No disrespect but you made this so boring, you could of at least been excited about what you were saying. That monotone voice scratched a hole in my soul.

@@hayleydoherty9557 lol, I tried. Her views will go up tremendously, I use her videos to dose off at night.
Thanks for the feedback
Hi
It's strange that so many videos that give advice on quitting sugar are filled with clips of people eating frosted cakes. I found the same with videos on quitting smoking showing lots of people smoking. Surely imagery of happy, people full of vitality engaging in healthy activities and eating colourful, healthy food would be more motivating.
That was definitely a consideration lol. Thanks for the feedback
It’s Br-roll used to change the shot every now and then. Or to emphasise the point spoken at the time. It’s normal for videos to have these sorts of clips in. Documentaries also do this too
I thought the same thing
Step one, we admitted we were powerless over food/ sugar and our lives had became unmanageable.
Step two, believed a power greater than ourselves could restore us back to sanity.
Step 3 became willing to turn our lives over to the care of God as we understand him.
😂
Have you been to any in-person meetings?
@@birgitjackson5386absolutely!
@@birgitjackson5386 for whatever reason I can't see my reply. So I'll do another. Yes! Absolutely. In person meetings for Alcohol.
This is exactly me rn. Deep depression, itchy legs/body. I know I’m a sugar addict and have been my entire life. Sugar is ruining my mental health, teeth, and overall well being. I literally feel crazy and it makes me so angry how socially acceptable sugar is.
How’s it going? I’m also addicted to it, I binge it everyday and can’t imagine a life without it but it ruins my body in every way…
You're not alone!
Awe sorry to hear that, Emiliah
I used to relate to this on so many levels. You’ll get so fed up with this issue one day you’ll give it up and never look back! 🤞
As a former sugar addict I can confirm that these are all great tips, and they certainly work! Thank you for sharing!
You bet! Thanks for sharing 💜
Talking about being an addict in the beginning. It's actually true. Sugar is just as addictive as opioids on the brain. There is a 12-step program called overeaters anonymous which helps address that part. Sometimes we have to find out the why behind it.... It could be physical. Could be mental, could be trauma. I believe it's all. I'm currently being treated for candida overgrowth. Glad I found this video.
So true!
Great video! Step 1 @ 4:50
Updating Your Reward System. Great point! I used to eat a sugary food to make me feel better whenever agitated. It led to worse behaviors. Now I exercise daily and am fighting to repair all the horrible impairments that I caused, including cognitive impairments.
It sounds like you have made some major improvements!👍
I relate sooooo much to being addicted to sugar as a kid. As a child I had emotional pain and I think sugar was my dopamine hit. It soothed me.
Absolutely! Thanks for sharing. Hopefully you are in a better place now: )
❤I am 7 days sugar free ( junk food free!). I am using Xs on my calendar. This really is inspirational. I gave up Diet Coke last year at this time. I only drink water. So, I am adding another layer!
That’s great! Keep it up 👍
I'm like about to cry... I'm really struggling with a lot of this and it felt good to hear that you were once as out of control as me and that you made it to the other side... thank you thank you 🙏🏾💞
You got this!

Thank you Karli and Pretty Nikki🌹🌹♥️♥️
Finally someone who has good advice and has been there❤️thank you
How kind! Thanks
Love the physical calendar idea.
So empowering!!
Awesome! Glad you found it helpful.
I’m going on 72 and have had sugar craving most all my life. There have been times when i quit sugar, but why water is different and goes right to hydration vs drinking something with calories that has to go through digestion is something I’ve never heard before. I think this will help me just drink water. 👍
Awesome! I'm glad this resonated with you. Hydration improves every body function👍
Wow! Congratulations! Any suggestions for the awful headaches I'm having today. I'm only on day 2
I love the taste of sweets, when I eat them I feel like I want more and more and more. I am the product of two alcoholic parents I’ve been dealing with this sugar addiction all of my 64 years!
