Technically it was confirmed in 2021 from a writer who worked on eqg that there were plans for a final for the franchise that had Human Sunset involved, but as we know it never happened after G4's ending in 2019. Still, I for one do feel like the human Sunset would be similar to the one we know, but with a few slight changes.
Yeah, this would have been the Season 2 finale. I'd like Hasbro to share it with IDW to turn it into a miniseries or even a graphic novel. Nick Confalone, writer and story editor on Equestria Girls, tweeted about it a few years ago.
There is also another character that I find curious and that is Sinch, the director of the Crystal school. I believe that she has a variant in Equestria that is an alicorn of Skyros, because in the alicorn book that Misty found, on the cover there was a photo of Celestia and another alicorn that looks like Sinch. I even believe that she is Opaline's mother.
Why not both..? Empathy & Forgiveness. Also, though it's unlikely and might not be possible, it wouldn't be fun if a hypothetical Human Sunset actually somehow crossed time & space into the next MLP Gen. She could perhaps suddenly pop up randomly as a (rather confused) character now as a Pony in Equestria in the future and has to adapt to her new life, with a (possibly futile) mission to go home to her own world and time... not a villain but starting off as good, but starts becoming more antagonistic and misunderstood, as the plot unfolds, before becoming her good self again by the and of her arc, or something like that..?
I never really cared about this question, to be honest. Lots of ponies don't have human counterparts, and vice versa. I just assumed that either Sunset doesn't have a human version, or her human version lives in a different place entirely and isn't important to the story. You know, it's possible that the pony Starswirl and the human Starswirl are also the same person. We know the pony version knew about the human world, since he banished the sirens there, and the human version is like their version of Galileo or Newton, who lived centuries ago, so it's possible that it's just the same Starswirl travelling between worlds while doing research. The only trouble is that he would have to spend a long time on each world, since the portal doesn't open often. Unless he found a way to open the portal at will (like Twilight did) and never told anyone.
In one of the comics (I don’t remember what but it had celestia and Luna young) celestia also knew about the portal and went through it with star swirl, and they went back and forth a lot. There’s a lot to the story, I would recommend hoopla to find it, but the point of this is that they both knew about the other world, but there were LOTS OF MIRRORS AND LOTS OR PORTALS in the comic.

Sunset represents[ Harmony] thus ☯️ she is made to bring balance and only discovered her destiny by taming her emotions and growing how to be in Harmony . I believe thats why she is good to be a twilight type of leader in EGs. So this theory makes more sense. I don't need a double of sunset the character is perfection as it is.

Well most likely there would be a similar situation to Twilight where human Sunset lives in the big city because that’s what corresponds to Canterlot while pony Sunset was deposited in Canterlot High which corresponds to Ponyville. Alternatively she’s actually an adult and has a job somewhere she never runs into the others. One thing I’ve always wondered is what the time flow difference is between the two worlds. It’s stated in the first movie Sunset was Celestia’s student before she took on Twilight. We also know Twilight got taken on as Celestia’s student just after she got her cutie mark because Celestia recognized it as the third symbol on the tree of Harmony. Meaning by all rights Pony Sunset should be a lot older than she is, perhaps corresponding to a 25-40 year old human instead of a teen. Then again that goes back to the question of what pony lifespans are, whether ponies in Equestria are the same as ponies IRL and grow from birth to adulthood in 1-2 years, meaning Sunset has been banished for at most 2 years and aged relatively little as a human while Twilight has aged significantly. It’s also possible Celestia had adopted Sunset because her sun cutie mark had made Celestia believe Sunset could be groomed into assuming the role of controlling the sun and moon, allowing Celestia to give up her position as an immortal Alicorn and unalive herself to get away from the pain of knowing she’d had to banish her only sister. This plan changed when she saw Twilight’s cutie mark and realized Twilight could be destined to save Luna, but forced her to make other plans for Sunset. But I also like the idea of Sunset being unique to Ponyland and the reason she could be banished to the human world being that the character didn’t have a counterpart. To me it would make more sense if the final movie was about them going to Equestria to try to figure out a way to stop Equestrian magic from leaking into the human world, since it seems to be causing problems with characters gaining powers and going a little crazy.
I think that if Sci Twi was obsessed with finding out more about magic, then human Sunset would've been obsessed with revenge on her pony counterpart for stealing and living her life

That the cracked at the portal is slowly breaking more and in order to seal it up, the Rainbooms must sacrifice their geodes (just like how the Mane 6 did with the elements of harmony in the season 4 finale, Princess Twilight Sparkle). There would also be another sacrifice, where someone needs to focus all that energy and magic. That someone is Sunset Shimmer. She manage to sealed the cracks, but with a price. It turned her into a statue. We then get a memorial service at the school, where each of her friends say that Sunset might've started as aggressive and a bully, but at the end, she became a true hero. We would also see both Princess Twilight and Starlight at the memorial service as well, and they'll try their best to find a way to bring her back. The final scene would be with Sunset's statue with a writing on the side that says " Friend, Hero, and the 7th Element of Forgiveness "

Sci-Twi and Sunset in Equestria, Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy in G1, and Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash in G3. We also get to see Sunset meeting Sunny Starscout from G5. In the end after seeing what she has done, Human Sunset apologies for her awful mistakes, in conclusion Pony Sunset would send her to Equestria to learn about Friendship to give her a new home, she remains in the human realm.
I actually read something about the other sunset shimmer the human version of her ! It was meant to be released in the show but they didn’t because it got cancelled for reasons. If you want to read it on google in a story called (Sunset on the Horizon) Which basically explains so much about the second sunset shimmer but Im not sure if that story is true or not but if u would like to read go check it out !😊💛💛I hope this helps for some people😊

I'm not entirely sure that Chrysalis is unique to the human world, because, she in fact shares some similarities with principal Cinch. She is manipulative, arrogant and self centered. She has different color scheme. But given how colourful, the Changlings become, after their reformation. We can't say, she wouldn't look like that. One other similarities are her earings, whitch remind me of the crown like thing, on Chrysaliss head.

i think the problem with the mirror version of a pony is not a guaranteed occurence.The problem with paralel universes dynamic, even the insignificant changes can make the overall end different. i do belive the human sunset simply dont exist because the woud be parents simply never met or fallen in love with each other therefore human sunset never born in the human world at all. the overall missing of human sunset in the grand sceme of things changed nothing. even if there was a human version of her it woudnt changed the outcome of the whole story. Again A and B point are fixed. by magic and by destiny. (in the poniverse) The existence of human sunset only made the road between A and B different in some way but not changed anything important.

i think the problem with the mirror version of a pony is not a guaranteed occurence.The problem with paralel universes dynamic, even the insignificant changes can make the overall end different. i do belive the human sunset simply dont exist because the woud be parents simply never met or fallen in love with each other therefore human sunset never born in the human world at all. the overall missing of human sunset in the grand sceme of things changed nothing. even if there was a human version of her it woudnt changed the outcome of the whole story. Again A and B point are fixed. by magic and by destiny. (in the poniverse) The existence of human sunset only made the road between A and B different in some way but not changed anything important.

i personaly would make the other sunset shimmer a trans guy so it's easier to see the difference and that can also serve the reason why no one suspected pony sunset shimmer to be a doubleganger , and i would probably make him to main antagonist of the equesteria girls final movie.
