    Hi Mr Casper I’ve been watching your videos for a while now. I don’t do model railroading but I’m very much into scale modeling. I learned a lot of different things from a bunch of your posts such as painting and using woodland scenic products. Thank you so much for the great info and wonderful tips. Keep up the great work.

      I'm glad you find my videos useful. I came to model railroading as a modeler first. I find that the model trains help bring a miniature setting to life. By the way, isn't the M1A1 Garand's caliber 30.06?

      William Casper As for the M1a1 I believe you are referring to the smaller version? That would be the carbine version. Or the paratrooper version because of the folding metal shoulder stock. That particular rifle chambered the .30 carbine round. The other M1a1 is the civilian version of the M-14 that chambers the 7.62 NATO round or .308 (one in the same).
