  • What does food cost while souk shopping in Tamraght Morocco? We visit the souk to vlog how much we need to live here during covid19 quarantine state of emergency. We have a Darija and English lesson exploring fruit and vegetables as well as learning our numbers in English, Darija, and Amazigh.
    Listen to rich rich mix of over four languages being spoken in this video with Amazigh, Darija, French, and English being spoken.
    A Souk is a traditional Arab market. Much like a farmers market in the United States. I worked on a farm in Wisconsin named Roots Down, and I fell in love with vegetables as I explored veganism and vegetarianism in my early yoga days. I explain what I look for when shopping for produce. How do you tell when a melon is ready? What can you do with beat greens. How much do things cost in Morocco.
    Tune in and find out in this Moroccan travel vlog from a Slovenian and an American between Agadir and Taghazout.

      Cost of living in Marrakech may not be as cheap as you think since the influence of tourists on living cost made it an expensive area to live. Without need to mention the greedy people that are overcharging foreigners.

      @WHITE TWIN FILMS Morocco is very convenient living place with its cheap living cost but the income is relatively low, also the high jobless rate in the country. As resume it's a pretty good place when you have your own saving or good income, meanwhile it's hard,inconvenient, for low-income and jobless people.

      lmasmom BuZz there’s many organic stuff in the market...it’s usually sold by very small farmers and not frequently because natural (organic) small farmers can’t produce a lot frequently. But even this produce taste like organic because the farmers aren’t using a lot of pesticides except for tomatoes and onions which are produced by big farmers who use western standard pesticides. But in my opinion only small farmers who plant fruits and veggies only for self-sufficiency produce organic or the wild herbs and plants that grow naturally in the forest or in the woods. Other than that I don’t think anything on an organic supermarket shelf is really organic! How can it be when the shelves are always full of produce and products? Even the term organic is a little not clear-it should be called natural food as opposed to chemically-helped-to grow food

    • @brahim119
      @brahim119 4 роки тому +2

      *Harun Hudson.* True in Western countries organic food is more expensive, at least that's what I read. But look at it from the bright side. Would you rather pay about 10 to 20 percent more to obtain healthy food, or buy only GMO food which is much cheaper but in the future you may be spending a lot more money to restore your health that deteriorated because of toxic food ?

    When my westerners freinds ask me how to spend a good vacation in Morocco, I usually advise them to meet the locals and blend in for the best experience. You my friend you just got it right. Stay around people, get your supplies from souks and most importantly interact with people. Very nice video especially no background sound effects; only people and nature sounds. Kudos and salam alaykom

      I shared ur video with some fellows here in Germany and wrote down: If all the tourists are like u (do the grocery at local souks) the Moroccan government will generate large amounts of foreign exchange earnings :-).
      PS. Some people answering u in french even u are talking to them in Arabic or Amazigh, it is a psycholinguistics thing, so don't take it personally.

      Here in Pakistan, it is also a Muslim country. Weather can be hotter than Morocco. Food here cooked or fresh is cheaper. One great British pound is equal to two-hundred Pakistan rupees. I speak Urdu fluently. However, people are rude, greedy, xenophobic, homophobic, misogynist, illiterate, attached to nothing but money, down right jhayaal and corrupt from bottom to top. So by the time they finished with you it's impossible to enjoy the beautiful weather. So Morocco it is.
