I bet that little block you were holding was the piezoelectric material in the injector. It’s a material that changes shape when you apply voltage to it. It doesn’t look like there’s a traditional coil at all. The material has to change shape only very little as you said the needle only has to open a tiny bit.
Hey Tasos, can a (warm) long crank issue be caused because of leaking injectors on the m112/3k? I know there is a valve inside the pump so already changed pump and filter with regulator and no improvement. no fault codes and it's running fine otherwise. I know i should buy a test gauge but the fuel system is not so complex on these old engines. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work!
I have looked around the internet for the diameter of this injector, do you have the possibility to measure it with a Vernier/Caliper? Thank you for a great channel!
Yes. At least thats written on my bill... so i paid for it 😅😅 What I'd be more curious about is if there is a difference between the "mercedes Bosch" injectors and the original bosch injectors. Price difference is 100€ per piece...
Hi Tasos, what do you think of the M177 engine comparing to the old Mercedes V8 as non_AMG and AMG models. Does it worth the love? If you get what I mean :).
piezo crystal which expands then contracts when voltage applied (the expansion is what pushes on the pintle to open)
cracks me up all the time! "i hope it doesnt come to my face!" :p your curiosity is exciting to watch man! yes!

+Christophe Johnson hi, I didn't know that, thanks for the info 👍

dear Tasos,
I'm replacing my injector, is that true, when you replace one of the injector, you have enter inector code to ECU? Thank you

I have a 2017 c63s and need to replace my injectors 😅 do I need to program them after ?
How do you how that the injectors are not working? What can I look for when replacing it from a m157 CLS 63
Did you ever fix your issue? I have same car.
Are the M276 and M278 similar? I’ve been wondering if I can use the M278 injections in my M276 for more flow.
So is it possible, that all the cylinder bore damages in m278 m157 are because of injector fault? --> gasoline washes away oil
Hi Tasos, are there any aftermarket injectors for the M157, M177, M178?

any idea how to get the "hold down clip" (when reattaching to fuel rail) back on?
