Do you know how many videos out there tell you to do the exact things you've already tried? This one actually has THE FIX and you sir, should be working for NASA. Thank you!
OMG... although I have already tried new washers, every single wand style watering thingy has leaked all over me and even when brand new! I watched your video and found a thick rubberband from asparagus and BAM, no leaks! It's brilliant! I thought you were going to push it inside the handle but having it on the outside snugs it up perfectly! I am thrilled! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! You totally made my day!!!
Ummmm... Are you kidding me!!! You have just changed my life! I have bought a new nozzle every year for the last 10 years because they always start leaking towards the end of summer. What just happened.. wow, I will be applying this new knowledge in a few minutes.
Hey Sarah, This was just meant to be a quick fix. The big box stores sell packs of rubber washers which can wear out or fall out. Those do the best job. But till you can get to the store, the rubberband - preferably fat, works in a pinch! Thx for watching!
This worked great with my Honda 2600 psi Pressure washer ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP , it came with two different size adapters, and tread tape so you're ready to go. I used it on my sidewalk that was getting dark and it worked great with no sprayer streaks. Just back and forth, really easy and way better than the spray adapters that came with my Pressure washer.
Thank you I as a 67 year old female without husband have had headaches to fix this. I’ve been throw them away and replaced them endless times. After your video I don’t even need to go to home depot to buy a right size washer. With a rubber band, boom I fixed my leaky nozzle. Your video saved my time money and headaches 👍❤
This was a fantastic tip, thank you very much! I tried using Teflon tape with silicone washer stoppers and that didn't work at all but try the rubber band trick and voila, success!
Thank you. For the last couple of days I have been soaked while watering plants. Bad thing is that I went out and bought a new sprayer before I saw this video. Oh well, now I have one for the front yard and one for the back. Thanks for the tip.
Hey Rochelle, Sorry we didn’t get to you first! Our video is really a temporary fix - so you are agead if the game with your new sprayer! Thx for watching!
Look at the area where you are putting the rubber band. There's a deeper wider indentation. My hose doesn't have that. Also my sprayer does have a washer but it doesn't stop the leaking. I've tried up to 3 washers with no luck 😜
Mine isn't leaking from there, its leaking from the multiple hose function.... when the turn the water on, its spraying water without me needing to apply pressure oil n the handle 😭😭HELP?!?!
Hey Sharon, The rubber band was meant to be a temporary fix. Fat rubber bands work best. Once you buy the washer seal designed for it, you should be good. If one doesn’t work, you could try stacking two - though that should not be necessary. If it still leaks, I’d punt and buy a new nozzle. Hope that helps. Thx for watching!
Hey sybillockhart, Hmmm. Not sure. This was meant to be a temporary fix. Maybe the nozzle connection is bent? Maybe it’s time to buy a new nozzle. Sorry to hear it didn’t work. Thx for watching!
Hey J W, I don’t know any quick fix on that! Ouch. Either is a defect or dropped and busted. Maybe call company, see if they’ll send a replacement or internal parts? Thanks for watching.
@@Housebarons Upon some research, it turns out Zero-G brand hoses can do this. This sucks extra because I can't even cut off the end and splice it in any way. Your video is great, though, and definitely great future reference!

Hey Chris,
Thx for the kind words! And for watching!
Been months where I am taking a shower when watering the lawn. This worked great. Thank you Gardening MacGyver!
Hey Gamer,
Glad to hear it. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@Housebarons i got a washer in there and its still leaking, spray nozzle brand new plastic and brass end on hose

This worked perfectly. I bought 2 new nozzles trying to solve this problem, and the answer was a rubber band the whole time. Thanks!
Amazing video. Saved me a trip to Home Depot. If you don’t have a thick rubber band multiple thinner ones work as fine
Never thought of this one before. Great tip, thank you!

Simple and Smart! 1:08, I thought he's going to fit the band inside the hose. That's really clever!

Great video! Fixed a cut in my hose and fixed the spray nozzle leaking 5 minutes and didn't even have to leave the house.

Hi Dave, so glad this helped! Seems almost too easy and inexpensive, but it definitely works. Thanks for your comment!
This worked immediately! Thank you for making this video
Hey Dev,
Glad it helped! Thx for watching!
Can't believe this worked.
Huge thanks.👌
Hey Yunior,
Thx for watching!
I'm going to try this after it stops raining. I didn't think of using a rubber band. Thank you!

Been looking for something like this during the COVID-19 epidemic. Don't want to go to the store. Genius. I've got rubber bands.
Great ingenious hack thanks
Fabulous. I am sitting in the Home Depot parking lot trying to figure out what to buy. I have rubber bands at home.
It was just meant as a temporary fix. HD will carry the rubber hose washer it needs.
Wowza, impressively easy
Hey Joey,
True! Thx for watching!
That is awesome, trying this tomorrow when I wash my car.
Hey Tim,
Let us know how it works. A fat rubber band works best....

What adapter needed to connect garden hose sprayer head to bathroom shower spray wand?
Hey Karen,
Not sure. I'd go to big box store, get a spray wand there and try some options while in the store.
Thx for watching.
Many thanks!
Hey Jami,
Thx for watching!
Thumbs up if it works. Going to try it now
Thank you so much
Hey Sandra,
👍 Thx for watching!
I have that same nozzle. but its leaking where the green piece meets the gray.
Mine leaks with a new washer and teflon tape... The rubber bands broke when i screwed down on them. No idea what to do!
One more try - maybe a newer / thicker rubber band. Again, it a temporary measure but sometimes proves useful.
thank you!it looks!
Thank you very much .

Hey J L T,
That’s a pain. I’d take it back to the store! Someone else suggested using plumbing thread tape.
Thx for watching!
This didn't work at all for me and I have literally exactly the same nozzle leaking the same way, and exactly the same rubber band. What the heck.

Didn’t work for me. Tried a few different sizes and nothing.
I just bought some brand new rubber washers, installed one, and it's still leaking, even after I tightened it. : \
Is it the washer or is it leaking because the metal housing / neck is worn out?
Sometimes the metal hose end starts to split.
