Great comment... this game reeks of a false memory. I was 5 when this came out, and watching the playthrough, I was evidently unable to get past identifying the characters on the cover of the book... something special about that era and age man, where these games seemed mystifying and impossible. _sigh_
Well, after all the Disney references Warner Bros made, it was about time Disney made a Warner Bros reference. 🤣 I think my favorite Disney reference via Warner Bros was the Merrie Melodies cartoon 'A Corny Concerto'. It was a light-hearted jab at Fantasia.
On one hand, the animation of this game is budgeted beyond belief. On the other hand, this game is the same kind of story fiddling unseen by Disney since Cinderella 3, which I am fairly certain came after this. And by that, I mean the kind of Villian winning scenario that I do so enjoy. And you can tell the voice actors were really trying in this.
When I was a kid, Alice standing there without her head absolutely freaked me out. I always had to hide my eyes the few times she showed up on screen, and the fear she'd pop up again made the Wonderland part a very high-tension ordeal LMFAO
Disney’s Villains’ Revenge is dedicated to Hans Conried and Verna Felton, the people who voiced Captain Hook and the Queen of Hearts from the 2 original films, Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland.
I was so astonished when I was a kid that Jiminy Cricket ripped out the happy ending pages! Now, it's hilarious because it's like "why would Jiminy do that? He's Pinocchio's conscious!" It's brilliant! Love this game
Even in the original Pinocchio, even when he was dubbed Pinocchio's conscience, he's not exactly a completely moral character who always does the right thing. I mean he grumpily avoided watching the puppet show but as soon as puppets appeared doing the can- can dance, he pulls out a pair of spectacles with an astonishing look. He's just as flawed as any other morally ambiguous person and he too goes through a sort of character arc alongside Pinocchio
The voice of Alice was provided by veteran Disney voice actress Kathryn Beaumont who had played Alice in "Alice in Wonderland" and the beloved Wendy from "Peter Pan."
I relate to the other comments - I too thought this was a fabricated memory. I last played this probably when I was 9 years old. I'm 25 now, and multiple times in my young adult life, I remembered this game, and couldn't find it each time I searched. My problem was that I kept looking up "pinnochio game", because I thought it was specifically a game about pinnochio due to jiminy cricket being in the memory. I finally looked through a list this morning of all disney pc games, and I saw the description of this one say "point and click" and "jiminy cricket" and immediately knew I finally found it. SO relieving to finally resolve this.
I never played the actual game. I just had a Disney Interactive demo CD, and the demo of this game was on it. The demo ends with the doors on the book opening, and the vortex sucking everything in. This is also the only memory that stuck with me - the visual of the vortex in the book, and being inside the vortex, is what I've vaguely remembered all these years. It was probably a very mysterious ending to the demo to me as a child, hence the lasting memory.
Thanks for bringing me back to a sweet old time memories...I used to love playing the Snow White part, those potions are so beautiful to look at and used to make me dreamy...
Dude I thought I imagined this game growing up, vividly remember weird aspects of it and being low key scared whenever I played it but I still loved it.
And add more villains and twisted endings: *Gaston successfully killing Beast, and have Belle forcefully marry him against her will. *All of Paris being burnt by Frollo, Quisy & the gypsies being tortured, and whitewashed Esmeralda. *Maleficent ruling the land while Philip is aging rapidly & Aurora still in her long slumber. *Hades ruling Olympis & Hercules becoming a skinny weakling. *Ursula becoming queens while Ariel and her family are turned into Nimatoads (I think that's what those groaning things are). *Cruella selling Dalmatian coats that are successfully being sold & made. *Hans ruling Arendale while both Elsa & Anna are frozen statues, and Olaf melted. *Bellwether enslaving predators with shock collars (as seen in the deleted concept of the movie). Scar & Jafar already had their twisted ruling worlds in their movies.
This really scratched a nostalgia itch for me, thanks for uploading! Thought of this game randomly today and I love seeing how many other people played it as a kid!
This was a very fun game. It's like playing Kingdom Hearts. I used to play this a lot, along with the mini games to this. This game makes me feel like a little kid again. If only there were more games like this. If only there was a sequel too.
You if they do a villain revenge 2 the movies should be Pinocchio, the jungle book, the lion king and sleeping beauty. The villains should be : Stromboli or Coachman ( you choose who ) , Shere khan, Scar and Maleficent
@@Nabnab_TheTwistedOne Stromboli or the Coachman, tough choices since they are both evil. But I think I might choose the coachman, since he has the cruelty of turning kids into donkeys and sell them in to slavery.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who remembers this game. It was so much fun but so terrifying at the same time. I was only 6 when I played it when it first came out.