Hi Fran,
My heart goes out to you with this insatiable problem. It took a long time to overcome my sweet tooth but it was absolutely worth it!
@@NaturallyKarli I understand, one is too much and a thousand is not enough, right?
It’s so hard. I’m 50. I would not say I’m addicted to sugar. I can talk myself out of it sometimes. But can I say “I’m never going to have cake again for the rest of my life? Or a bag of M&Ms?” I just can’t see it happening.
Thank you for sharing your story!
Thanks for watching!
As a pre-diabetic and surrounded by it at work daily, for me, the only items that worked are: Metformin (curbed appetite and needed it for my blood sugar issues), light daily exercise, and an SSRI. For some reason the SSRI helped me to curb food cravings in general.
Thanks for sharing. Do you aspire to curb cravings naturally in the future? Meds don’t come without side effects. Hope you’re doing well!
For decades I was hooked on sugar but also salt (ready salted crisps/chips, family size, 3 bags a day) and refined flour (pastries, 3 pizzas a day). I had no idea about how extreme your food addiction was too, Karli, so I'm even more impressed with what you've achieved, your discipline in sticking to a WFPB way of eating and the positive, effective way in which you help people (also very impressed with the healthy way you raise your gorgeous daughter). It's so important to find something you love about yourself (creativity, kindness, love of nature and animals) and believe that you deserve better, you deserve to be healthy and free from addiction. I too became addicted to junk food in childhood and I alternated between bingeing and extreme dieting from age 12 to age 54, I was suicidal and depressed, agoraphobic, out of work. What actually saved me was being in lockdown because I could only order food online and I simply stopped ordering junk and only bought salads, fruits and veggies, falafel and hummus, there was simply no more junk in the house so I gradually weaned myself off junk food and lost weight immediately. For some reason a UA-cam video about WFPB eating popped into my recommended videos and this time I listened and acted on it. I've now been WFPB oil & sugar-free for 3 years, slim and maintaining my slim weight for the first time in my life. Still working on reducing salt but I've just done all my blood tests and everything's fine, I'm no longer pre-diabetic and I make sure I always tell my doctor and my dentist that the reason why I'm so well now is that I'm WFPB. Thank you Karli
Wow, Lulu! That is an inspiring story! It sounds like we have a lot in common. And thank you for all your wonderful compliments. It's nice to interact with other like-minded folks who understand the struggle of processed food addiction. Thankfully, we were both able to turn things around before it was too late. I also tell my docs and dentist about my diet being the major alteration I made in my health. Such an important message to pass along!
This is the BEST UA-cam video I’ve ever watched! Not only did it hit home for me, I love the action steps you presented.
Do you ever drink red wine? Through the years I have given up most alcoholic beverages; however, I do like a beer with the rare occasion I have pizza and I enjoy a glass of red wine sometimes with dinner.
Special occasion drinks and treats enhance our experience for some. If you enjoy them, great! Personally- with my autoimmune complications and my obvious predisposition to being a sugar addict, I just prefer to refrain from drinking and sweets. But who knows, maybe things will change for me some day.
Thank you for your wonderful comment💜
Excellent video. Thank you so much ❤️

I’m so happy you enjoyed it! Let me know how your family responds. I love the group effort 👍
@@NaturallyKarli well we got through a kids meeting without eating the cupcakes and got through Walmart without any sweets…
I use a trick from a friend of mine. I put a sweet in my mouth, taste it then decide it’s not worth swallowing it and spit it out to save myself from the sugar repercussions.
Interesting. You must have tremendous willpower
@@NaturallyKarli not really. I shouldn’t even consider eating sugar😂
Haha, yeah but it's a hard one to completely kick! You are doing much better than many others
I used to do that. Alot of movie stars do that, Dolly Parton is one. She chews the food, spits it out. It's how she stays slim
Thank you for this great informative video.
Glad it was helpful!
