This was such an interesting watch. I’ve lived in Turkey for almost a decade, especially in hot spots like Uskudar, Kadikoy, Atasehir (part of Kadikoy), and even Maltepe. All locations, despite being in the same city, offered a wholly different lifestyle and outlook on the city of Istanbul. There are myriad aspects to the cultures existing and contributing to Istanbul’s growth, and you can find cafes and businesses being passed down from generation to generation all the way back from the 17-18th century Turkey, and even further! History and it’s cultivation as well as its preservation is what makes that heart of Istanbul beat, and I think no matter where I lived, the locals of any area, wanted that preservation to persevere onward to coming generations, and that’s why most don’t like the idea of Istanbul losing touch with its rich past and becoming mercantilistic and washed up. That’s just my two cents. Turkish people love their history, culture, and whatever that came between or after. They will almost always lean towards the preservation of areas and heightening said preservations befitting their current lifestyle but never will they choose demolishing the characteristics that make Istanbul ISTANBUL. That’s like demolishing Rome, and it’s a big no.
I'm currently doing my stay here in Bomonti area and it's definitely a great area to invest in. Will be actively looking at properties these coming weeks, thanks for this information!
I don’t think I could ever buy a property in Turkey but I would really like to know more about renting there, particularly in Istanbul. Rent prices? What areas? Lease contracts etc. This would also be of interest to potential investors.
We will be making smaller episodes focusing on those areas but in the mean time For your further questions please send us an inquiry either at www.propertyturkey.com or via whatsapp at wa.me/905312732069
Agree on Bomonti but I see this video is 2 years old, so maybe the new buildings have already been built and sold…? It’s a nice place to be, I like artistic but cannot afford Cihangir or Beykoz.
I am sorry to ask this but are you guys talking dollars or Turkish Lira for these places? The prices you are saying in dollars are actually more in Turkish Lira rather than dollar! Unless I see differently
Every building has its own value. In the Beylikdüzü like you can find 3 bedrooms in Deniz Istanbul for 250K USD or higher, but just 1 kilometer away you can find 3 bedrooms apartment for 1 million TL easily. it is more about the quality, luxury, living standards, community, services and facilities for foreigners. so people prefer to buy in these areas where they can find their community and required facilities according to their needs.
Teşekkür ederım! Thıs is very informative! I love Istanbul, my grandmother was Turkish. We are in Arizona USA where we have our channel and are looking to make a move soon, so this is very interesting! 😃

Amazing video. You guys are awesome! I am surprised that the new Istanbul Channel was not discussed. Can you guys discuss it next time? What does that government initiative mean for real estate around the proposed Channel location?
Hey, thanks for the feedback. We had plans of discussing it but it is still somewhat debated whether or not it'll take place. So we are just taking our time to see what plays out instead of going out there and speculating.
you guys are overlooking izmir, izmir has outperformed istanbul in real estate price growth for the past 5 years and i belive the trend will go on for another 5 years at least, izmir is the most liberal place in turkey even istanbul is rather conservative compared to izmir,i belive that the best place to invest in izmir is mavişehir which is a place with malls and high rise apartments but whats distinct about mavişehir is that there is 3 malls at the center of the area and there isnt any commercial real estate anywhere else which makes the place super calm and mavişehir has no where to expand left there is a metro station that seperates mavişehir from çiğli and all the land is filled with real estate now there will be huge demand but not enough supply in the near future.i belive that the best place to invest in turkey is izmir, izmir has a unique european feel to it
Thanks for these informative videos, I have watched almost all episodes and decided to ask your opinion on buying a house in Istanbul)) so I’m leaving in bagdat street in rental apartment for the last 7 years and now I’m looking to buy a house to live in not long terms investment though… So I was searching houses in Europe side of Istanbul( because prices in Asian side is comsic and don’t want to live in maltepe or kartal since I have already lived there before) I cannot find anything suitable for my budget which is 50 thousand usa or maybe 70. 000 usa if I can get a loan! P;s Specially in Şişli but don’t know where a woman can leave in safety So , I would really appreciate your advice on this 🙏🏻
Simply put it’s not good for investment. Plus the prices are artificially high. Another concern in the old neighborhood such as Arnavutköy is the Iskan(habitation licence) problem. That’s why generally most foreigners focus on newly built complexes.
Which area you would recommend in a budget of 100000$, for people who are looking to buy a 2+1 property and take turkish citizenship and how safe would it be to live there as a single mom.
Hi guys. Once again great video with a load of information. You’re really making me impatient to get there and buy properties guys hahaha but please can you do a video about all the areas and approx current rental returns and future returns on what you expect for investors. I know depends on what you purchase and where, but it would be great to have an idea at least. Thanks ;)

150 thousand? Maybe in samandira or sultanbeyli, but those places are not as good as Beyoğlu or Kadiköy etc. So safe your money and buy a property in those good areas.
150 TL is too low for istanbul. But in some cities you can find one bedroom apsrtment for this price.Like konya or kayseria or even mersin on the coast. All are million people plus developed cities and prices one third of istanbul, but still 150 to 200 TL is possible one bedroom apartment in these cities
Foreigners prefer the European side because that’s where all the history and character is...The Asian side is no different than any other modern city, other than downtown Kadikoy....
The Turkish lira is going to loose more value , Turkish politics is at odds with its neighbors, Turkey will never become an EU member , just a favored trading partner, Istanbul is over rated as a place to live ..it is over crowded. Turkish street food is just a few ingredients rearranged , desserts are full of sugar .. for the uninitiated it will appear ‘amazing’ .