It's not that it's "weird", but it's kind of a mockery of how Disney treated the actual actor for Peter Pan ...... and then they didn't even give him a Redemption Arc. At least here Peter Pan got his happy ending.
Bobby Driscoll definitely deserved better. Howard Hughes left the biggest impact on his career derailment. I refuse to watch the Chip and Dale movie knowing what they did with the villain
I really wish they could remake or rerelease this as a multi console game and added more villains (and their twisted endings): Evil Queen, Chernabog, Queen of Hearts, Captain Hook, Maleficent, Cruella De Ville, Ursula, Gaston, Jafar, Scar, Judge Claude Frollo, Hades, Yzma, Dr. Facilier, Mother Gothel, Hans, Mayor Belwether, and Tamatoa. Hades and Maleficent would be the main antagonists of the game, while Chernabog would be the final boss.
ah, well, for the ultimate Disney villains revenge, wish's king magnifico would say hello to the shadows behind him, here's the plot Maurice has become the owner of the Devil's Eye and has moved to Virginia with his daughter Belle and is now living with the native people. but when they find the latter & Pocahantis are officially part of the Disney princess line King magnifico (Trapped inside the magic mirror who tells stinky Pete's wants disappointment banned, a vacation for him does the trick) helps Rattigan, gather all the centuries' worth of Disney villains for breakfast (which BTW the fact that they discuss their evil plans over breakfast is hilarious to me) to discuss the plans to steal the diamond for themselves. The plan is to have Gaston marry Belle and, on their wedding day, have Honest John and Horace drug Maurice with chloroform to steal the diamond. Part of this plan also involves Ratcliffe, the Coachman, and Cruella paying Monsieur D'Arque to make sure the native people don't interfere with their plans. Meanwhile, all Yzma can focus on is if the restaurant they're at serves anything not swimming in gravy, as it turns out, all this was happening on the Queen of Heart's unbirthday but when she blew out her candle the cake exploded leaving only Rourke alive to lay the framework for a sequel.
Andrea Pannocchia I have been searching for footage of this game for years. I’m so glad you put this up! I could not remember the name of this game for the life of me!
I remember seeing the trailer for this game on a VHS of an old Disney movie (I don’t remember which one) and the part that always stuck with me was the voice at the end saying “without you, there will be no happy endings”
I LOVED this game as a kid; when I got to the villains at the end? I would save the Queen of Hearts for last, so when she waved her white flag it symbolized all their surrender. 😉 My fave segment was deflecting the cannons back at Hook. It took me forever as a kid to learn how to fence with him. Also I loved the Seven Dwarves game you get to play after beating the villains.
Thank you for uploading this!!! I wanted this game so badly as a kid but I wasn't able to afford it at the time, and I never had the chance to play it. I remember being so intrigued by the cover and concept of the game. And from the looks of this I would've loved it!
I randomly remembered about this game today, it was a favorite as a kid even though I never got a chance to beat it lol. I’m seriously contemplating buying this game on eBay because I want to play it so bad 😂
A friend of mine in middle school had this game, and I remember enjoying watching her play it (as well as play some of it myself...forgot whether I played the whole thing or not though). I love the concept of this, that you can visit all the different Disney worlds/movies and hang out with Jiminy. I also *really* love that bedroom! Jiminy is one of my favorite characters because of his flaws, even though he's a conscience he isn't perfect. It's an important lesson to learn, that you don't have to be perfect to be a good person. Plus at least Jiminy knows the important things, like school is more likely to give you success and happiness in the long run than performing is (there are unpleasant stories about child actors after all...) and that you should always be there for your friends (even when he got mad at Pinocchio on Pleasure Island he was instantly willing to rush over to save him upon finding out how much danger he was in).
So it bothers me that this all started because that damn cricket just wanted to rip pages out of a book. He “claims” it’s so you can guess which story to put the happy endings back into. Kind of like a game, he says. Only to tell you in great detail which page goes to which story less than a minute later.
I miss playing this game! I remember stupid me was having a hard time with the potions one. Maybe it was partly because it was my favorite and I wanted to stall but also for some reason, I thought the point was to create the true love potion but I couldn't figure out why I couldn't make it. I didn't realize we had to go through the process of creating each ingredient like create the flash of lightning and turn the green apples red and stuff. Also, wasn't the circus guy from Dumbo not technically a villain? Maybe it would've been better if instead of Dumbo, they did The Little Mermaid or Hunchback of Notre Dam.