I used to have ferocious sugar cravings and found it nearly impossible to go w/o sugar, if I passed sugary sweets in the break room they stayed on my mind , always chose the most frosted piece of cake, etc. Over a year ago I started taking berberine (500mg w/ each meal) and it changed my taste preferences. I even found it hard to eat such sugary foods, the taste was no longer appealing, a bit revolting. It took about a week but it happened.
How interesting! Thanks for sharing
Thank you for the effort you put in your video very informative
Thanks Guchi!
Thank you I have been off bad sugar for a month and I feel way better but the calendar was a great suggestion.

Thank you very much for all the information, I am a sugar addict like my father, he would have packets of lollies in his bedroom cupboard but he would have terrible rages when he wasn’t able to get his fix which was very scary. My addiction is affecting my health so thank you again for the information
Glad to hear things are moving in a positive direction for you!

Thank you so much, light at the end of the tunnel.I hate sugar and what it is doing to me,or what I'm doing to me!Thankyou.❤

I ❤sugar - been paying way more attention to it. I still have an extreme need for something sweet after dinner but don’t crave it as much on the morning like I use to. Hearing this video really reminds me of this item in my diet being a “problem”, thank you!
I used to experience that as well. Such a taxing process. Now savory items are so much more enticing! FINALLY lol
Fruits are nature's sweets
Agreed!!!
I always crave sugar when I wake up 😭 that’s how I ruin my day. How did you get rid of your cravings in the morning?
@@Emiliah1996 Maybe you should try sweet breakfast, like oats or semolina/gritz with peanut butter and a lot of sweet fruits on top (banana, strawberry, pears etc.).
Fantastic tips. I really want to be more mindful of my cravings. I’m going to be more aware of my habits and try to challenge the voice in my head when I’m looking for something sweet
Good luck! We all have to start somewhere 💜

Thank you for this video. I am a sugar addict and I don't want to continue to live this way. I've been improving my diet over the last couple of years, but still have a long way to go. I was diagnosed with celiac a couple of years ago, and being forced to read labels has helped me face the reality of highly processed foods. But sugar --- ah sugar! (Gluten-free Oreos.) I am listening to you and thinking about motivations, rewards and non-rewards. I just got out a physical calendar to start marking days off. Thank you.
That’s great, Frances! I’m glad you found it helpful. I too feel that celiac forced me to recognize my habit much sooner than I otherwise would have.
Be patient with yourself. This took me many years to overcome. You’ll get there💜
I'm celiac too, but, GF Oreos just too much for me. I tried it once and binged on half the container.
@@MargaretJEllis I just can't keep them in the house. We have to be honest: Once we start, we just can't stop. Therefore, don't start.
My thoughts exactly. It's just not worth it in the end. Now fruit is way more appealing than those artificial, hyperpalatable items
I used to need chocolate daily. Then I became whole food plant based because of some health issues (so similar to you…celiac, skin etc), and my life changed. SOSFree and I loooooove the freedom from compulsion. I do not crave sugar in the least. I haven’t had chocolate in over a decade and I truly feel no deprecation. Sweet potatoes and fruit and winter squash are super sweet and satisfying time now. I also use them to sweeten my baked goods for my whole family. Been eating this way for fourteen years and am finally starting to share some videos about how we make this work for our family. It can so simple and sustainable.
Yes! Keep sharing your tips and resources, please. This is a very generous and supportive community. Thanks for your comment💜
I would like to know how u bake like this , thanks for sharing.
Hi, Have you started a UA-cam account that I can follow? I find your achievement coming off sugar very impressive and would love to see the videos. I'm a chocoholic, chocolate is my best friend/worst enemy! Thanks, Lorraine
How long was it before you didn't crave the chocolate or chips? Also, do you honestly never feel the urge to have just one when at a party or when donuts are brought to the office?
@@user-kh1cb3kq8zI genuinely don’t. Not eating sugar and chocolate at all is the absolute key for me. I’m sure that if I ate even a bit, I would crave it incessantly. I do recall that, I frequently made myself oatmeal cooked with one frozen banana and 1 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder, and then cooled with frozen blueberries and it totally satisfied any cravings. There is a recipe on my channel (my channel is keeping it simple. If you search for that and “sweet potato”, you should find me.)
