Your Mom & Dad must be very proud of Their Kids
Another great video Emerald. You and Jade make such a great team running the LT40. I guess bad weather on the mountain kept the Boss man at the mill. Boss man must be happy to know that the lumber yard is in great hands with the ladies while he is on the mountain.
These Girls are on Fire, well not literally, it was raining or they would have been! They did get some lumber milled though! Good Job Lumber Capital!
You young ladies show alot of pride and you work very hard. Thanks for sharing and please be safe.
Jade seems to do a lot of work around there.
Jade of all Trades.
Awesome . But so smoothly operated at the same time. Your experience is fantastic
Gas powers the sawmill. Coffee powers Emerald :)
Emerald is no go with out the Double Double. 😎☕
Remarkable angles. focus, focal length. Movement,, steady camera holding, pace of swings and sweeps, interesting views. A superior videographer. I suspect it is both Jade and Emerald behind the camera,, or some other??? Whoever,,,, if you ever get tired of sawdust,, you have all the talent displayed for being behind a professional camera on a big shoot.
Happy Monday everyone!!!
Love that you young buckaroos’s work so hard! It’ll make life much better later on! 🙌💥
Can you do an in depth video of regular and full service maintenance on the mills?
That’s a great idea. Boss Man.
So what does Jade listen to? Never with out some music go'n. I think I saw her smile in a post a few months back. Thanks for taking us along Em.
I think there should be more videos with samie and jade on the woodmizer
Damn, even an appearance by Shawn Michaels @3:50!!! Killing it.
Hello from the Netherlands. Just subscribed :) Lovely family.
Thank you. Welcome to the channel. Boss Man.
This was an awesome video ! The reason I say that is, you have incredible taste in music and this is the first one I have seen that the audio level was perfect for the music. I am all about smokin' guitars, mandolin and dobro. This type of music is the perfect soundtrack for your videos, I enjoy it immensely. Keep up the good work and take care. Y'all rock !!! 🤘😎
I loved working in a rough mill. The problem, low pay.
Emerald, I love watching you and your sisters running the wood yard and all of the different saws and machinery. Ya'll make it look so ease and is a joy to watch, I could watch it for hours.
You girls are inspirational to others. Coffee company should get you to advertise in your video.
Working people.
Take note America
Yes!
Great video. Get some rest so you'll be ready for tomorrow
I ran a Woodmizer for years and I gotta say, I’m impressed by the skills these gals have at a young age.
Love the new Woodmizer features.
One of the best sawmilling channels on the tube!
Thanks for the hard work. We'll done. 👏🌹💯
Old trick we used to use was a snowblower to move the sawdust into the bin.
Foggy and wet days are not fun but milling goes on. Great video and look forward to the next one. Thank you. 👍❤️
Thanks for posting your videos. I really wish I lived near your log yard for I would be buying my wood there for sure.. The hard work that your whole family does it evident in the quality of your product. thanks.
Thanks!
Who needs a gym when you have a log yard. 😄
Good job, ladies. 😘
You ladies are hard workers.
Haha , just making my wife and I a cup of coffee to sit down and watch this . If we could we pour you one to !
Great idea. I did the same. Boss Man.
WOODMIZER, MAYBE WE SHOULD SEE SOME JACKETS AND HOODIES FOR THE WINTER. A LITTLE BRAND SPONSORSHIP PERHAPS? WOODMIZER GLOVES? BRANDED BOOTS?
❤thanks for sharing ❤
I'm liking the silent videos where you guys just show the work!!
Another Great video... Have to say those looked like some good size logs Jade was Masterfully moving around with the picky grabber (6:00 or so).
The correct name for the picky grabber is a knuckle boom
I want to say again I would like for you to either subtitle with the type of wood and the size of the lumber that you're milling or easier yet audio edit and put your own two cents worth in I think it would make these videos much more informative thank you
Agreed
I was watching a demo video of the Woodmizer 2000. I can see in a few years, you’ll be running one. Mechanized deck, run by the sawyer, log positioning, automatic cutting, outfeed conveyor and sorting table, sawdust conveyor, and an enclosed cab with joystick controls! Have to get a cup holder for Emerald’s coffee! Keep up the good work, you’ll get there!
Thanks for the video.
After spending all morning making desks. Its somehow soothing to watch this.
All part of a days work. Looks good. Thanks for sharing
Amazing video of Jade and Emerald cutting wood on the LT40, God bless u two ladies...
Yes I appreciate the mill hardware, but . . . Oh, my gosh! That opening scene when the camera passed behind you may have been the best shot yet showing how gorgeous your hair is.