When I saw the cover for this game, I had no idea what it was all about. As far as I can tell though, its assortment of villains leans on the random side of things. Everyone can instantly recognize Peter Pan and Captain Hook. But the Queen of Hearts, the Ringmaster, and the Evil Queen are on the lesser side of iconic in the Villains pantheon. Dumbo didn’t have a single true antagonist, although the other elephants were far from innocent. Jiminy Cricket and the Blue Fairy on here, so how could Pinocchio not be represented?
I remember playing this game as a kid and getting scared by it and the last few years I couldn't find this game and tought I made it up or something. I really mis this game.
I harbor a grudge against this game because (on top of it being scary beyond all reason from start to finish) the Alice section was totally unplayable without headphones / stereo speakers. You can’t tell where her voice is coming from. As a kid I didn’t even know what was *supposed* to be happening. 😑 Minigames are fire though 😆
When I first played this game I was afraid of the whole snow white deal but now looking at it as an adult man what kind of design were thinking back then
It’s extremely odd for the ringmaster from Dumbo to be here, was he really a villain in the movie? The worst thing he did was imprision Dumbos mother, but from his point of view on that scene he was trying stop a mad elephant from hurting anyone. Sure he also made Dumbo into a clown but he only did that after Dumbo (granted accidentally) destroyed the circus tent when he tripped at the climax and injuring everyone. Regardless he was hardly I call a villain, hell the butler Edgar from Arisotcats was more of a villain then he ever was.
Bunny Speed Matriarch with Chatty, Prissy, and Giddy/Giggles. Matriarch was voiced by Verna Felton who also voiced Flora, Fairy Godmother, Queen of Hearts, Aunt Sarah, and Winifred.
@Katie Lewis I want to say I feel like this game might’ve been put into production before any of the other villains’ movies were released but since this game was apparently released in 1999 that’d mean they were working on this game for 46 years which doesn’t seem right in the slightest, and heck even then they had the pretty solid option in Lady Tramaine from Cinderella.
i swear to god my friend told me about this game when we were like 9, and i remember the premise disturbed and intrigued me so much that it stayed with me all these years.
1:54 Me: no, BUT! Have you ever heard of ever after high? Jiminy cricket: no, Well mean I did hear something about that from the former & latter stories Brooke page: (gasps, faints) Jiminy: (worried) oops Brooke page: GOT YA (laughs) sorry, page is my name Brooke page. Now hold on to your hats Mr cricket for one hexciting ride (disappears) Jiminy (falls through a pink portal) WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH (In ever after high jiminy lands in Cupid’s love rose bush) Jiminy: (splutters) Plegh (coughs up & groans shaking his head) boy Stripey: I wonder if all cardboard tastes as horrible as this Jiminy: well don’t mind me Stripy I, Hey, what is this place? (looks around, they are in the ever after high welcome sign garden)
Rhys Frake-Waterfield is the real villain! He wants to turn all Disney heroes into monsters like he did Winnie the Pooh! Don’t get him get away with this!

I laughed my ass off the first time I saw old peterpan
my sister and I played this all the time when we were younger. Ah, memories.
i absoultly love this game as a kid^^ especially the potion-game^^
When I first played this game I was afraid of the whole snow white deal but now looking at it as an adult man what kind of design were thinking back then
I just realized that the Evil Queen is the only villain in this game that is not wearing red.
"imprison Dumbos Mother" there u go idiot lel
@@linksgruenversifft2133 Technically, he only did that because he had no choice.
I think the real villain's from Dumbo are the elephant-bitch's who were so cruel to him.
I don’t get why the ringmaster was a villain in this. He wasn’t a villain in the movie.
I remember back november 1999 for demo that game Disney's villains revenge from toy storys 2 PC clear disc from cereal box.
i swear to god my friend told me about this game when we were like 9, and i remember the premise disturbed and intrigued me so much that it stayed with me all these years.
I used to love playing this game

I LOVED THIS GAME
Rhys Frake-Waterfield is the real villain! He wants to turn all Disney heroes into monsters like he did Winnie the Pooh! Don’t get him get away with this!
That room turned into a battlefield!
Jiminy, that's a terrible idea!
This game was scary to me when I was a kid
this is great i love the old 90's games :)
I remember playing this game. The Ringmaster wasn't even a full fledged villain.
I'm not afraid of these Disney's Villains since I was 10.
imagine if they made this into a disney plus show