Another key for me is making absolutely sure I am eating to complete satisfaction with whole, wet starches. I eat a lot of whole fruits, veggies, and starches to keep my hunger satisfied.
Moderation, for me, never worked. As much as I wish I could be that type of person.
Thank you so much for this! So much of what you said rings true for meat and dairy for me too. I’m trying to get off those and sugar. These tips are so helpful!
I can understand dairy, but meat is about as far from dangerous as you can get, in regards to proper human nutrition.
What about protein ? This is basically a plant based diet ! Then fruit will be my means of natural sugar . Everything has sugar in it & carbs turn into sugar & that's what is giving me my sugar cravings .I have given up so much of my consumption of food and I eat very clean and healthy ! Now .. I only get my sugar cravings after eating my dinner , no other time throughout the day !! How is this possible? I have been a diabetic for several years !
If I don't crave sugar during the day can you tell me why it only hits me after dinner?? Thank you 🤔
@@sunflowerhelen9933 based on my research and my doctors recommendation, you are wrong. But to each their own. Plant based diets are not bad diets and I’m still getting tons of protein (which you don’t need as much as we’ve been told we do.).
@@ruthharris1093 yes. I’m on a plant based diet. You don’t need as much protein as you think. I get lots from beans, rice, oatmeal and so on. I’m talking processed sugar. I’m not talking nature sugar from fruits and such. They have fiber and make them less likely to spike blood sugar.
Edited to finish - I have no idea why you specifically are getting those cravings after dinner. Try eating fruit as dessert. 😊
You got this!
I have been to three dietitians. Asking pledging for their help with this. Seems with pcos and Hashimoto I can’t get over the cravings. Than come to find out I have Sibo . I want you to know you a an Angel and this knowledge is gold. I even typed in how to stop in so many ways . Thank you again!!!!!
I’m so glad to hear that you enjoyed it! Good luck on your health journey
When I decided to remove processed sugars from my diet, I replaced them with something healthy for a treat. When I crave something rich and sweet, I will eat some organic banana with some organic peanut butter and I feel content with that. The ingredients on the peanut butter are organic peanuts, and sea salt.
I just had something really yummy. Unsweetened almond milk with a frozen banana with a scoop or whatever of carob powder. Absolutely delicious thick just like a milkshake......no sugar....
That sounds great!
I freeze sliced bananas circles n peanut butter. When you need a sweet.
I have a hard time completely giving up sugar. Giving it up for a while sounds not too bad.
Baby steps 😉
This was very helpful. I enjoyed hearing your history of sugar addiction. I'd love to hear more about how you actually were able to get off sugar and stay off for 5 years! Amazing!
That’s great! I’m so glad you enjoyed it.
I will definitely make more videos on this subject 👍😊
I’m taking notes. This is excellent!!! Am listening and relistening. Thank you 🙏🏽

Great. Thank you!

I really the X on my calendar for each day I’ve been sugar-free. I can visually see “I’m on a roll!!!” & don’t want to break that momentum.
Yes! Sometimes it really is the simplest things that make a difference ❤️
Congratulations! I am in the same boat, as you were.
I wonder if sugar really is bad.
It is a reward thing, a transition thing.
But it can cause me to be spacy, and I have dental problems.
Thank you, for some much needed help.
It's hard to get help with such things now.
This is the best that I've seen.
It is eye-to-eye (respectful, and relevant).
I can try. 🙄☺😉👍🚶🏃🕺
Hope all goes well. 🌅
Yes! Thank you! I appreciate your kind words
The best way to beat an addiction is to not think of it. Once you start thinking about it, it’s difficult and tortuous to stop.
