How is he inconsistent winning two candidates in a row with 0 loses? In other tournaments he made a lot of draws with 0 loses too. Yes he did blunder against Magnus and Ding, but that’s was huge psychological pressure
He’s actually quite consistent, 0 loses in the candidates demonstrates that very well. He’s a very aggressive player so people make stereotype about him that he is inconsistent
This game should go in a few middle-game books about pawn play and the use of both space or central stability to launch a wing attack. It's a brilliant and challenging game to understand.
Brooooo I comented on Levy's video saying that this is not 500 elo chess but looks like Mikhail Tal without watching this video. I also said kudos to Yan for this demonstration of insane level of chess skill. He just plays in such a way you don't understand what he's doing sacrificing stuff and all of a sudden you are struck with him ending in a gangster style.
Amazing game :) Thank you for presenting it to us... In that game, Nepo has shown... That moving the king to "safety" has an opposite... Moving "safety" to the king exists in the game... Well done Nepo :)
Hikaru's editor: it would be great if you could put a link to the game online in the description. Hikaru goes so fast sometimes it's good to be able to follow along on an actual board. ty

I'm not the biggest fan of Nepo but this was a masterpiece.
