Great review! I bought this a couple of months ago, watched this on my Projector and really enjoyed it. Last time I watched this was on VHS in the 80’s, i was worried it would have dated quite a bit but it held up pretty well
I have the bluray which was released in 2011 and never had an issue with the picture in picture commentary. Given that Stand By Me is my all time favourite film I'll probably pick up the 4K version at some point.
My favourite film. I've owned it on VHS, dvd, blu ray and recently bought this as my first 4k. Was blown away by the colours compared to the blu ray and I thought that looked great. Definitely got me more interested in 4k. Great video Rob 👍
Not on 4K yet but have the Blu ray with the gold writing on the slipcover. Definitely one I will be upgrading to in the the future, one of my all time favourite films.
Today I got it in 4k. I have been upgrading home theater to 4k so now it's time to get all the best 4k releases. This is also one of my personal favorite movie such a great movie by all aspects. My kid is going to see it first time and in 4k. Have to show him great movies from past as lots of new movies are completely rubbish. They did make some excellent movies back in 80's.
I'm in the US. We lucked out with the original poster art for the slip. Sony better get their act together and release more BACK CATALOG titles like... FRIGHT NIGHT.... which I was hoping for last year cause it was it's 35th Anniv.

Yes, indeed! A very underrated 4k release. Crazy this isn't more popular! Great for a 4k demo disc.
