Guys, I just set up it up after debugging this.
If you are stuck, start over:
- Do a factory reset. Open the panel by pulling it up, use a screw to press the button through the hole and hold for 5 seconds. You will hear three beeps. It is now reset.
- First you have to change the programming code. This is not the lock/unlock code, but the one used to create the the former.
- Press 0 0 0 0 and immediately press Lock/Unlock button.
- Wait for two blinks of the red light
- Press 4
- Wait for two blinks of the red light
- Then press Lock/Unlock.
- Then wait for another two blinks of the red light.
- Then enter your new Programming Code. (This is not the lock/unlock code)
- Wait two blinks of the red light
- Press Lock/Unlock button
Next, it is time to change the lock/unlock code:
- Enter the new programming code (from above)
- Press Lock/Unlock button
- Wait for 2 blinks of the red light
- Press 1
- Wait for 2 blinks of the red light
- Enter your new lock/unlock code (user code)
- Wait for 2 blinks of the red light
- Enter Lock/Unlock

Make sure you keep your door open when you're setting up your codes as you may get locked out!
Good point! Obviously this is not the only door in the house, but it definitely will save you from extra unnecessary hassle.

I followed your video. Got green lights all the way until I tried to lock and unlock the door. I shut the door and pushed the lock/unlock button. Nothing happened except for a red light and beep.
I had someone manually lock it from the inside then I entered the set user code and pushed the unlock button - I got the red light and beep.
What am I missing?

I was going to throw this thing away. My door is left hand swing. Didn’t work until I took the battery box off and played with it. I had to reset it a couple times.
I just bought the same one , Any idea why is not taking the initial programming code ??

I don’t know if I just don’t understand it but I got the 1st steps but now I can’t get it to lock or unlock or even I can’t set up my personal code
You have to restart from beginning. Press the reset button
Never do this with the door shut as he does in the video. Very easy to lock yourself out.
That's why I always have a stash with the back up key. 😜
I put in a new user code but when I use it to unlock the door it doesn’t work

The batteries MUST be alkaline. I tried lithium batteries and they don't work.
