The Russian Roulette lyric you were talking about… he talked about it on a livestream recently and it’s a reference to career suicide by taking a step in a different direction. Pitchfork once gave a pretty disliking review of an album and posted a link to a monkey pissing into its own mouth. He’s afraid that if he takes his career in a different direction he’ll commit career suicide, and get a review like a monkey pissing into a cup
@@Stormy01that would indeed be why they worded it saying “… disliking review of an album…” An album. An. Entirely broad and ambiguous phrase, not referencing porter at all.
if u rly liked the distorted guitars on mona lisa u should check out softscars by yeule ! it's also quite rock/indie but blends electronic and distortion very beautifully.
BROTHER I FEEL SO SEEN. Easier to love me absolutely blindsided me on first listen. I instantly fell in love and it’s easily my favourite on the project 🙂↕️🙌🙌
i LOVED this album. A really pleasent, glitchy but also feely album that absolutely hits my sweet spot. Is there really no happiness? is by far my fav from the album and i am so excited to see him live when he comes to germany :D 10/10 from me
This album is like if early Taylor Swift collaborated with MGMT and some video game producer. I overall really enjoyed the album! Also, the Mona Lisa disrespect is crazy. 8.5/10 for the album.
Cheerleader really set my expectations too high for this album. I really like 'Easier to Love You' and 'Is There Really No Happiness?' and 'Russian Roulette', but other than that the other song are just alright in my opinion. Except for 'Kitsune Maison Freestyle' which I really dislike.
Hahaha yeah, I got my hair cut like a month ago but they cut it waaaaay too short. I’m happy with it now though. It’s the same as before just more tidy and less in my face so you can actually see me 😂
@@bluemo7253 LOL what ? This is one of his best tracks in awhile dude. What are you talking about. Go to TKC stream when they did the reaction. 9.75 out of 10 rating.
@@bluemo7253 I see your point bro. In my opinion, he might not be a modern pop/edm Mozart or Beethoven but as far as I can say, he was THE guy in the scene. His older stuff, spitfire, language and all of that for sure influenced the industry and by a lot at that. He's nothing exceptional in my opinion as well but it's just hard to deny the impact that this dude has had on whatever style he attempted lmao. Language was a banger, he worked on clarity with zedd too if I remember. Worlds was pretty good, nurture was completely opposite of what everyone was used to from him but it was good as well, worked out good for him. Now he uses his creative liberty to take a turn once again and make a radio pop album which is not the best thing I've heard this year, but still impressive. Guess it just doesn't do justice to a name as big as Porter Robinson, from whom you might expect something WAY more over the top than the laid back and chill tracks on this album. I don't fw it or a few of his other tracks but dude deserves the praise for sure.
@@definitelynotjeffbezos4324 Totally fair he deserves praise but I don’t really care for him in particular. But then again I like alan walker’s and zedd’s style more.

Since you like Is There Really No Happiness, check out James Ivy; he helped produce the track and has amazing music himself
WE SO BACK!
Grabbitz released a cover of Cheerleader, and it's really good too.
I’ll have to check that out tbf

He back 🔥
Russian Roulette is my favorite though lol, Cheerleader is amazing too
Cheerleader was by far my favorite
will there be no Kygo Album Reaction? 😅 love these album reactions 👍
You're looking healthy buddy, lost a chunk of weight.
Thank you! Working on it haha 💙
The only two songs I had on repeat was Mona Lisa and Is there really no happiness
SAAAAAME
Can’t wait for Tyler Jayy’s second album to come out! Hopefully in the future!😂😂😂😂😂
Working on it!
@@InskoMusic Thanks for heading up!

I have the exact same opinion as yours, I really don’t get the meaning of Kitsune Maison and the monologue felt extremely awkward
I don't think there's a single song on the album I don't like. Kitsune Maison is prob one of my higher faves
Yeeeeee 💚💚
PLEASE LISTEN TO NURTURE
If i already released a song on spotify independently can it get signed by a record label in the future???
Unfortunately not

Nurko evergreen ???????? !!!
Evergreen isn’t that great nurko has done way better

Evergreen just needed an outro. Only thing stopping it from being a 10 in my eyes.
@@Larizza235 nah, evergreen is mid

Agreed
This album in particular fs
@@definitelynotjeffbezos4324 His music in general imo is mid. I’ve never really liked him compared to artists Insko listens to regularly.
