- How much does fruit cost? At the farmers market we speak Moroccan Darija as we shop secondhand clothes and find watermelon season is upon us for Morocco 2021 as well as Ramadan in Morocco.
At the Aourir Souk outside of Agadir, but before Taghazout we explore how much does fruit cost as we shop for various melons, mangoes, berries, and oranges. Before we get to the fruit we go secondhand clothes shopping in a sort of open air thrift store. We search through Moroccan clothing to find beautiful Kaftans as we search for maternity clothes. It’s a different type of watermelon season. Happy Ramadan 2021 in Morocco and we stay busy in our bohemian kitchen eating fresh fruits and veggies grown in Morocco.

The fruits in Morocco taste so good, you can smell the strawberries from a mile. Unlike Europe. Everything is frozen when it arrives by the time you have it in your hands the taste is already gone.
So true, yesterday we ate a melon and it had this amazing smell, almost like some perfume, it was unbelivable!

Luckily we have watermelon 🍉 all year round here in London, shipped from all over the world, I love to eat this especially during Ramadhan
But is not test good like fresh, it takes 3 weeks to arive from Southern Hemisphere,then selling it by pieces in disco and Sainsbury.

watermelon is produced in many places around Morocco , but watermelon of Zagora is the first one that enter the market in April and May, then watermelon of other regions such as Marakech ,Agadir, doukkala enters the market at the end of May and the beginning of june and stays in the market till the end of August.
The trouble in Zagora is that they take too much underground water which is vital for the agriculture further south and your palm trees.
But it also gives work and money in these difficult times without the tourism.