I agree, distraction can help some people with their cravings
I would add, find replacements for your sugary favourites. Greek yogurt and berries, protein chips, Dark chocolate dipped in natural pb
Fruit is the only alter that doesn’t leave me obsessing over eating more when it comes to sweets. But Im sure some people might get by with your suggestions 👍
Since childhood I've suffered from chronic hives/angioedema. I quit alcohol almost 2 years ago and was flare free for one year. However, I'm flaring again and I feel sugar is the issue because I go through periods where I binge on sugar :(
Thanks for sharing this! I experienced a similar issue. Stay strong 💪
I loved candy growing up and still do in my 60s. Got off for a year or so and back on now.
Wow, thanks for sharing. Are you going to kick the habit again soon? Now you know it’s possible for you 👍😊
@@NaturallyKarli I'm trying and working on it again.
That's great! These videos are a great way to stay motivated- it's helpful knowing you're not alone in this struggle.
What are your thoughts on the use of stevia?
Thank you 😊
I encourage people who are tormented by sweets to refrain from any concentrated sweetener. Stevia is not going to improve your health or nourish you, but if you’re already healthy- it’s not a deal breaker. Hope that helps
I have used stevia for decades. Yet, it's from a natural plant and the powder was green. Now it's white because it's bleached! I don't want bleach in my body! I usually use liquid stevia, which comes in various flavors as well..
I find the backstory helpful. It’s your channel. Take as long as you need to tell your story.
Awe, thanks Mama Katz😉
I really like the video. Sugar is addictive and when I fall off the wagon I hit hard. I can get back on the wagon but only when I really want to and I can stay on it as long as I choose to say no to sugar.
Best of luck 🤞
I threw out a half box of biscuits after Christmas so I couldn't eat them. If the sweet thing is not in the house I can't eat it. My family were not very happy initially.
That's fantastic! (Even if the fam didn't agree) 😉
You look good considering your past diet choices! 😊👍

You have a new subbie! Thank you for sharing. I'm so hooked on dark chocolate. The first I crave in morning is dark chocolate.😢
Do you think it would be healthier to make your own?
I think they say its a magnesium deficiency when we crave chocolate.
@@BunnyTree wow that makes sense. Especially since I am vegan. May not be getting enough.
Hmm, never heard that one before. Magnesium is in almost all plant foods 👍
You need to be honest about fruit sugar . Its still sugar. In the past fruit was seasonal where as now its available all year . Sweeter varieties have been developed in comparison to what our ancestors ate .
In my practice, fruit sugar has only been an issue for clients when the sugar has been extracted from the fruit. But eating the fruit whole hasn't led to craving, distress, etc. And on the flip side- whole fruit is very health-promoting. But if fruit is triggering for you- by all means, do what you feel is best for your body. Thanks for commenting
I never heard about water being absorbed without digestion! Makes sense why many in the Keto Vloggers Cmmty (especially carnivores) will say to drink your water like an hour after you eat your meat so your stomach acid can be effective in digesting process.
Hmm, maybe. It’s all very interesting

One of the thought processes I became aware of this holiday season is this, "If I eat it all now, then it won't be here to tempt me later." So irrational especially when I get so high when I eat ALL of it and then crash so hard that I HAVE TO GET MORE NOW! Gee whiz, Lord help me!
Been there!
I think that very same way!!!
Were u the person who talked about a scale that could evaluate a food and their sugar content
Nope, but that sounds interesting... and a bit unlikely 🤔
I found this video very helpful. I was also raised on sugar. The difference is that I'm now 62 and and in the last few years, this sugar based lifestyle has caught up to me. I have a lot of the issues you've mentioned, mostly just feeling like garbage all the time. Five days ago, I decided to try to give up sugar, and experienced a lot of withdrawal symptoms, dizziness, irritability and depression. Yesterday, I gave in and ate a fair amount of sugar, but I am not giving up. I do need to remind myself of the reasons I'm doing this. To be able to feel better, have better looking skin, to not feel like garbage at the end of the day, to be able to have some long lasting energy would be great! Do you have ay tips for helping the withdrawal symptoms ? Is it better to quit cold turkey or wean off of sugar? I'm trying to think of sugar as poison, so I think I just answered my now question! Would I wean myself off of poison? No.
