I've been eyeing this Flex Fuel kit since Delicious Tuning finished it! I have the Deatschwerks DW300 Fuel Pump, now just need to order the Flex Fuel kit. Currently running MAP Stage 1 91 Octane 👍🏼
I ordered a accessport and yalls big sf intake. But was disappointed when I didn't get a mapperformance sticker for my car. Would really like to get a flex fuel kit. Hopefully I get a sticker when I order one from yall
I just got the cobb kit with my protune. E85 is no joke, but i'm disappointed I can't run it full time. I hope an aftermarket HPFP comes out, or more robust internals that can handle E85.
I've been thinking about modifying any gasoline motorcycle I would own, to not only be ok with gasoline, but also moonshine. I've been thinking about making my own fuel, because I don't want to be dependent on gas stations & foreign oil, and I'm very mad at the oil industry, fucking up nature, or people's livelihoods directly, when just getting oil. I'm excited about buying or building a full electric motorcycle, but I want it to have high performance & range, meaning it will be expensive. So it's better, for now, for me to invest in internal combustion. And I'm still excited about turbocharging any engine I would own. I'm also excited about turbocharging, because I recently learned, from the car passion channel, about 2step & 3step, flatfoot shifting. A motorcycle's quickshifter, that disables fuel & spark, will be just like a car flatfoot shifting, keeping the throttle open between up shifts, boost recovers instantly. I will only need a Blow Off Valve, when I'm slowing down or stopping. So what do you think about running any gas engine on a mixture of (hopefully) pure alcohol, and SeaFoam addictive, to deal with any moisture, keep the engine clean, and maybe lubricate like gasoline, which I don't understand as an issue. What lubrication property does gasoline have? Motor oil & oil rings aren't good enough? Do the valve seats need lubrication? I don't understand. So E85 is 85% alcohol, and the rest is gasoline, for lubrication, but lubricate WHAT? Why not pure alcohol? Can this kit be adapted to something else? How does it handle pure alcohol? Anyway, I'm new to flexfuel, and looking into it now. This is one of the first videos I've watched about it.
...so does any COBB or MAP map work with this kit? The Cobb Flex Fuel kit is not plug and play with OTS maps, does this have that ability? Why should or would someone select this over the Cobb FFK? I'm really intrigued with this. Has anyone used this long term?
Thanks for the video. I looked up the kit on your website. It looks like there is an ECU option that needs to be selected. Based on this, I assume it requires that I have a COBB for instance and that this is not a standalone kit. Is that correct? What other requirements are there for a system like this? Any changes to things like injectors and such? I have a 2015 WRX that is bone stock at the moment if that matters. Thanks again! I also love that you are local. I am originally from Cottage Grove and still drive through there everyday on my commute.
Nick Comp I second that. I'd be a lot more concerned about the sensor failing then the pump. Correct me if I'm wrong but if the pump fails it'll be like running out of gas. Which is not good but not as scary as the sensor failing and thinking it's pumping 70% e85 when it's actually pumping 30% e85
rc2300s2r It might be similar to running out of gas. I'm not sure. Probably worse. AFR will go lean. Could be catastrophic which is why it will put you in limp mode to stop damage. But if the sensor fails i would think it would have to default to the most conservative version of the map. Either 93 or 91 to prevent it from being too aggressive for what's actually in the tank.
Nick Comp right. I was just thinking since the rev limiter is a fuel cut system the pump failing would be close to the same. Like he said it does go into limp mode though which is good. Just like you I want to know how the system handles a sensor failure. I would assume a limp mode as well just want to know for sure.
My thoughy exactly. My kit looks the same when it comes to the sensor and connection to the maf connector. I'm interested to know if I have the mk1+ or the mk2. I know mk2 can be used for non delicious tuning maps but the mk1+ can not as it doesn't support cobb custom features.
The Cobb kit displays your information on the Accessport instead of your phone. Only the Delicious Tuning kit will detect a drop in fuel pressure, and will trigger a CEL and put the car into a limp mode.
Anyone else drooling over that sweet XJ in the background?
Thats Kurt! He just might have an employee spotlight coming soon :]
Thats me! lol. @kurt_map on ig.
geez... never thought technology would be capable of something like this; impressive!

