Batten above is stopped way short
There’s always one.
Why’s it matter when it’s cut to the valley tray? It ain’t going no where is it
Very nice.
Thank you
That tight and its a bugger to clean. And if it gets bunged up with moss the valley will reduce in its eficiency. Much prefer seeing a gap down the valley.
On a closed valley it’s meant to be tight🤦🏼♂️ check the manufacturers installation instructions, you’ll see
@@jhenson3953 I understand that. But as those who go back to maintain it can cause so many hidden problems. The build up of dirt washed off the roof isn’t seen. It may take that little bit longer say than an open. But to think it doesn’t happen would be a mistake.
Very nice.. I like tat 👍👌
Thank you 😊
Sweet.
Thanks!
Good workmanship
Thank you
I like that! Fair play
Why are all the battens not cut into valley
Doesn't need it. I'd usually batten butt up to the valley. Seen other roofers go on top of the valley which u shouldn't do. Some roofer do it like him which is fine 🙂
Batton to short to nail next tile
Nice job....
Mantap👍👍👷👷👷👷👷
Thanks 👍🏻

Labor intense process. It looks like it'll last a while tho. Fine piece of W.
Thanks 🙏
You make a template tile with the nibs missing. Lay it where it needs to be. Mark the side of the template tile where the top of the one next to it is. Then lay your template on a new tile. Mark the angle . Cut . And place down.
Ta da
Same for dormer sides😊
BDR
What dose BDR stand for ?
What measurement are you using when marking the tile from centre of valley?
4 and 1/4
@@jigsawkillersame as the gauge?
@@raybans8712 thanks for telling me you're not smart.
@jigsawkiller sorry I'm new to the trades is it half the width of the tile ?
@@jigsawkillerpretentious champ
You are 2/8 of an inch It does not lineup with the other tiles
Iv got another video of the valley complete. Nothing wrong with it mate
@Revski I'm roofer too lol 😆 😂
@@mattydeathgoon nice .
@@mattydeathgoon you should have said 1/4 not 2/8
You mean 1/4? Lol
i want to work with you
Haha a just watched this vid from a different angle and thought be easier to cut it back swap it over, after seeing what you did there a think that works 🤘
Iv tried all methods, this for me is the best way if you have a mini grinder 👌🏻
@@revski1979 what's your take on pinging line up the whole valley 1 tile width from centre of valley? Cutting the whole thing in one hit then pulling cuts out and slotting them in with a tile?
@@Reddwarf1994 that’s how I used to do it mate . That method works just as good 👍🏻👍🏻
@@revski1979 good to know mate. Only problem I find with that is when using big tiles and I've got a valley very close to a hip which isn't wide enough to ping a tile width back.
@@Reddwarf1994 yes mate I know what you mean . If using a dry valley you can do the same method as I’m doing in the video. It works with all tiles 👌🏻
I've been wanting to leave the states just to roof in the UK to learn y'alls system of roofing
We the best in the world
Plenty of cowboys over here bud, that's why we say they work up high so no one can see the roughness. Sad but true
Mis respetos al. Rufero. Difícil. Techó.
I want to work with you ready of any complexity
The laughing has to go vertical and then horizontal we're lacking one more step there
At least our man is using a peck hammer!
Only need a slate hammer when your using natural slate
Well done mate
Thanks 🙏
We used to frame in the pattern so the peg tiles could be nailed off twice up the valleys and hips, how things have changed, cutting corners, you wanna do a old school roofer against a new aged roofer lol
No wonder a strong wind rips them off . More bloody nails , and an attachment at the other end. More holes to put the nails in.
These tiles will stay on for decades. Once the roof is finished the whole thing pintches together. We've got buildings in England that are hundreds of years old and are still keeping water out with old peg tiles and wooden pegs. We have buildings older than America.
Tell me you dont know what youre talking about without directly telling me 🤣
@@kingofracism Vlolent winds need strong forces to resist them.
@@pholdway5801 we don't get violent winds here. We have mild weather all year round and no extreme environmental issues such as earthquakes, tornados.. stick to what you know
@@kingofracism If YOU don't get violent winds then my helpfully intended advice was not needed by You Others however are at Liberty to make use of it.
That’s the only real work his doing All day 😂 black hat ha women ☕️ 😂😂😂 you know he’s on betfred and checking the football the other 7:45 of the day
😂😂
What's the valley made from?
GRP valley mate
Grp I know the guy who invented them and has the patent
It clearly wasn't the right angle.
So was 👍🏻
Щя налетят ,, нельззяя балгаркой резать ,,
Oh they also lift in strong winds nailed once up the valleys
No gaurd on grinder dirty hands no gloves
I saw a quide.
Work smart not ard.
У нас в России так не парятся. Делают сразу один лист из метала или шиферину. После чего ее настилают.
Sounds good mate 👍🏻
Красота требует жертв
Need to see this method! Sounds like it'll leak

All that cutting dust left on membrane which must stay clean for function and also did not touch tiles. This roof is definitely badly done.
The top side must stay clean? Isn't the membrane already done. Please explain.
Real roofers use nibblers! Not impressed
