Man, he's missing Johnny B Gayden on bass here. This bass player is out of synch and it shows.