Awesome! Stay tuned Justin, we should have this out shortly!
Fantastic video guys, im just found the channel and enjoy watching! Well done WRX looks good
Glad to have you here!! Welcome!
NinjaxBart ur cool dude and ur white wrx

Just ask and we will make sure you get one!
Can i Run this set up with out upgrading my fuel pump?
can't wait to see numbers!
Nice... Much better than Quick Fuel test kit every time you fill up..👍
say delicious tuning one more time
Seven years later and you genuinely made me lol 😂

i only see this kit for the brz on his website is that the same one?
So you just need the Cobb kit to run e85 on a 2015 wrx? Nothing else....
You will need the kit and the Accessport plus a protune!
You'll need to do a mix like e30 though
Wish you guys were in California : (
The company that developed this kit is :)
Kevin Goudswaard They are in Temecula. Called them a few days ago.
great will share on blogs
so do you run a 93 map and let the delicious tuning box calibrate for ethanol or do you need to run a 85 map?
They are actually developing a complete tune for both pump gas and ethanol.
+Ian Peterson that is awesome.. I would definitely get this for my '17 wrx daily driver

Yes it does require the Accessport, BUT no other mods are needed! Even works on a stock car. Stop by the shop and say hello sometime!
Are there any supporting mods you would suggest to go along with this kit? Or are you guys just bolting this on a straight stock WRX?
No supporting mods needed besides an Accessport! We bolted ours onto our Stage 2, which you can see in our latest video.
Does this require any supporting mods other than the Access Port?
You mentioned if the pump fails... what if the ethanol sensor fails?
Nick Comp
I second that. I'd be a lot more concerned about the sensor failing then the pump.

Nice .i love it, i going get one .
Are you running the MK2 kit that's compatible with the V3 AP?
My thoughy exactly. My kit looks the same when it comes to the sensor and connection to the maf connector. I'm interested to know if I have the mk1+ or the mk2. I know mk2 can be used for non delicious tuning maps but the mk1+ can not as it doesn't support cobb custom features.
when you purchase this kit does it come with a tune or do you have to purchase a tune from delicious also thanks in advance
Both Stage 1 and our Stage 2 come with the tune!
So do these kits and the car require upgraded injectors and fuel pump to run e85?
No they do not.
Is it bad if e85 mix with 91pump not too many 93 pump around my area ? Just curious
no its just like 93
Are you running y'alls top mount woth the factory charge pipe?
Our TMIC works with the factory charge pipe, yes!
Are you still running this flex fuel kit? Home come i cant find this kit on maperformance.com?
We no longer carry this kit unfortunately - we do have the Cobb kit as well.
Do you need to get bigger injectors or a aftermarket fuel pump to run this?
No you do not!
Who can tune this kit? Is it only Delicious based tuners or what?
The kit includes E-Tuning from Delicious!
so if you got a cobb you can now run e85 with this?
Yes sir!
Does this work on the 2012 WRX ??
This particular product would not, but we do offer a kit for '08+ WRX/STI! Check it out: goo.gl/xZLWQ7
would this work on a 16 Forester xt?
It should, we are not certain about support for that ECU yet. Stay tuned! We will release more on this as it comes to production.
Will this fit my Honda
Will I need any maps for this?
Does the cobb kit sense hpfp failure? does cobb have blue tooth?
The Cobb kit displays your information on the Accessport instead of your phone. Only the Delicious Tuning kit will detect a drop in fuel pressure, and will trigger a CEL and put the car into a limp mode.
Do you not run a box over your air filter?
Great video guys, I always enjoy watching. As usual fun and informative, looking forward to your future videos. Keep it up!
Glad to hear it!! More to come.
I'm dying to see dyno results!!!!
Releasing a new video later today!!