But thank you for this video, it's nice to know there are others out there working on this too!
Cold turkey! 💯 And congrats on your success. Even one day without giving in is extremely challenging. Keep focusing on how the benefits outweigh the negatives of eating sugar. You’re doing great 😊
@@NaturallyKarli thank you so much for your encouraging words! ❤️
Hope you are doing well. I also believe in going cold turkey from sugar. I personally did the Whole30 eating plan. I would recommend it.

Replacing concentrated sweeteners with the real thing (fruit) seems to provide the best health outcomes. Thanks for your comment!
The honesty of your backstory is powerful and made me believe your b life that sugar was the culprit. Without that, you’d just be another neutral talking head trying to get us to buy, click, subscribe. So thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your challenges. Great video! I do not think you took too long to get to the point. I do think 🤔 some people may need to have a little more patience. I hope to kick sugar this year too! ❤
I totally agree! Haha thanks for your input. & best of luck! 🤞
I have been told that people cannot comprehend where I get my patience, especially working with preschoolers and children with special needs! This lady is too wordy and doesn't get to the point, period.
Hi Karli,Thank you for telling your story, it sounds a lot like mine. I started the 40 day sugar fast 10 days ago. I haven’t had cookies or candy, pop, ice cream, etc. but it’s starting to get very hard for me to continue. Thank you for the 5 steps, I will do it❤
You got this! Thanks so much for sharing. Let me know how things unfold during the challenge.
Today is day 2 of finally deciding to quit sugar. I am having the worst headaches. How long before these pass? And any suggestions?
The length of time varies for everyone but the symptoms usually subside after the first week. Try a 10-13 minute meditation. Those are really effective for eliminating headaches
Is it bad to replace sugar with sugar substitutes - like Splenda, or Stevia, or even honey?
It depends on what you’re hoping to accomplish.
A new plan for Karli. My darling, fried sugar with mint frosting.
Lol oh no! 🙊 That sounds awful
And what did sugar do for me. I have type 2 diabetes and neurological neuropathy. I have to be careful what I consume. I used to be 350 pounds 5 foot 8 inches but now now weigh 229 thanks to keto carnivore lifestyle. I have one bad habit that Saturday donut for breakfast. I need to give this up!
Congrats on the weight loss 👏
I think the video can be however long the video creator wants it to be but would love and appreciate timestamps ❤😊
Oh, great idea! Thanks
Thanks for this helpful video 😊❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
One more thing..... i just am getting over having Covid and it is amazing to me how i just naturally do not want my Coke Zeros and the Christmas sweets we have around. Each time i try to eat a small piece of chocolate i just end up not wanting it. It goes to show that when sick our bodies naturally reject the things not good for us. I have been drinking a lot of water and tea. Whereas i usually go for coffee throughout my day.
Oh no, hope you feel better. Is your sense of smell compromised? That may play a role also
When I start to get really bad I will get carrots and much on them when I’m wanting a sugar fix.
Great tip!
How do I avoid sugar if I have no willpower and my husband constantly brings sugary snacks and junk food home? He claims that is the only way he won’t lose too much weight. I ask him to help me by eating healthier food, but the bad foods keep coming into the house and he eats them in front of me all the time.
Sounds like a healthy discussion is warranted about how you might best support each other. Have you suggested a designated area for his items where you can’t easily view them? That’s always the first step. Good luck on your journey!
Good morning. So, no sugar at all. Not even on special occasions. Or a latte once a week?
It depends on what you are trying to accomplish 😊
Is it only for unnatural sweets? Fruits, bread, pasta, etc is ok?
