Kirk Hammett is such a great person. You can just tell he overall is a good man, as a human being. Kirk shows emotion, and is such a huge piece of that band. You cannot ask for a better person to have in a band, and be amazing as he is to the fans. Unlike a lot of celebrities or musicians, out of all people, if you ran into Kirk Hammett on the street, he would take the time for you.

AGS 15 Well i just saw him last week in Austin, Tx. 5 minutes after last song was played. it's hard to hear, but Jason was commenting on what Lars told Playboy Magazine ...it looked like Jason didn't appreciate Lars saying that because it got back to family obviously. Think about it, you're a woman dating a member of Metallica and Lars tells an international publication that everyone in the band contracted some form of VD while on the road ...you think you're going to be calling your boyfriend in Metallica and be asking him, "So, when you got Dick Drip, was that before or after you met me? AND, thought you said you never had VD?" It looked to me like Jason was not happy Lars said that to Playboy and Lars was laughing because he didn't give two flip how his comments may have damaged Jason's personal life. .
The band was at a really low point here. They were on the brink of breaking up. Body language says it all. You can see Kirk sort of try and laugh, but you can tell he is concerned.
@@MrParkerman6 you damn problem in every comment you claim he broke up for a year!? You must be a teenager who doesn't know what happened to James back in the day.
The happiest I've ever seen Kirk was when he was in Driver School. I genuinely hope he breaks free of Metallica at some point and sets up a surf shop somewhere in the Caribbean where he can be surrounded by chill people who just want to surf, do a few bongs, and play reggae together.

I think a lot of James’ thing is that most people get wrong is yes, he’s got an ego - but he’s mostly trying to find out more about himself. There’s a lot he didn’t know of himself until the alcohol became a bad issue. That time in rehab was a reflecting period. Again, just my interpretation - nobody’s gotta agree.
Why everybody try to look for some reason to justify James shitty personality, he is a jerk, same goes with Lars, but at least Lars is sincere and doesn't hide who he really is.
Lars went from stressed out to laughing hysterically to being very open. This in itself was just as entertaining as the film. loved this behind the scenes of the behind the scenes segment. lol

It's so weird seeing James clean cut, clean shaven, really really short hair and talking about how he feels. It's so different from the "Year and a Half with Metallica" 1991 documentary with the Black Album where he's quiet, rough, long hair , bearded and doesn't give a shit.
This is the reason why I fell in love with the band. What I see is a bunch of brothers playing music and facing trails and tribulations together and you experience the glory, and energy of a great night and the downfalls of losing the people they love. It’s amazing
It's so cool to see them laugh at themselves, it's an out-of-body experience for them and it's exactly what they needed. It's real. It's a reality shot. And Kirk, as usual, is the first to laugh at himself and not being a big ego guy, a lot of guys wouldn't like to see themselves exposed doing dumb stuff, his immediate response is to laugh. Understand, they have the power to pull the plug at all times, it's their show and it"s their image, it's supposed to be highly sensitive. But I guess that's what makes Metallica great, as serious as they can get, and sometimes they get really pissed off and very sensitive about stuff, but they also know how to tone it down. They're just goofing around and joking, being silly, having fun. They know better.