The young ladies are taking on a very dignified look of late, whilst respectfully saying they are I believe, still minors!? They have put themselves on a perhaps unexpected world stage! The family work ethic is highly commendable, but in building this family business, the question is....is this their only future? Cheers
Sami and Emerald are not minors, upper twenties for Sami, at least 18 for Emerald. Jade I'm not sure, but she is not that far from her 18th birthday.
I’ve wondered if it’s her natural hair color
Creepers
@@kearnsey64 So you were "First!" on the tractor demo video... wow, that's awesome! I'm truly impressed! 😮
I'm sure it's been pointed out that loose, long hair around machinery is an accident waiting to happen. Loose, long hair looks wonderful, but so do pony tails, etc. Be safe while you get the work done - even partial scalp replacements are expensive.
Super girls 👍👍
only Jade works)) like for you👍
Cooler weather is just around the corner finally 👍🏼❤️🇺🇸😊
It looks like the weather is dreary. I hope you had fun anyway. Good luck. 👍
Great video
Great job
😁👍💯🇺🇸 keep up the good work and have a blessed day amen.
What an amazing tool better n a sledgehammer in the red hot Kansas sun.
Great video!
This channel has grown like a wildfire...
Hey folks, Just to let you know we THOROGHLY enjoy your vids here in the woods of Maine. A young friend was watching with us and at the end he remarked, "...yeah, but can they cook?". A smart left jab to his mouth (by my wife) ended that tripe!!😂👍😂Take good care, be safe, and keep the good videos coming!
Great video.
One of the worst jobs on the LT mills is getting rid of sawdust. We hooked a blower to the discharge with a flexible hose and blow 80% of the sawdust into a pile which can be moved with a skid steer. Then you only have to deal the the sawdust directly under the mill. Great videos,
I cannot wait to install a system.
Girls working without gloves now I'm impressed 👌🏻👍🏻
Emerald and Jade, talk about producing some lumber! I notice the jeans on a cloudy rainy day. Nice work, nice video!
Love the videos keep up the good work ☕️👍📹😜
That strobe light on the saw head must really help in traffic. J/K Another nice video, thanks.
I have long hair and have always tied it up in a pony tail and tucked it into my work coveralls to prevent tangles in moving machinery, never had an accident, hope you two consider doing the same.
A bunch of us Old Timers (some former hippies some not) have suggested the same in the past. I'm glad you are continuing the thread.
In ILL Annoyed (Illinois) they used to call them overhauls (over-alls).
Yay!
I think Wood Mizer should be paying you guy, for all the advertising your giving them.
Em, your sister needs a raise.
Nice Teamwork.
Hello from Austria 🚜🌲🌲
That's amazing,
More of Jade’s thousand yard stare please, love her resting Valkyrie face lol
That is some awesome camera work good job
1:18 ahhh. Now we know how you get your cutoff shorts started and sized.
Nice saw
I didn’t see you tern the 1by up on edge, but if you put a ratchet binder on um u can da it with the log turner.good job .
Good vid
Hey Emrald who dyes your hair? Looks awesome. It's got a nice fall look to it. You girls hair game is on point!
Correct. Definitely dyed.
Thank you Miss Emerald very good video. Very nice shirt you were wearing early in the video. One part scared me a bit was when the 1x3 slipped down near the track chain and Jade impulsively reached down to get it bringing her hair with in inches of the chain. Please don't scare me again like that. I have to admit later in the video seeing ballet dancers top hairdos was a tiny bit hard but I imagine top knots are a no no. Having spent most of my life with hair to the middle of my back I understand how it is to have it up or down a the time gets old quickly. Sorry for the cool air and abundant moisture/Fog in the area. A great video for all who watch your channel. I thank you.
I just posted something similar about that very thing. Former, ex-hippie, with hair that you could tuck in with your shirt.
The sawdust will be a bigger problem/resource as the production of that new saw ramps up.
Miners build a pit and use gravity to fill their waste rock (sawdust) into a cart that a tractor can haul at any time.
A small scraper with a battery motor could make a swipe down the sawdust area into the pit while the saw cuts.
Woodmizer makes a conveyor system to remove sawdust, it's an optional extra, but something they don't feel they need yet. While it has a lot of bulk, it's extremely light and easy to move with a snow shovel. Of course that may change when they upgrade.
Jade reaching in to get a 2x4 that fell ( at the 2 minute mark ) is dangerous when the mill is moving please be careful
Everyone noticed that moment at 2:10! No reason to take a shortcut. You wouldn’t want your arm cut short.
If you watch the video again she reaches but never comes within at least 2 feet of the saw. We all want to protect women but the omg's are out of control on this.
It’s not the saw blade it’s the moving parts that she could get caught on. These are amazing young woman but they are children operating machinery.
