Sending regards from Canada. Ain't never gonna install flex fuel kit on mine cuz the closest gas station offers E85 probably involves a 500+km drive and crossing the US border lol. But good to see you're having more and more installation videos about your built! Can't wait!
I have a question on this kit. EVERY COBB kit I come across says it’s for 08-14 WRX and 15-21 STI WILL THIS WORK ON MY 17 WRX???

Roughly 300whp maybe a little less I'm just on maperformance stage 2 93oct. OTS tune .
How did you get the oil temp on the AP?

Doing some research before the install would have revealed that you needed a tune.
Did you upgrade your pump or injector size, or just the flex fuel kit? And if so to what size injectors?
Couldnt you have just unplugged the tgv part of the flex fuel kit and put the tgv plug back to how it was originally? That way you could leave everything else installed? Not try to bash or anything, just curious. Also, thank you. This is the only install where someone actually shows where the tgv connection is. Great content, love the car, cant wait for flex fuel on mine!!
No better tuner then Ron Watson . Phatbotti tuning. Trust me you won’t regret it. If youre looking for reliability and performance he’s your guy.

This one had me on the edge of my seat. You’re nutty man! I was literally screaming at my phone like “that’s because you need a TUNE!” Lol good video though. Nice ride. I’m over here doing the same shit on the day to day. If you haven’t done any mounts yet, trans mount and pitch stop have been some of my favorite installs so far. Love the final product. My motor mounts aren’t in yet though I felt like crying trying to put those in 😂

Well I’m About to do my install this morning. A bit nervous especially watching the end of the video. I was told you can run it without a tune until you get a tune, just don’t do e60 yet. But I did my tgv deletes so maybe the outcome will come out differently. Love the videos man. Hopefully I’ll get my car good looking like yours one day

hmmm strange I installed the flex fuel kit when I first got it just to be ahead of the game just like you planned to do and ran 91 with the kit installed all the way up until I got tuned for the e60 and had no issues . Idk why it would require a tune if you aren't running e85 because if you are running just regular 91 it just passes through and functions like the regular lines and only becomes active when you start using more ethanol and your tuner tunes for it but then again I didn't have TGV's so idk

Agreed. Plenty cars use a flex kit without flex fuel purely for fuel monitoring.
I believe the check engine light would be there rather if you have tgv's or not and you install the kit. Only way to get the check engine light off is to obviously flash it or get it tuned out.

If you're currently running a stage 2 tune, doesn't Cobb have a OTS stage 2 that includes their flex fuel kit? Download, reflash and you're good to go till you install the other parts and have your pro tune done.
It's too late now if they do as iv already uninstalled it. But thanks for the info

Why doesn't Cobb include the fuel pressure sensor like Delicious tuning flex fuel kit? I have my tune set to kill the ignition to save my motor with fuel pressure failure not eat my motor?
Do yourself a favor and return it and get the delicious tuning kit and save yourself from a heart attack. This has no pun intended sir.

Rods bend at around 400 hp. Keep that engine around 350whp.
My understanding is torque at low end is what kills the rods. Not high hp
Yeah its how the torque hits that bends the rods in the past year there have been many cars breaking the 400 mark without any issues
