Thanks for this amazing video, I have problem with Super Nintendo (With Xbox Series Controller), the "Y" bottom active the MENU in the Atari... Any way to solve it?
So your using the XBOX controller! Awesome! Sadly, very sadly there is no current way to solve your problem. I’m dying for Atari to have an option to remap the buttons. I think/hope they will for version 4.0
Thanks for the nice explanation I have the same device. I want to add only the Atari 2600 games, along with pictures of the games Do you have a UA-cam video explaining how?
Hi . Thanks for the video. I have 2 question about Mame. What MAME version is used and what folders/files are needed for each game with the .zip file? Thanks.
Your welcome! It will play the MAME 2000 series. If your running 1.3 you can put the zip files in any folder name you would like. 1.2 has to be off the base “game” folder. No extra files needed, it assumes all zip files are mame.
There is a way, but it’s slightly more complicated than this and you have to manually add each game. It looks better (of course) but I have not tried it and I’m not 100% how safe it is for your system, etc … So its at your own risk! forums.atariage.com/topic/361263-custom-firmware-for-atari-gamestation-pro/
oh man this is a good question, I wish I looked at this more extensively. There was a incredibly minor difference especially with the paddle, but not enough to keep me wired to the thing. There are those that are much more stubborn about this sort of thing than me though. I hope that helps?
I'm having trouble getting Mega CD/Sega CD games running on my Gamestation Pro. I've downloaded the 3 BIOS files and they work, I can see the demo screen and can access the memory manager and CD player controls. I downloaded the US version of Earthworm Jim. I extracted the .cue and .iso files from the 7zip archive file, in the file were also some MP3 files, I guess they are the soundtrack files. I put both the iso and cue files onto the card in the same folder as the BIOS files, but the game won't run. I changed the file extension of the ISO file to .bin, this didn't help either. When I copied the BIOS files to the card, I did not rename them, the system still detected them. I cannot get Earthworm Jim to work by launching either the cue file or the ISO file, not even when I changed its extension to .bin. I don't see an error message, the game simply doesn't start. You can get 2600 paddle games to work with the paddle on the GSP, I understand these must be in a folder of their own, and I think you need to call the folder something like Atari 2600_paddle or something like that. If you can please help me get Earthworm Jim Special Edition to play, that would be awesome. Thanks.
@@Lachlant1984 I know for sure certain games have issues while others do not, I’ll try to find a list somewhere? It might be easier to pinpoint what is wrong if others are working, maybe?
@@RetroZoltan Sure, I should also look at the AtariAge forum and seeing what they say, I did set up an account there the other day and I'm waiting for it to be authorised. I think the music files were in MP3 format, but I'll have to look again.
