I agree with Michael White. it needs a much more radical solution. The solution offered (which is obvious) only works for a few days and only when the water pressure is fairly low. I suggest that Kaki DIY looks into the problem in more depth and then comes up with a lasting solution.

Wrap some white plastic plumbers tape before you push the hose into the connector. Repeat this on other side.

I’ve tried this many times and the water pressure still blows the connection apart. On the softer kink resistant hoses the manufacturer uses a metal collar at either end of the hose to prevent it from detaching.

I use glue to make the connection permanent. Lasts forever. Still, I like your ideas though.

Use garden or copper wire. Make 2 nooses with around 8 inches spare.put them on connection tape to hose double back and tape again. Connecter will not come loose again.

Sorry RoM, your solution is not intelligible. Nooses? Where does the 'spare' go? What is connection tape? Double back to where? Tape again, where?

My problem is that the tap (which is identical to yours) is fine but when connected to a tap connector & hose, water flows out between the tap and the tap connector. I have used 3 different connectors to the hose but this happens every ime. If I disconnect the hose from the tap connector, water flows through without any issue. Any ideas why I'm seeing an overflow between the tap and the tap connector when attached to a hose?

Australian style hose connections are so fckn shit. Just watched a similar vid from the USA and their connections are so much better than the lame shit we get here. They actually use screw joints at both ends of the hose instead of these shitty quick connect ones we have that constantly fail.

Yeah. Sadly the plastic decay and spoil really fast. Maybe try the metal ones.

Try gently tightening with two sets of slip-joint pliers. Being plastic, they will not tolerate a lot of pressure, though. They should be brass.

This technology is flawed. The water-tight connection could be improved by manufacturers use of brass compression rings, but this would likely leak over time from frequent motion.
My version of this hose leaks where the quick disconnect meet the water supply. Nothing to fix this that I know of, except to change to a non-quick disconnect, like I had it in Canada, but I cannot find these in New Zealand.
Also, Canadian manufacturer's designed the higher end hoses with a semi-rigid sleeve to protect the connection from motion that would otherwise weaken the joint at the supply end. Us plumber's don't tolerate leaks in our walls; we shouldn't have to settle for leaks just because its a lawn !
