Fantastic. My next watch will either be the medium size version of yours or the new 36mm Explorer (when and if). Either way, I want the Reverso at some point, hopefully sooner than later.
Any watch nerd would instantly recognise the Reverso as a genuine JLC, no need to reed the logo. Good presentation, this will be exact the model for me, but with brown leather strap from Fagliano. Congratulations man:)
Thanks a lot! Woooh, Duo Face in the gym.. now that is some serious risk taking hah! I would be afraid of weights hitting the watch, or hitting the watch against the many metal things and such in a gym. But I bet it was probably still safer on your wrist than leaving it in a gym locker :-)
This is one of my favourite watches that I don't own, interesting what you say because I rarely wear a formal jacket and couldn't justify the purchase. Like the sound effects and excellent macro shots, great video.
Thanks as always Alfred! I was as surprised as anyone to see it was so versatile. I think so far there is one particular scenario where I don’t like it, and that is with a hoodie. Somehow a hoodie and a Reverso doesn’t work in my mind 🤷♂️😄 Totally subjective of course. Other than that, it is all good and way more versatile than I initially thought.
Its my 41st birthday today and I walked into an AD with no idea that I would buy this watch but walked out with it. This watch can be worn with anything!
Congratulations! Wear it in good health :-) Very versatile, definitely try it on a few different straps too, changes the vibe quite a bit, makes it more versatile as a result 👍 Happy Birthday! 🥂🥳👍
Another great video that I’ve watched many times. I’m close to pulling the trigger. After the two month honeymoon are you still in love with this Reference? Any regrets? Did the medium Classic feel/wear too small? I have a 7”/18cm wrist and I felt the medium was too small for my particular wrist so I’m also going with the large Classic. Thanks!
Beautiful!!!!! Congrats! Another watch I’m in pursuit of. A Speedy (I own one) then the Explorer 39mm (I will buy one by the end of this year). It’s difficult to find here in Chicago knowing my AD is going through some legal issues in court in regards to illegal sales practices. Now this Reverso!!!! Not bad for the price. I’m looking for the Duo Face large in steel. I am so torn between getting the Reverso or Explorer since they are close in price. Regardless I AM getting both at once or in due time God willing. Thank you for the review. Once again, you sold me on getting one. My goal is to add the Explorer & Reverso w/my Speedmaster, for a perfect 3 piece all purpose collection. Cheers
@@jonathanl2748 Oh nooooo JLC does not play games. If anything they will help you find what you want. JLC goes above and beyond to help a client. Plus you will find just about any JLC reference. Even if you own something very old and rare. JLC has records and will make parts if needed for any of their watches. Like I've always said JLC is Patek quality, with Rolex prices.
Thank you! That is one of ours indeed. It is a gator however, we do not ship those outside the EU Customs union for the moment.. Thanks a lot for watching!
@@degriff Understandable. What isn't are alligator farms for alligator meat consumption. Yes it taste just like chicken. Alligators are far from extinct here in the USA. If any there's an over population in the wild (Southern United States). The skin is no use for processing factories. Makes no sense
Thank you! Perhaps also have a look at the Tribute (not duo face). I didn’t pick that one because I prefer the guilloché dial on the classic one, but worth comparing in the metal if you can 👍
Agree! I also think the Monoface is the purest form of reverso, where the duo face kind of makes the watches purpose an after thought for the sake of complication. Just my thoughts. I need to try large and medium on, still in between till then
Good deal! Yes on JLC in general you can usually get a friendly price with a bit of searching around. I also did not pay full retail at the time (no free strap however :-)). Some AD’s used to even sweeten the deal by inviting you to visit the manufacture, good times
Thank you very much for review. One question: I’ve seen from other videos that the second hand can be stopped by winding the crown counterclockwise (when the crown is not pulled out). Do you know if it’s true? Thanks.
Hey Tony, I have checked on mine following your reply and I can't seem to get it to behave in that way very consistently. I can manage to 'delay' the tick every so often, but I can't hold it there very long. On the Speedmaster the 'gesture' to make this happen is very similar, yet there I get much more consistent results. Perhaps it is just me
@@degriff Hi, sorry to bother you again! Your video actually convinced me to buy this watch for my wedding, and I really want to know more about this watch from other kind owners;) I heard that actually this watch can be hacked with the traditional method of backhacking. That is to put a very slight pressure on the crown while setting time backwards(turning the crown very slightly ccw while adjusting the minute hand). But the watch can be hacked only when the power reserve is relatively low / not fully wounded. When the watch is fully wound, the backhacking seldom works. If it does not bother you, can you help me check whether this is true? Thanks a lot.
Hey Jason, thanks! it definitely has highly polished sides. It is not more susceptible to scratches than my other watches from what I can tell. It will definitely get (micro) scratches - it’s steel after all
Greetings!! Would like to know if you would go for Medium or Large for the Reverso Classic Duoface smallseconds. I have a 6.6inch wrist, both medium and large sits well but i just cant decide
My wrist is 17.5cm but have the same problem - can’t choose medium or large? I like the idea of keeping closer to historical smaller (medium) size but think the large may be more readable and perhaps comfortable. Any help would be appreciated…
It’s my belief that every lover of horology has to have a Reverso in his/her collection. I look forward to obtaining mine. Great video!
Fantastic. My next watch will either be the medium size version of yours or the new 36mm Explorer (when and if). Either way, I want the Reverso at some point, hopefully sooner than later.
Wicked review again, top quality production as usual 🔥🔥🔥 The Reverso is massively underrated imho
You're wrong: it is not underrated for connaisseurs.
Expensive: yes
Worth every penny: yes
A must have if one have the means: yes

Thanks! I also got mine on the Fagliano one fwiw :-) Swapped to black gator after a week
Beautiful black gator strap ! May I ask what strap it is?
Wonderful review.I have the Duo Face, and have to admit I have worked out at the gym with it a couple of times. It’s a sports watch right? 😆

Zero regrets, it fits perfectly in my rotation. With an 18cm the Large is a complete no brainer imho :-)
It is a fidget spinner for adults, I wear mine daily. I love it. It is a go anywhere watch.
great video thank you for sharing!
Thank you for watching and the kind words! :-)
I just bought today....with a brown calf leather strap option.
Congrats man! Wear it in good health 🙌
Great Video! Correct me if I'm wrong, this is a dress watch, right?
Thank you.

Wow, same exact plans for myself, though I already have the 39mm Explorer. Hopefully, JLC authorized dealers don’t play the games that Rolex AD’s do.
