- Aourir Morocco weekly souk is full of colors, smells, and sounds. We shop at the Moroccan market for our healthy vegetables and fruits for the week. This week the mission was to try some new things. We bought artichokes, cardoon, and blood clementines. I had never seen a red mandarin orange, it must be some hybrid fruit.
At the end we share our artichoke experience as we make spinach artichoke dip, a classic American bar/ party food. There was Jebli in the recipe so Jebli got to enjoy his namesake while licking the container.

Hello Kevin , thank you for the nice video. Artichoke is one of the best plante médicinale. You can eat it raw leaf after leaf until you reach the heart then cut off the hair and enjoy. In France it costs 30 dirhams for one piece . Artichoke is the best dépurative plant.

Thanks for this vid!! two things for you Kev:
1) I always thought you look like someone with his blond curly hair but without a beard. It never came to my mind until I saw David Letterman recently in one of his old shows when he was your age, then it clicked in the brain...That was funny to see how he was in the eighties...
2) For the artichokes, you didn't have to do all that cutting for them. Just wash them first, then boil them in hot water until they become soft and eatable, then get them out of the hot water, let them cool off, and peel them off. You can eat the bottom of their leaves as we do in Morocco or just eat the core after getting rid of the things on top of it. They're very healthy...
Enjoy them and have fun with the weekly souks! A lot of Europeans and Americans are jealous of you guys to be in the souks enjoying fresh and cheap vegetables and fruits...
I am sure, everyone wants to be in the souk, it is thebest! Thanks for the tipon the artichoke!
