One suggestion is using spikes offensively to reach positions that normally require longer routes. My favorite example is the raised wooden platform on the bridge section of Lionspire. A single spike trap allows you and your team to rush an otherwise safe position, deny the enemy the supply box behind it, and make effective flanks against the enemies who pushed up to the right of it.
Engineer is def my favorite class, attacking Engineering is so much fun, like you literally can put barricades to prevent defensive spawns, its hilarious
Do you have a guide on playing the ambusher? If not, do you think you would make one? That’s one of my least played classes and a lot different than most classes I would think.
7:25 you can use one wall for the stair, place it close to the middle and a little to the right side of stair, i always use this and work's pretty good especially when using halberd
While I mostly agree with the rest of the video, I have 1 issue: 5:34 never put your barricades like this. players will get on top of them and become a lot harder to defend against. If 1 barricade breaks, the remaining barricades can also cover the attacker's flanks as they attack the tomb. Instead, place them further ahead, allowing defenders to move around the tomb freely, and use the forward barricades as good defensive positions.
I’ve been wanting to get good at the engineer class but didn’t know where to start, now that I think back to earlier games, I remember how clutch a few good engineers can be.
Ah the chadgineer, very entertaining to watch, I hold high respect for good engineers, they are the esence of team play, something to which I aspire myself.
Very good guide. I never thought about blocking things like ammonia boxes and spawn waves. I like when you talked about the guy jumping over your wall in thayic overextending and then you just decided to jump down there bare handed lmaooo
Great video. I like playing engineer on offense to utilize spike traps to get over walls to flank the enemy like on Coxwell. Slowing down a spawn wave is fun too. When played correctly, particularly on defense, it's the ultimate class for "team players" in TO.
I haven't seen a single Engie put their walls backwards and after this video, i can't help but wonder how has apparently no one noticed how useful it is to do so.
Something you forgot to cover is that as an engineer your weakness is another engineer, with the use of spike traps they can turn your walls against you if they destroy your spikes on the other side
I like to place a bear trap in falmire at the stairs to cheese the gate objective. When I'm agatha, it nearly always works unless they see me placing it.
They are kinda hard to place though, like sometimes it takes a solid 30 seconds to find a place that the game let's you. Spike traps are pretty flexible
Sometimes, yeah. They don't work when enemies are close by which is a bit weird, but I still place them in hope to get a hit. I mainly use engineer for blocking off pushables or similar stuff, so the spike trap isn't as important as if I made a wall with the barricades.
Yesterday, we were defending a gate with a fellow engineer(successfully) and a level 760 came and destroyed all the walls we put. Then we explained the situation in chat and promptly started the vote kick. It didn't reach enough yes votes. They should really do something about the vote kick system, it relies on too many people to vote yes. Trolls and toxic people get away with it all the time.
Special thanks to Lord Touchme for helping me with some of the footage
Its so satisfying having 4 coordinated engineers on one defense
4 good engees cam easily block off anything.
Back in the day, it wasn't called a "sledgehammer." it was referred to as a "Brick on A Stick." 💀

Nice video, I especially liked the tips about placing walls. Definitely going to implement this stuff into my gameplay!

I have an ambusher playstyle guide on the channel, but tbh ambushers not my best class but it may help you.

Yeah I agree that was a bad call
Forever gonna call my walls “old man jenkins’ lawn” and them kids better stay off it
Get off my lawn you whipper snappers

An engee or 2 is all it takes to completely shut down an attack
Also, on offense engi, use spike traps as ramps to go over defense engi walls or to create shortcuts for your team
I just subscribed to your channel, love the content. I've just gotten into Chivalry 2 via PS5 and have come across your videos.
Welcome, thanks for the sub

Did you notice it the next clip I had his greatsword? I actually beat his ass with my bare hands
@@Nuggz1lmao I didn’t 😂 I’m actually gonna rewatch it so I can stick this in my memory when I play engee but I’m gonna look for that lmaooo

Took me couple of trys to get those spawn blocks, they are usually suicide missions but can easily clutch
Useful stuff, gotta respect the engineers! Great video!
The true chads
Great video! I didnt expect
I’m loving the content man. This is great!
Thank you, glad you liked it
Thank you Nuggz!! Coming in clutch🙏🙏
Just glad I was able to finish it. Started this video before the update even dropped lol
Great video, Nugget! Very informative :D
Glad it could help
I just started playing chivalry a bit back, and now i really want to be an engineer
It's the clutch class for real
some great ideas here, learned a lot!
Glad it was helpful!
thanks for your video. I think they should buff the engineer when playing defense engineer.
I haven't seen a single Engie put their walls backwards and after this video, i can't help but wonder how has apparently no one noticed how useful it is to do so.
Putting them backwards is actually better because you don't get blocked by your own character model
Something you forgot to cover is that as an engineer your weakness is another engineer, with the use of spike traps they can turn your walls against you if they destroy your spikes on the other side
Yup I did forget that
Another weakness is your own team destroying your barricades before the enemy even get to them
@@TheSm1thers yeah they give team mates points for some odd reason
Great video I play engineer a lot and have not done the spawn block😭🤣
The spawn block is a suicide mission but an effective one 👌

I just started playing Chiv 2, and dabbling with Engineer. Very good guide. Very fun. But...shovel supremacy. I am speed
It is fast as hell but God that range keeps me off of it.
Counter Engineer: use stakes on enemy walls and make it "yours". Gave access to our team on the bridge objectives.
Good one^^^
nice vid
Thanks man, appreciate it.
I love playing Engi - I wish more people did.. on my team haha
Can you keep putting up walls indefinitely or is there a limit where they start despawning?
4 walls is the max
Being engineer in real life, being engineer in the game!
One pays the big bucks, the other carries every game.
engis are the MVPs

Yeah team mates get points when they destroy friendly walls so the noob probably just saw points and thought nothing of it.
@@Nuggz1 Level 760 tho... 🤔
@@DraxTheDestroyeroh I missed that, definitely a troll then
@@Nuggz1 Yeah :/
At least we won the game :D
How do you build so close to the OBJ? For me I cant place walls anywhere near the objective?
Build walls backwards
@@Nuggz1 doesnt work either. No matter how i stand it stays red.
How do you play with no ui?
On PC you can toggle hud. Go in console command and type toggle_hud
IM A FUNNEL ENTHUSIAST
Funnel supremacy 💪
Why can I only place 2 walls
You need to go to an ammo crate and pick up 2 more
@@Nuggz1 It always breaks whenever I try to place two of the normal walls am I doing something wrong? Even when I have two total walls to place
@jeremyj4710 you can place a total of 4 walls, any more than that and it will break them
Buff the engi’s walls….Oh wait
Engi is one of the strongest classes in the game, in terms of team support. 4 walls placed strategically are amazing
