I enjoy your reviews. I'm still waiting to see someone do a comparison of the Criterion and the UK Studio Canal release of .. THE OTHERS 4K. Need to know which has better encoding.

I've seen this a bunch of times and always forget how impactful and enjoyable it is. I think this and Misery (also Reiner) are among Kings best film adaptations.

Sony seem to be re - releasing a few of their titles with Dolby Vision now. I noticed also Godzilla (1998) getting another 4k release as a steelbook and with Dolby Vision and like wise with Black Hawk Down, also I picked up Bram Stoker's Dracula again on 4k as a steelbook and this time with Dolby Vision..its great for me as a steelbook lover but I can imagine it's a little frustrating if you are a purist and just want the step up from HDR10 to Dolby Vision as these re releases aren't cheap

I saw this as a kid and even then I knew this was special. It's a movie about a man reflecting over his youth and what life means. I got the last copy at the store! I'm glad that Sony doesn't play around with the grain it makes their transfers look faithful to the source and organic. Thanks Cav! If you like Stephen King adaptations there is another one coming soon called The Dead Zone

Glad you enjoyed the review! I always forget The Dead Zone is a King adaptation. Love Walken and Cronenberg’s direction in that one. I am looking forward to checking out the new transfer of it.
