Wow, what an old beauty! Watched a couple guys fire up an old Detroit powered Terex loader some years ago. They didn't check the motor first and were they surprised when it took off and ran away! Boy Wily, you are brave working around that old iron with no gloves on, I always wear gloves to avoid cutting my hands. Thanks for another great video and always be safe.

Those things are cool but dangerous old beasts . My step dad and his brother owned them when they were almost new machines . Those beasts never had brakes They used to drive them backwards on the highway because you can't drive them forward in high range . The rear steering is really dangerous at high speed . I'm glad someone fired it up and it started like a brand new engine . There is one near me and I have thought about buying it but I don't need it .
And a Detroit will always start , but sometimes you have to tinker with them a bit . This man knows what he is doing , you always check the rack and injectors before you start them . I've owned a newer one , a 175 C and a 125 A before .

I have a 1976 Dodge. Camper. It will not start. It ran good but it just stop. I'm so Not mechanically inclined. At all. I'm in ohio. And I would love to get it back it was my dad's. Someone told me it was probably the distributor. But I don't know nothing about Working on a motor. It's not getting fire. If you know anyone. In my area that could help me . I have. Watch your videos for so long now. I know you could get it running if you were close.
