The fact that the bike is roughly the same after 20+ years doesn't mean boring, or given up on. To me it compliments the engineering Yamaha put into this thing all those years ago and it calls for no further changes. Still a perfect machine for your needs today and thats amazing. There is one more subtle difference, the gearing. I believe the rear sprocket on the 05 was a tooth higher for more low end bark, a 49 tooth sprocket and in 06 it changed to a 48 for a wider band. Personally on mine i have a 49 tooth on my 06 for more punch. For anyone interested in changing your gearing up id recommended it. Keep in mind more punch, more wear.
@@tytanjan the only difference is the suspension. From 05 - 06. I have an 05 yz 125 and it's still a awesome bike man. And you can always upgrade the suspension and all that fun stuff. Lol #yamisquad 💙💙
It's HIS first impression. Yes he compares it to a 450 cause maybe it's his first time riding a 125. So basically a video about Brock's first impression on riding a 125 and a YZ.
I'm a life long mountain biker who used to ride Moto as a child. But that was 10 years ago, and now I'm seeing some mountain bikers riding Moto, and it looks fun af. Would this be a good bike for someone just trying to have fun here and there on a Moto? Probably mostly on the track but occasionally some trail riding.
I came to MX from an old Honda 125 four stroke I was able to log a ton of hours because it was so bullet proof when I started racing motocross my buddies would always lean over the fence and give me the hold it pinned sign with their throttle arm and I just be a little ticked by it because I roll the throttle on and two strokes are just like a light switch mostly,u had four main power bands,Suzuki was quick off the bottomgood mid and then, gone Yamaha was close with a little longer spread,Kawi was pretty decent low big mid and good top pull,Honda was a little bottom nice mid and they pull too like no other bike that all were better after being modified and tuned a little better, that's what's awsum about today s bike they are so perfect,it good to see some two strokes still being made, four stroke are so expensive in comparison and the rebuilds cost high too...I know in Japan they have different bikes on the showroom floors so that's cool to see I had finally mastered the two stroke technique and they went away they were fun and ill never get tired of their sound, and that gets better when they built up with a race motor.THANKS feels a little lighter don't it.
Yo wassup people, I wanna get into motorcycles(street bikes) but I don’t think I can ride one. Should I start off by buying this just to gain confidence then shift to street bikes or should I jump straight to street bikes
You don't think you can ride one. What does that mean? If you have no experience at all on bikes you got no business starting out on a 125 motocross bike. Plus, motocross versus street is night and day. I personally think motocross is more dangerous than street. Start with a moped dude. Not kidding!! You can always go up in power later on. But if you start out with huge power, you might not live to talk about it. Ease your way in.
He talks a few times about it boging coming out of corners...it's a 125 two stroke. I guess he's forgotten how to use a clutch..use the clutch and that bike will not be boging.
@@MASincorporated Anyone over 25 does know what a two stroke is. At the beginning of the video, I feel like he could have said "first off, it's the same."
@@MASincorporated I wish they'd update it somehow. The KTM is incredible. Yamaha still sells enough of them that it's still there, so why not put a LITTLE R&D in? People that aren't actively chasing district points buy these things because they're fun, actually have character, and are cheaper to own and maintain.
Yz125
What a legendary bike
andreas stefanou i have a 2019 yz 125 aswell best purchase i made in my life they really are a slick and powerful machine!
@@brandongraham7004 i have a kx250f but i am dreaming for a new yz125.
One day i will have one for sure.
Its the most fun bike even

I would imagine your first impression would be the same as 2005
2006
@@tytanjan okay you got me
Lol I was gonna comment that

And yet it still wins national championships 🤔😂

Nice to see Brock still getting some support. Really a messed up situation.

When is the Ktm first impression coming out?
Best bike. There doesn't need to be first impressions it's been the same since 2005😂😂
I’m glad Yamaha still makes it, but no real changes in a decade plus....why do a first impression video?
Subtle differences such as suspension etc

Sangar 🔥
Make an edit with brock ridding this 125 please.
Holy fuck metal. Cool ass edits
I hope they do an enduro version of this bike

Looks like it’s on performance enhancers
Fun what it’s all about
Broc hauls it on the 125, especially for a non smoker.
Any changes from 2018?
YAMAHA ALL DAY
Haha ran out of gas! Story of my Life..I'm always that guy running out of gas for some reason too.
Dude at 1:24 holy shit that was awesome.
Do these 2 strokes got fuel injection yet?
I’m 5’9 and weigh 190. Will this be good?
“First impression” * compares it to riding a 450 for 3 minutes*
Wish Yamaha would do something with the motor, 4 hp down on the KTM.

How tall is it?
1 000 taller then the Yz250 slightly by like half an inch
Obviously

why do you blame the bike for you bogging it out? learn to ride. and why are you comparing a 125 and 450?
Learn to use a clutch. It's a 125 two stroke!
I post yz125 videos and yz250 GoPro go check it out if you like 2 strokes
First comment :D
You havent first commented any of my vids so I'm not impressed.
The MX Guru just seized the opportunity when it was available, im not a normal on your youtube so i was not trying to impress ;D
The MX Guru all though if you’re nice mabey that will change ;)
SkyRack big fucking deal
Ok well it's a 125 same as it's ever been. Even looks the same as ever ago.
"Guy educates us total idiots on what a 125 is like" would be an accurate title for this video. This was a waste of my time.
Jimmy Watt 1, because no body knows what 2 stroke are anymore, 2, stating anything about the bike is arbitrary because it’s been the same for 12 years