+Lars S 👏👍
@@ajosephbaumhauer4071 Its "children" by your definition fighting the wars for our country, but i dont hear the wails of distraught being bellowed for them. Maybe because their 'girls'???
Over 36,000 views yet only 4.8K likes, what happened to everyone else ? Another rainy day at the mill and another day not in the woods for Papa Bear ;) can't wait for tomorrows video , thanks for all you do ladies
Best sawmill ASMR on YT -- I think -- some day I guess I should check .... :-)
Take courses in electrical too !! Convert. Much much less cost in the end
Great work ladies!! Is it getting cool there?
Not soon enough. Boss Man.
there goes Emerald... 0:18 seconds into the video and she's poring herself a cup of coffee...LOVEIT....so predictable.....
68.9 outstanding to everyone the smell of fresh cut logs
well done
Young kids that don't be live in safety and ppe learn the hard way .don't matter how careful you are you still end up hurt ,you learn when your hair gets caught
I'm afraid it's going to be "the hard way".
Definitely 2 hard working gals. That would be a good clean way to make a little money. Profit margin probably small because of the other saw mills in that area. 👍
Safety 1st very important. It can happen so fast. And it would be very sad to see anything happen to you beautiful ladies.
Keep those messages coming. They're young. They'll get it when they realize we're not criticizing.
Great shot of Emerald's red hsir!
Amazing
As I watch this, my question would be how much service or down time does that mill need each week or month?
Good inquiry..& seconded.
I'd guess it varies depending on use..avg 5-ish hrs/day & type of wood, etc. Gramps sharpens blades & does other maintenance stuff so we gotta dial him in!
We keep “ware parts” in inventory and change out immediately. The mill is almost never down. It is serviced when the girls are done with the day. Boss Man.
@@KenBreon Love that attitude Boss Man. I used to fly three different planes for a small coal and trucking company, two twins and a single, all piston pounders. My job when we weren’t flying was getting ready to fly, taking care of maintenance, avionics and scheduled FAA paperwork. Always ready, ever vigilant on possible problems. Loved every minute but as you can imagine a busy, busy time. Roll on Boss Man!
I am absolutely in love! What I wouldn’t give to spend one day playing on the LT40. Do they make a smaller version? I do some woodworking and stained glass and the LT40 is way bigger than I would really need.
We have an LT 15 as well. Boss Man.
Thanks Boss Man, I will check it out. I get most of my lumber from Amish country here in Ohio, but it sure would be nice to mill my own. You guys have a great business going there!
Great video ladies.. but you gotta start looking after yourselves or you're gonna get hurt! (As much as I love to see the locks and pretty faces wear a mask now or youll have to wear one with oxygen in 5 years and be dead a couple after that)
You're stunningly beautiful ladies please look after your health!! It's SERIOUSLY NOT a joke! keep making great videos also.. 🏴🇬🇧
I rarely work wet lumber so I don't know the specs on the time-weighted average of the dust that is generated from cutting it. The U.S. military using national standards has kiln dried lumber listed as a carcinogen, but that is dry dust that can hang forever in the air and commercial lumber is often treated with fungicide if not also pesticide so it is unknown WHY they have it listed that way. All this to say that I don't know if a mask may or may not help in their particular situation.
Curiously, living in log cabins made out of pine has an association with sarcoidosis so we are looking into how that could possibly happen. Pine resin? Fungus? ???
Some of us in the comment section are more concerned about hand placement (gloves can be a danger around moving equipment) and dangling hair. I don't know if earbuds reduce machine noise like ear plugs. So the only thing left is eye protection. I rarely work wet lumber so other than a chainsaw spraying it right in your face, I can't say what risks there are but I know that prescription lenses and safety glasses are 50% effective at best so when I'm limbing trees I wear goggles so that I don't get the odd eye-poke from that branch that I didn't see, and now can't see...
Cheers from The Colonies.
Having grown up in a Frick sawmill, it would have been interesting to watch these kids try that method of sawing … no pretty band mill with automatic features. Me thinks it was a better way- it separates the able from the weak.
I laughed, step 1: Pour coffee. That was awesome!
Nice mill. Wish I could afford one.
Like your choice of music in this video
I know an Amish that has his sawmill setup to be ran by 2 people. He cuts hardwood so its all ties and pallet boards. Uses hydraulics to kick ties off to stack its really an efficient set up but simple.
You guys seriously need to convert to one diesel generator !! And electric sawmill, conveyors, good lighting, office power. All from one engine!!! Go 3phase generator with single phase panels also. Your 3phase motors are cheap. You can buy them new !!
Coffee turns your eyes tropical blue.
The boss uses Huskavana. But you ladies are definitely using a Stihl log pevy💯💯
Huge like to Jade! 🙂
