Those guys at DBR are good people. I have delivered parts to em when I worked at Advanced Auto parts there in Springhill. They were going to let me bring my 78 Dodge Aspen in and run it on their chassis dino. Just for fun of course. These guys are very helpful and you don't have to have deep pockets to stop by and visit.
Did You ever Dyno? Slant 6 ?
@@joejones9944 No sir. I still have the Aspen and I have a almost finished slant six on my engine stand. I didn't go crazy with the rebuild but it should push a bit over 150 HP and the torque should be enough to fry the tires at will.
@@adampatterson707 Cool, love those old Mopar
Talked about it, prayed about it. That my kinda people.
Right
I gotta admit you guys hit the mark on this build. I am definitely not a Ford fan, but that truck is seriously cool!
WOW. Seriously gents, this is "S" class. Highest grade. Nothing good comes easy or without some work, proof is in the pudding, or this case the Ranger. Amazing. Welcome to the "Art of Cruise"
Man i love this ranger
Good job passing that big rig on the highway. I saw so many idiots when I drove the rigs. Nice to see someone do it right.
Shell premium is my favorite fuel, I've seen independent lab tests they go above and beyond on detergent content with their stuff, as you would expect they have by far the largest R&D budget in the business.
Been to the shell technology center in Houston, they really have some goodies in their fuel, which is why it's usually the most expensive at the pump too.
Still cheaper than chevron
I pay 35 $ on 95 octaine full tank on my Silverado 😂😂
Saif Mansouri 35$? I’m paying 65$ for 91 in Cali
You need a power nation sweepstakes, sell tickets for chance to win - The Super Ranger.
ROFL ...it's not gonna happen cause of insurance!!! 😂😁😉
I learned as a kid I could take somethin that was broken and fix it and I could take somethin that wasnt broken and break it.
Born Mechanic.
Love that yall are in TN thats so dope!
I need this truck... holy if i only had the money to put into my own ranger
Where I live they have at the pumps 100 110 and 116
Where may that be?🙊
joey badabing He probably lives overseas. The measurement is different but it’s the same fuel. And no higher number doesn’t mean better fuel just means different combustion.
@@fhicks9254 state of az
@@fhicks9254 there's a station here that's family run and they pump it but 12$ for 116 VP and 8.30 for 100
@@Project-gr6zy I got you now. It makes sense that it is family run there is a race shop in my town that sells 116. My main issue is the myth og "better" gas. It's all determined with compression and timing.
I use to love these shows growing up but they turned into 30 minute long commercials, were too conservative on some on their builds. Stacey David is still the man but his show took the same turn! I know they have to make money and is still decent TV. 500+HP is so 2010!
I love it 60 seconds showing off a truck you built for 12 episodes then 45 minutes of "commercials" selling bullshit parts
Thought it was a GM commercial at first. Thank you for finally getting to the build.
Looks good but it's still in primer. Gonna look a lot better with some splashy paint on it.
Not seeing why you all are so much more excited about the pump gas drag tune versus the street tune. You gained 28hp and 15 lb-ft of torque. Yeah it is more power but it's 550hp versus 525hp in a Ranger. The first tune is already insane the second is just a little bit more insane.
Ok time to do a S10 for us bowtie guys
Not really a chevy guy but i have a 96 s10 and i would like to see a video on it
I’d love to see a restomod Ramcharger. Maybe a hell cat motor or that BB crate engine.
The 522 hp, ATWs, KRAZZIE!
How about a Chevy Luv!
I have a 1994 ford splash 4 cylinder wanting to put a turbo Avista V1 is that the right turbo for my truck or I can use a Mercedes Benz Turbo it's got a clutch on it like a air conditioner clutch would it work better
What happens to all of the vehicles after they are built?? Ever tempted to take them home with you??
True hot roders have vision and can see anything happen. You must be a quack if you can't picture a v8 ranger.
I don't even now why I like Rangers...
All mine have been nothing special
my street drift weapon nissan coup r32 mild rebuilt stage 2 rb26tt GTR godzilla making same 550hp but on corn juice at 21 psi
Upload video of it
Very nice guys!
You should add a turbo max program
Amazing build great job fun to watch.
I wanted to supercharge my 4.6l 04 f150 but cant find a supercharger that will fit ... Any help ?
Geesh my 392 Hemi running 6lbs from a TVS 2.3L makes 540 to the wheels. I would have thought that Aluminator would have put
down more. Either way it's a hell of a build and it will be a hand full! :) And.. I can't swap my pulley.... I'm stuck at 6lbs until I swap
the rods and slugs!
Lies I've see those hold 700 horse no problem at 12psi
@@lop8828 Huh? A stock 392 piston won't hold over 6lbs it's well known they frag the top ring land. It's not that the block can't... The stock Hyperutectic pistons cannot.
that’s a lot of displacement for that #. doesn’t it make u feel bad that a tiny 4.6 in a truck would gap it?
@@traviswilliamson1356 LMAO Sorry I don't have feelings about it one way or the other. I'm running a measly 6lbs making that number on a stock engine not a 20k dollar race crate engine. :)
The problem is the alluminator. It has a low compression ratio.
The truck looks so badass, but those rims.... are just not doing for me! You should of use Lightning rims! That would look way better! That's just my opinion!
6 more hp on that tuner between regular and premium gas… think I’d run regular from then on, LOL
386 torque for a truck is inadequate.
