What in interesting old truck. 👍 Compared to a modern cabover there is so little room in the front of the drivers compartment where the latest class 8 Semi-trucks often have a completely flat floor or maybe just a low engine cover a couple of inches high. Drivers were real men and had a tough life in those days 👍🚛🚛🙂 Thanks for posting this up.
My dad sold Mamons at Fleet Maintenance in Eden Prairie, back in the late 70s/early 80s. He used to bring home for me, color Mamon sales brochures that were phenomenal. I wish I still had all those. Love this channel! Trucking Steve in Bloomington
Love Marmon trucks! Like how they refused to tilt the radiator shroud! Screw aerodynamics! We have a proud radiator to show off! Just a real brick going down the highway!
Ex-government truck. Bulletproof glass. Hauled a lot secret government stuff. Would run down the road with a chase car not far behind. Staff with guys from the military in plain clothes. Marmon's are some beautiful trucks. You have seen the brochures. Had a dealership here in Cleveland, Ohio. If that truck could talk.
Agreed.... this is an ex US Govt. truck.... has all the hallmarks. That mask ... though it doesn't appear to have bullet proof windshields anymore. Auto trans. The escape door on the back of the bunk.
A gentlemen I once knew had a Marmon day-cab cabover here in Colorado. It was green and I believe was CAT powered. I think it had a 10 speed transmission. It was a tandem axle rig.
I hope you know how lucky you are to be in your hometown. There is no such thing as this awesome Marmon COE in mine, nor in my region, and certainly not in my country. 😭😭😭
One of Ron's babies. Ron is Aaron Heim's dad, you know him. 1981 model w/ 400 big cam Cummins and Allison automatic. It is ex government but it was not ever bulletproof as far as I know. He bought it from the University of Kentucky. They got it from the government for hauling hay and other things.
I never did understand the allure of Marmons. I mean, at the time pretty much all makes were "hand built" as automation and assembly lines for heavy trucks didn't start until the mid 90's. It's a good looking truck sure but lol...

Wow, automatic trans as well. Amazing . Definitely needs to be fully restored.

Marmon's were a pretty rare sight on the road back in the 70's through the 90's, today they are nearly extinct.
Great looking truck!
I’ve been fortunate enough to have owned 3 had a 80 I still have 2 an 89 and a 90

Whoa! I had no idea, I’ll definitely have to get the full story from the owner now. Thanks Frank! Too cool.
Looks like an automatic. Ex government would make sense
Wonder if that green sticker means it was in the UK at one time. Cabover and auto trans would work there but a Marmon would really stand out!

That truck does not have Bullitt proofed glass because the doors are too thin, and the wind shields are normal. You can see it in the video
That's a nice Marmon cabover, the nicest I've ever seen outside of an American Truck Simulator mod!
This Marmon was a top of the line extended cab!
Love the drip edge on the top and side of the access compartments, just the leading edge!
Absolutely!
Beautiful trucks you made things wonderful make human life happy you science education original God bless America 🇺🇸
Thanks for the video first. What an amazing truck I dig the paint job on it.
You bet! For sure dude 🤙🏽
Nice clean truck. We had a gravel hauler in the area that had a daycab conventional. He ran that Marmon forever. Not sure what ever happened to it.🙁

Marmon's logo was "A Rare Breed of Truck For A Rare Breed Of Man!" That was on some sales brochures back around 1979.
Love it!!
Beautiful
Looks to be in great over all condition. Thanks for the video👍
Unique truck besides being a Marmon. Thanks for the video. Owner video would be great.

I’m thankful EVERY DAY to live where I do.
Such a hard looking cabover, 10' 4 good budgie c'mon

If you think that truck is cool, wait until you see what is inside the shop!!
Those Michaletz trucks are awesome!
@ there’s more than just the 2 Mack’s in there
Hey Man it reminds me of Transformers that one robot called PRIMUS....Ha!!Ha!!!Ha!!!.....Fuckin Cool Truck Man...Thank You...😎💯✌
Ps and automatic, most likely an Allison.

This is one beautiful truck, but it will not meet the California emission standards
Correct, the government continues to crack down on older trucks.
AUTOMATIC !!!!!!! Sacrilege. Nice old truck otherwise.
