  • This is the option which came second in the last voting. Originally it was supposed to be just the sounds of making tea, but then I changed my mind a little bit, and decided to record also the sounds of making coffee. I'm not sure whether the difference will be noticable for you, but in my opinion coffe sounds different, especially while mixing with a teaspoon. It's probably because coffee is a bit more dense, so in result the noise is more muffled.
    Apart from the sounds of pouring hot water into the cups, there are also some crinkle, tapping, and rustling sounds.
    I created a bandcamp profile to be able to provide you access to HQ downloadable audio tracks in many different formats such as MP3, FLAC, ALAC (Apple Lossless), AAC, or Ogg Vorbis.
    Now if you wish you can download your favorite soundtrack, and listen on your mobile phone or mp3 player whenever you want: deepoceanofsounds.bandcamp.com/

    Through the last few years I've been getting quite a lot of messages from people who wanted to start their own asmr channel but were not completely sure what equipment they should choose to make a video in which the sound would be noticeably good.
    So I decided to create a list of the most important devices you need in order to start making good sounding asmr videos:
    Recommended low-end audio recorders:
    1. ZOOM H1: amzn.to/20PVdQ3
    2.TASCAM DR-05 amzn.to/1KzNaCX
    Recorders with XLR inputs and low EIN noise:
    1. OLYMPUS LS-100: amzn.to/1paBvAE
    2. ROLAND R-26: amzn.to/1R9q7Sr
    Audio interfaces:
    TASCAM UH 7000: amzn.to/1R9qcFD
    PRESONUS AUDIOBOX: amzn.to/1paBSLM
    Microphones with 3.5 mm audio jack:
    1. BE-P1 binauralenthusiast.com/product...
    2. ROLAND CS-10EM: amzn.to/1UUWC6I
    Condenser cardioid mics:
    1. RODE NT1: amzn.to/1QGSV1l
    Fanless laptops:
    1. ASUS TRANSFORMER BOOK: amzn.to/1R9qJHS
    2. ASUS ASPIRE SWITCH: amzn.to/1QGU49g

    The sound starting at 17:18 is fantastic! It almost SMELLS like coffee and FEELS like a hot mug in my hands. Incredible! :)

      The fact that you can smell the coffee is actually a real thing! It's called synesthesia! The name for someone who has synesthesia is called a synesthetes :)

    You're just wonderful. My favourite ASMR channel by far I say. Your videos are flawless, very high quality sound, wonderfully executed and you make them frequently. Not to mention you listen to your viewers by creating "polls", you give them exactly what they want, even if their option didn't come first place.

    You choose such unusual themes and make them sound so lovely! You're certainly exploring the width of ASMR. ^^

    Why do I always wait to listen to your videos when the title doesn't appeal to me? They are fantastic every time. Doesn't matter what the subject matter is.

    I'm sitting here listening and thinking about different sounds that might make for a good video... what about cutting plants? Like shearing grass, weeds, or twigs with scissors/snippers?
    I love the sound of the pouring at 5:21. You are amazing.

    I wanted to say off the bat, that I'm a huge fan of your videos! I was curious if you could post a poll with potential video lengths? Even though I'm out cold within minutes i kinda would prefer if they were a tiny bit longer

      It's called synesthesia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia :)
      I had a very similar experience, and I wrote about it over two months ago on my facebook page :)

    • @LinXKun
      @LinXKun 10 років тому +1

      Thats interesting o.o ..didnt know that was possible! The first times it occured i labeled it as coincidence like "maybe the wind blewed at the same time" even though my windows were closed. But just know with the coffe xD i thought i was going crazy.
      Thanks for telling me :) im defnitly gonna read more into this. But i must admit, the quality of your sounds is frigthening real!

      +Deep Ocean of Sounds I think all senses are overlapping filters for the world around. do you think that your synesthesia experience occurred in a sort of dissociative state of mind?

    I really liked this video! I have a question. Why is your little symbol profile thingy a pic of light waves when it's called Deep Ocean of SOUNDS? Keep up the great work!

    • @emilywilliams8447
      @emilywilliams8447 10 років тому +9

      Sound waves not light waves

    • @nanditadey5767
      @nanditadey5767 10 років тому +1

      emily williams No those are light waves cause they're different color like the visible light spectrum. Also, those waves are transverse waves and sound waves are compressional sorta like a slinky.

    • @totlyepic
      @totlyepic 10 років тому

      Nandita Dey
      ...You realize the "appearance" of waves is a graph, right? You realize there are many different graphs that can produce a wave-like appearance and that they don't need to have the same axes, right?

    • @nanditadey5767
      @nanditadey5767 10 років тому

      Yes, I do realize that. I'm just saying that traditionally and more commonly one would call them light waves. I'm sorry Deep Ocean if you're reading these comments. Just curious. Keep up the great videos though!

    • @DeepOceanOfsounds
      @DeepOceanOfsounds  10 років тому +4

      Nandita Dey I know it can be confusing, especially because of the colours, and length (red the longest , and violet the shortest) what definitely refers to the spectrum of visible light, and probably it was exactly what the author of the graphic wanted to show.
      However as someone already mentioned, as long as there is no axis, it can also be nearly everything.
      I remember that when I was searching for a youtube avatar, I couldn't find anything better with decent resolution than this graphics which was downloaded from Wikipedia. (Article about the sound)
      Please click on the link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound, scroll down, and there it is.
      The sound itself as any other mechanical wave is sinusoidal, and as you know there are many different frequencies, so the length can be shorter, and longer as well. So let's say that the wave at the top represents the lowest frequency, and the wave at the bottom has the highest. :)
      There is nothing wrong with such a statement right? (no axis involved).
      What about the colours? It's just a matter of taste :)

    Are you actually doing what the title claims? Stupid question, I know! Do hot have a pic of your face anywhere? I am deeply curious. If I could sub a billion times, I would. Are you still putting out content? I've been talking anyone who will listen about your channel. Thank you, kindly.

    Far too much tapping. Nobody taps constantly when they're msking coffee or tea. There's so much more to ASMR than nonstop tapping!,

    • @NinjaBunni13
      @NinjaBunni13 6 років тому

      Anna Inspain I agree, tapping kind of puts me off because it feels less realistic & distracts my brain.