Hi Joanna! It depends on how sensitive someone is. I always give fruit the green light but some people find bread and pasta to be too triggering. In general, I find it helpful to remove any questionable items for a month or so before slowly adding them back in and observing how you feel. These processed items can bring about cravings and excessive preoccupations with food for some. Awareness is key 😊
I didn’t mind the backstory, and the tips seem really good. My question is this: I see so many of these types of videos, and the person telling us they had this severe sugar addiction is slim and trim. Most of us with a severe sugar addiction also have extra weight. so then I start questioning the veracity of the backstory. But it certainly could be somebody’s backstory… And maybe not everybody gains weight while eating that much sugar. But wow, I would say that’s an unusual metabolism.
Great question! Keep in mind it has been nearly 9 years since I was a sugar fiend. Secondly, if you watch some of my other videos you will see I also have a tendency to over exercise. When I was eating loads of candy and other sweets, it was difficult to maintain a healthy weight.
New sub here😊
Welcome!!
Are you totally sugar free? Like making sure no sugar in the labels? I haven’t gone that far yet, maybe I should.
I try not to buy anything with a label. Problem solved lol; )
This approach is certainly not for everyone though, understandably. We all could use a little convenience in our lives.
I find once you get past the first couple of weeks, not gonna lie if you’re a sugar addict the withdrawal is going to be rough. Once you’re past that though you are laughing, you feel fantastic and you stop having any interest in the sweet stuff. That’s how it was for me anyway.
Yes! I totally agree
All the pictures made me want sugar😮
Oh no! I did worry about that when creating the video. Sorry 😞
I love the calendar idea! Its like getting chips in AA!
👍 you bet!
Does this include fruit?
Fruit is a fantastic substitute for commercial sweets👍
I read once where a person said that when we crave sweets, it's really our body craving fruit
I am killing myself with sugar, carbs and flour. I literally feel like I'm going to die if I can't break free of poor food choices. I feel like a drug addict, but my drug choice is cupcakes or donuts or pie. And I get withdrawal symptoms if I try to stay away from it. I haven't felt healthy for years. It's become my coping mechanism and my comfort when I'm sad or stressed. I don't think alcoholics and drug addicts can just quit by themselves and I don't think I can just choose to walk away from sugar like it's a lifestyle choice I can just decide to stop. I didn't really hear you give concrete ways ways to break free. I only heard you suggest that we should track our progress. Huh???
Mine is Red Bull and Oreos. The cravings are so powerful. 😭
@@GenRN did you know Red Bull has caused heart attacks and high blood pressure? Be careful, too many can be dangerous.
Gradually crowd out the junk foods with real, whole plant foods and your taste buds/dopamine response will naturally stabilize. Good luck
@@NaturallyKarli yes, I’ve cut out all simple and processed carbs and these are the 2 last cravings hanging on.
How come I’m not losing weight when I give it up. That alone should drop my weight.
Are you eating more bread or pasta after giving up the sweets? I went through tgat when I gave up sweets. I only lost 3 pounds when I quit sweets but I ate cranberry great & or pumpkin bread ir banana bread
Oils and animal foods are the major causes of weight gain in Westernized societies.
Hi l dont eating chocolate biscuits cake sweet too much sugar bad for the skin ❤ xx
I completely understand! 😄
Do you ever wish for something sweet or have a hard time when someone is enjoying sugary foods?
I crave fresh fruit sometimes after meals but it’s not overpowering like sugar cravings get. And no, watching others eat that stuff is aversive to me. Great questions!
@@NaturallyKarli thank you
I was sexually abused as a teen so I used sugar to cope.
Cyber hugs, when you need and want them, from another survivor who is thriving.
It’s far too common a pathway to get hooked on processed carbs overall.
@truepeacenik Thank you🥰. I definitely is. Glad to know I'm not alone.
What a supportive community. I am very sorry to here about each of your struggles❤️🩹
We do such strange things to cope sometimes
You are telling my story. Buying the huge bags of gummy worms all of it thank you
Yes! “Family size”. Lol diabolical. Who stocks up on gummy bears for the whole fam???
If you crave gummies, why not get some gummy vitamins?
When you are eating sugar while watching the video bc the thought of quitting sugar stresses you out 😅
Lol oh no 😬
Do you eat fruit?
Tons! lol
