- The Pink Panther: Passport to Peril is a 1996 adventure computer game that teaches children about six countries with the Pink Panther. The countries Pink visits are: England, Egypt, China, Bhutan, India and Australia.
The Pink Panther: Hokus Pokus Pink is a sequel to Passport to Peril that was released on October 18, 1997.
The Pink Panther is sent by Inspector Clouseau, his employer in this game, to Camp ChillyWawa, a summer camp for gifted children, to protect the camp from a mysterious threat. Once there, he meets a group of multiethnic youths as well as the Little Man stock character from Pink's animated shorts in the role of a camp counselor. He also reconnects with an old friend of his, Von Schmarty, a scientist and caricature of Albert Einstein who shows him his numerous inventions.
Soon after Pink arrives, the children start acting strangely and contradictory to their nature, hating their camping experience despite Pink's every effort to appease them. Pink finds himself traveling around the world, followed by three dogs who claim to represent the "Better Camping Bureau", to solve the mystery and restore order to the camp.
Armed with a PDA (which stands for "Pink Digital Assistant") that contains information on the indigenous people, languages, clothing, entertainment, art, history, nature, and foods of each pertinent country in the game, Pink travels the globe fulfilling various tasks based on the children's needs and whereabouts. He eventually gathers enough evidence to prove that the dogs' leader, the Dogfather, intends to ruin Camp ChillyWawa's reputation so it will be closed down, allowing him to open a lucrative fast food restaurant in its place. The Dogfather then reveals to Pink that he replaced the camp's children with robotic clones programmed to hate the camp unconditionally. Pink engages in a final confrontation with the Dogfather and his henchmen, Pugg and Louie, as well as a traitorous Little Man that ends with all four villains sucked into a powered suction pump and the captured children released.
Returning in triumph to Inspector Clouseau's office, Pink turns down his next mission, an embarrassing cover job, and vows to leave the spy business.

There is something cozy about this game
you can play it again in newer computers... I have a mac and I managed to install it using a Windows XP virtual box. Brought back so many memories (although I am more attached to the Brazilian Portuguese dubbed version, which is the one I have installed it).
You know for 1995 this looks and sounds amazing.

This game was really educational for me, a school kid, it gave me an idea what different nations were like, and even now I enjoyed listening to the rhyming slang verses and stuff. One of the few games I don't regret spending my time in.

My entire childhood. I found out years later that it had a sequel and I found it super cheap so bought it to play. It just wasn't the same it was boring and didn't produce the same feelings but maybe that is just because I have no nostligalic feelings towards it. Honestly still my favorite game ever, I spend hours upon hours playing it as a child and still go back now and then to play it.

2:54:58 - My girlfriend owned this game when she was younger, and played it a lot. I, on the other hand, was a huge DDR fan, and played that game a lot when I was younger. Recently, she showed me this playthrough, and when I heard the sound effect at the timestamp, I was blown away, because that sample is the same one used in the song AFRONOVA by RE-VENGE, and to my knowledge, these are the ONLY two video games in existence that I know of that use that sample; this game, and DDR 3rd Mix. Just a very bizarre coincidence that kinda blew my mind when I heard it.
Well, in Alone in the Dark they use a tune when a zombie comes up that is also heard at Back to The Future.

I played this a lot as a kid back in the 2000s and it's pretty nostalgic to me. Unfortunately, I never got past Stonehenge because computers got too advanced for this game. I've been itching to replay this every now and then, but that has proven to be pretty difficult. I even tried downloading it a couple years ago, but it seems like my computer didn't have the right files. So unless I'm lucky enough to find an old but still functioning CD-ROM drive and computer than can run this game, I guess the only way I can play it again is to wait for a remaster/remake. But who knows when or if that's ever going to happen.

I watched both of those games in polish dubbing, and the dub in both of the games is completely different. Here some lines are just shortened and some extended.

I used to both Watch and maybe play this back in the day. I was born in 2006 btw so it's in the 2010's. What? 2012? I swear though. The opening of The Wolf Among us and the way the Graphics are remind me of this game and another one Similar to this. I believe there was 3 of em or more.

You know, in the spanish version of this game there is not a song in the credits even though the song was translated to spanish, it wasn't included to the game. Someone found it inside the code of the game after more than 20 years hidden. Maybe it was a last minute decision not including it.....Bad decision the song is beautiful.
In the Dutch versions they just used the English songs
