I had problems with alcohol and aggression too, so I can relate to what Tom feels and goes through. I'm recovering from it now, and so I hope that Tom will get over it too.

Domestic violence has soared since lockdown, so you could say for a lot of people it does just happen. The difference here is she took him to court to force him to change his lifestyle and save their relationship. He's lost a multi million pound job as a result of his actions, been named and shamed all over mainstream media and many people will never forgive or forget. Everybody makes mistakes, not many try and put it right. Give the guy a break
When it came out he had been fired from the band, he put out a statement making it seem like he was a victim, no mention of the pain he had caused on others. Then the band was forced to come out and reveal he had physically assaulted his partner.
Now in this "remorseful" video he again paints himself as a victim. He never once mentions how his partner must have felt through it all, just that he had been through hell. This is why it's so unconvincing to most of the viewers of this video.
I knew nothing about what had happened but gathered from the headline he should maybe be apologising for something ?.... but he didn't!
I wonder if the child that witnessed the attack has been given counselling, or are they just hoping it will forget?

I met Tom and a few of the other members of Kasabian outside Leicester train station whilst I was there for a weeks worth of work. He didn’t want a fuse so I didn’t give him one. Tom is very down to earth and I asked “ why are you always on a European tour when I want to see you live”? He replied my family always say the same thing. He was waiting for sergio to get a train to the recording studio. I wished that into existence as I really wanted to meet them as I’ve loved them since the soccer am days. I didn’t take a picture but I did in my mind.

This is classic example of a guy who can't take ownership of what he's done. It certainly comes across as he sees himself as the victim. Feel sorry for the woman, very weird that she's almost apologies for him. The way that they both say it was a one off at the same time screams of denial from both of them. Very sad that someone in his position can't lead a better example other than being a twitchy addict who denies responsibility and blames it on his adhd. Very sad.

I could be more understanding if this was his first meltdown, but it’s not.. The last time was in 2017,when he split with his long term partner, he had to move into his own flat, as he’d had a ‘serious meltdown’, he gives us all a head’s up regards his ‘self destructive behaviour’. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that this isn’t Tom’s first violent freak out. This lovely partner will have given him yet another chance. So yeah, I’m with Sergio on this, you can’t keep fucking up like this and expect people to say oooh, he’s fixed, he’s been sober for 8 months so it’s all ok.
8 months sobriety is a start at least. I'm sure he knows that the hard work is only just beginning.

Also he denied everything until he realized there were a lot of proofs like videos also the witness his own child who called the police, if you don’t know about law, let me tell you this was better for him (admitting the assault) not because he was feeling any remorse but cause it was better for him, if he still denied the assault even with those proofs showed in court there would’ve been a more serious court ruling for him.

Yeah, so honest, he tried to deny it, until he was shown the CCTV?
I've loved Kasabian since I was about 3 or 4 so this whole thing is really sad. But I accept the fact the band's decision to continue without him and I don't think Tom deserves to come back to the band, nor do I think he ever will. But what he does deserve is to get his issues sorted out and live a happy life with his now-wife. Either with or without Tom, Kasabian won't be the same as it was 10+ years ago, when they were at their peak. If they think they can continue without him, good for them. And none of this affects their music, because we all must separate the art from the artist(s).
I expect a cheaper ticket if Tom Isn’t there. It’s like watching Noel Gallagher and calling it Oasis or watching the Killers without Brandon Flowers. I hope he comes back for Knebworth next year.

Followed Kasabian from the start and have all there early rare work on vinyl, was absolutely shocked when that story broke, it's good now to see Tom owning up to this and hopefully the public will forgive and forget and if his woman can then the public can. Fair play I think he's paid his dues and lost alot of respect but only time will tell .
