If you prefer a more suburban environment to live in, then the Asian side will be a better choice. I grew up on the Asian side and would not trade it for the European side, you can always go into the European side for a night out or day trip at any time. The bottom line is, you're not going to find too many other places to live in the world with this amount of historical and cultural richness. I love Turkiye, Cifte Havuzlar!!!
This show is making me a fan of Cameron and Allattin. Job well done 👍 I came to the same conclusion after my research so it is good to see that you have provided more facts and enforced it. Thanks
I love this show. Just discovered it. The information help a lot! It's so true what you say about the Asian and Europe side and how it is seen by foreigners.
Superb talk guys, informative!! Thanks from Brazil. Please do an episode on future metro lines projects, especially from Beylikduzu and IST-SAW fast rail, and another episode on the likely consequences of Kanal Istanbul?
Great effort and excellent suggestions...........Thanks for sharing it with us, as always we enjoyed watching, hope your all keeping well & having a nice day 👍🤩.
Wow, again, I need to sweep for bug devices lol. You keep doing topics that I have dealt with. I was just on the Asian side looking for a temporary rental while we shop for a permanent home. My fiancee's family lives on the Asian side and since she lives on the European side, we rented me a flat for the last year near here. I just spent almost a week on the Asian side and is is way more relaxed I felt. Although I knew that already having spent a day there when I first got here. Keep up the videos, they are useful.
Who are the haters not liking this video!!! Thank you for sharing once again, Allattin & Cameron I thoroughly enjoy your videos and the content...you guys are just too good Masha’Allah. I can’t wait to move to Turkey and call Istanbul my home, my city ❤️
With every video you publish, you raise the bar with your authentic and unbiased information. We keep telling our friends and family the same but most people are truly ignorant about this. Thank you for clarifying this myth. Respect
Spent three out of 5 months on the Asian side of Istanbul last year and would've made 5 out of 5 months had I discovered the area sooner. You are so right in this wrong perception of 'the other side of town' that foreigners have about the Asian side and many just do the touristy things on the European side- which are also beautiful but don't stay long enough to hop over the Bosphorous. Yet it is such a treat for the few who do manage to find all the treasures of the city.
It's a good video as a relative kept saying the Asian side is much better, cleaner, modern, safer, etc which confused me as most talk about the European side and the Asian side seems cheaper. Also, Cameron please increase Aladin's salary so he can buy some socks. If you want we can start a GoFund Me page.
Perhaps you could do a video on where to find the best value on the Asian side for $250k. Is there an equivalent to Zekeriyakoy or Kemerburgaz? People interested in the citizenship by investment program might like to know where the best value can be found.
I shouldn't say this - because I don't want everyone to know, but Uskudar, and especially Kuzguncuk (Asian-side) are not only really lovely places - Kuzguncuk is absolutely GORGEOUS!
Okay. Asian side is better in crime rate, standard of living etc etc , I get it. Does it also provide more ROI as well? Lets assume if I have 200K, where should I buy property/apartment for 5 yr turn around. Where would I get more for my investment?
Istanbul is a Eurasian City in a Eurasian Country (Turkey). From what I have seen, there are cultural elements of both Europe and Asia on both sides of the Bosphorous. Furthermore, if I am investing in Istanbul , I want to be in an area of the City that is greener, where the air is fresher and where the atmosphere is more relaxed, but not boring. For me, the Asian side is the perfect fit.
Well, there is definitely a lack of information because I am looking for a place in the asian side as an international student and it is very hard to find a place
I have another perspective about the bias of foreign investors towards the European Side of Istanbul. Because the Asian of Turkey is very close to the Middle East, I think that a lot of foreign investors fear that conditions on the Asian Side of Istanbul are like those in the Middle Eastern countries and the western media portrays a very negative view of the Middle East. Coupled of these, there is the fear that because Turkey is a majority Muslim country, these investors probably believe that there is an increased likelihood of terrorist activity on that side of Istanbul. Personally I do not have that fear and if I had the resources, I would go to Kadikoy.
As an Istanbul lover I can say that it's a fact, that only a few places are making the European side attractive, like the typical historical places (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand/Spice Bazaar etc.) and the nightlife area starting from Taksim and going through the Bosphorus line (Ortaköy, Kurucesme, Bebek etc.). After my Erasmus year in Istanbul, I realized that the Asian side is much better to live (safety, life costs) and fell in love with the Asian Bosphorus line starting from Beylerbeyi till Anadolu Hisarı - Love!
You solved this problem, I live on the European side, but we always wanted to live on the Asian side, especially in Kadıköy, we always go to the Asian continent with my friends to have fun. People on the Asian side are more modern in mentality, in short, the Asian continent is more European than the European continent😂
Love your videos from Spain! I would like one video of the two of you talking about real estate in Ankara. Particularly in the neighborhood of Cankaya. Keep up the good stuff!
I would like to see a program regarding how can an Australia Citizen or other Western countries Citizen can get PR and how can you slowly build your portal of property or businss while you are living in another country and then move to Turkey in 3 to 4 years time
l will definitely be buying a Villa in Istanbul during Q4 of this year, where would you recommend buying a Villa though on the Asian side? It seems to be predominately apartments, unless your budget is 2 million USD or more.
What the local Turks won’t understand that foreign investors r basically not looking for safer and cleaner aspects of Asian side but rather prefer more commercial and comparatively unsafe aspects of European side. Foreign investors don’t want to see turkey as their home. Asian side seems more residential then commercial.
Spot on. Ppl suffer from home country bias. Get them out of a home country they stick to tourism bias ie I went on holiday to x so I am familiar so it is the best. As a fortunate global citizen and investor I shook off this rubbish long ago. Good video few will heed.
The thing is Aladdin/ Cameron ..I am not seeing as good deals in the Asian side as I am seeing in Europe...price wise , the properties on the Asian side are mostly expensive High rises..and more of a lifestyle type of investment.
AoA this is a really good informative video. this helped me to plan where to buy a residence. I have been planning to get citizenship soon in the month of July or August. I will contact u soon. Saeed from Karachi, Pakistan.
Please don't delete and answer me too, 95% property brought by Turkish only around 5% is foreigner so why Most and large amout of Turkish buy in Europe side?
all the population of the European side is 3 times of the Asian side. So it's only natural that more properties are sold in the European side rather than the Asian side.
@@frankde58 it's because of Syrian refugee crisis, large number of syrian came to istanbul and the native population of istanbul hate them... if you don't look like syrian then you ok, no problem lol 😂😂

How much rent can you get for appartments on investment in percent on asian site?
But what if most of the interesting projects like Büyükyali or Taksim 360 are located in the European side?
I’ve recently visited both sides. The Asian side is more conservative mainly. The European side seemed more westernized in culture.