I like what you said you prayed about it before making a decision
Is there a reason you all didn't set that beast up for E85? Seems like you could have gotten even more power out of it.
Probably to be better for daily and street driving. E85 gets terrible mileage.
@@n0ts0dev True but it's also cheaper. Like you said though for daily driving premium is probably easier but if it's just a sunny day/weekend vehicle than E-85 is really the way to go. I'm getting a dune buggy on trade and am planning on swapping out the VW engine and putting in something like a J32 or J35 with a turbo or supercharger and am planning on setting that up for E-85.
Imagine what headers would do.
Were is this truck at now?,
Power Nation*🌠 ... Best🌠☁🚗☁🌠👍👍👍🌠🌠🌟🌠🌠.
I could do without the political ads but I'm loving this truck.
Ads aren't controlled by the channel. It's all UA-cam controlled.
just gotta bondo in those fake vents on the back fender flaires and itll look as good as it probably drives
When was this originally filmed?
I’m hoping the early 2000’s because even then with the Fast and Furious craze, this thing wouldn’t look good.
At least 4 years ago. DBR moved in 2016.
@@tcwest222222 Thank you! I wish @POWERNATION would include this info in the description.
2013
Looks like 2012
I hate that stupid paint job, otherwise this is a sick vehicle
i was wundering why it had knok off dodge stripes
That engine on the stand is a ZR1 LT5 32 valve motor. Have one and love it.👍
In germany is our premium gas 102 octane and the normal stuff is 95 octane
You have a different rating system. It's not actually any higher octane. It's like saying 212F is hotter than 100C.
@PowerNation Why do yall keep calling that truck a ranger when it will never be a ranger. The Vin# and title will always say Mazda.
well thats true but mazda got everything from ford.
At it's core, it is still a Ranger. Mazda changed up the style a bit, and gave it their badge.
...this is US and Ford company... 😁😊😎
Oh wait this is from 2013🤣
paint, wheels, underglow, looks like it's from 2001
Advertised 80+hp gain
Actually 20
All those “plug and play” tuners are straight bullshit wastes of money
550 horsepower isn't much honestly.... my f150 stock makes 411hp. I feel like they could have easily got up into the 700-1000 hp range for the same money-
What bed is thst?
Instead of powered ranger should’ve just called it power ranger lol.
I’m confused. Was this not the ranger that was supposed to be a mini lightning? You turned it into a ricer... no stock looks at all, a silly paint job and blingy rims.
Personally, I'd have gone to and used Sunoco fuel. The American shell oil franchises are really unreliable with what they use to dilute their E85 fuel mixes.
Sunoco has always been the best, and sometimes the only place to purchase 110 octane,(racing fuel), gasoline, and an old school mechanic we knew told us he used racing fuel in his Harley's when they were running rich. That approach always cured fuel woes when our old leaded fuel designed motors weren't giving us the power we were looking for.
What about e85?
Right? A couple more lbs of boost and E85 would net some nice gains and still not tap out the blower at all.
E85 wasn't widely found when this was originally filmed back in 2012
cody roland Oh. Yeah that makes sense. Thanks for that info bruh!
@@WhoThisGuy515 an update might be a fuel composition sensor aka flexfuel sensor!
I don't believe E85 is common in Tennessee where the shop is located.
Hahah 93 is premium :D
Ron vs aki. Just a different rating system. 93 here is basically what your 98 is.
Yeehaw
I bet thats half the power that motor can put out. Get rid of that hot air intake
Tronk needs more cam
That chassis dyno ramp setup looks sketchy at best.
i want this thing
That sucks... No road course shown
Rangerator
Where do you get the 4.6l
From Ford performance, it's a crate engine.
Right tail light was out.
Your guna have fun
Too bad the ecoboost clearly states premium fuel only.
@Silky Black to save a few bucks at the pump. Ill pass
@@ShelbyZ2910 exactly
@@ShelbyZ2910 who builds a race car with the intentions of saving gas? Not me.
Sorry, but paying $3~4 more for 20more hp and 30tq over 87 is a steal.
Anything with more than 100HP can overtake that old heavy slow truck... it’s really an insult to put a 332 HP pickup in the same category with that heavy slow monster :))))))))))))
Long tubes..it needs headers
👍
Just call the truck the black or dark power ranger.... I had a 95 ford splash and i called it the purple power ranger
No! Bad idea.
Hypertech programmer numbers are bullshit and you just proved that ...
👍💪💯
One big ad
Lmao he can feel the power huh? Must not know what real power is that thing is only in the 5's tops 7 I wonder what would happen to 1000+ if he here's that 💀☠
I'd change the rims chrome looks weak
you guys are seriously happy with 540 hp? thats depressing
that’s to the wheels, that’s wicked for a ford ranger?
@@traviswilliamson1356 I thought for sure 650 RWHP for sure.. 540 is fun in a ranger no doubt.
Sorry i just cant get past the way the front fenders look.just dont look right
That guy just needs to cut his hair all off. I can't even hear what he's saying
Turn up the volume lol.
Dude needs to do something about his hair. Thats a hair dont.
And it all cost 30k+
Fix ur busted brake light mann
Fix your busted face
Why don't you do tuning by 5star tuning. Much better
These are old episodes Pappa...
Don't show Chevy make the job on the ranger
Hypertech is weaksauce. Stick with SCT
Plis translet indo
i will get 500 hp from a 351 cleveland and it would eat your expensive blown candy motor !
