@@that-1-boi Rebels has some okay moments, but to call it a good show is a stretch. i think the biggest issue the show had besides that disgusting art style was the age rating of the show. If they had it like TCW, it would have been fine
I'm seeing this show as being more like a new season of Rebels than a new standalone story, and I am absolutely here for it.
If I had a nickel for every time David Tennant has returned to a role in a sci-fi show he played over a decade ago in 2023, i'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's strange it's happened twice

A happy day indeed for me as a fan of ahsoka since I was 7 years old.
Also, I think the dark lightsaber wielders are probably a fallen Jedi and their apprentice possibly, since we got a similar thing with marin and that guy from dathomir in the Jedi fallen order game, I can see that being an idea more explored w Jedi falling from their way and having misguided views that are given to their students much to their detriment

but as i grew up with the show she slowly became part of my top 5 character list

I just wished I loved Rebels, but I can't get past the artstyle, the animation style and the (for me) childish storytelling. Might just power through to try and get the story. Even the later parts that I've tried watching still feel like a kids show, and it's just not my style of storytelling.
I did love the Ashoka trailer though! And as a Thrawn fan since Heir to the Empire, I'm looking forward to seeing him on the big screen, even if I didn't really enjoy his Rebels personality (too much comic book villain and less strategic mastermind villain).
I believe the older man and the blonde woman with the orange lightsabers were members of the Acolytes of the Beyond.

Chopper!! New enemies and the return of a bloody well known one! At first, it looked like Rex with a lightsaber, lol! Can't wait for it!
That was my first thought.
I really hope we get to see Thrawn's genius strategical skills on full display here. He was so creatively unorthodox in the canon books and I absolutely loved it as so was just a little disappointed when he didn't do much of that in Rebels, using tractor beams to throw cloaked asteroids, or entire squadrons of radio silent TIE Fighters behind the enemy, so they could be completely undected until he needed them to power up and attack. Or finding a cloaked enemy ship by using the logic and reasoning based on their communication setup and then turning his Star Destroyer 90 degrees on its side and firing both sides of turbolasers into empty space, knowing that either one spread of fire or the other is going to root out the ship they've been playing Cat and Mouse with. I want to see the people he's up against and even within his own ranks doubt how good he really is only for him to show them up when his crazy plans work and the enemy reacts exactly as he said they would. That's the side of him I really want to see and it's what I feel we didn't get quite enough of in Rebels. He did great deductive work there, rooting out Kallus and finding Atollon, but he didn't get many space battles which is where he truly shines.
For those who didn’t catch Rebels: quick hit / dab of context: S1Ep1-2 / S2Ep 1, 2, 21, 22 / S3Ep 1, 2, 10 (a little of Thrawn persona), Twin Suns ep is good (Maul,Kenobi) / S4Ep 14-15 (yes, spacewhales & we just saw in Mandalorian this season 🐳 😂)

These dark side users are most likely Thrawn's allies. Their names are most likely Baylon and Shin. In the legends, Thrawn had an alliance with the Dark Jedi Clone.
Of all the characters, I hope Barriss Offee will appear here and her story will continue.
My God, do you think those force users can be from the Imperial Harvest program, just like the birthday of Jedi master Eeth Koth's child should have been after Vader killed him and the Inquisitors took his daughter, so she should have been included there.
We saw something similar in Rebels and it was mentioned in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Show.
They were to become Imperial spies.
With basic skills and strength training.
Ps even more is the official confirmation of the orange color of the lightsaber Cal Kestis was the first and these are the next.
But I hope they will focus on the fact that, unlike other Imperials, Thrawn is not a villain.

The old force user gave me definite Dooku vibes. But they call it a TEASER trailer for a reason, and we got teased, for sure. Disney better have good Marvel stuff coming in the next four months or I'll temporarily halt my subscription until August, and Disney needs every copper to fight DeSantis.

The way thrawn walks I know who walks like that is Christian bale. With that hair cut, reminds me of him play the movie equilibrium!!!!. It would be nice if it's Christian bale who play as thrawn.
No character is going to be a beat for beat lookalike, plus as you know, that's easier to do with a CG character such as Zeb, than a regular actor. That to me, is not a fair comparison. Also, I'm not one to nitpick a character's look, because I'm **much more** concerned about what they deliver in their acting. That said, years have passed, folks can change their looks. My head canon is leaning into thinking perhaps Sabine grew her hair out during peacetime, since she most likely isn't wearing her helmet as much.

My old cousin taught me about The Heir of the Empire novels. After I showeed him this trailer, he cried tears of joy!
The bearded guy is called Baylan but he and the blonde darksider look like they could be playing a canon Bane and Zannah because the ages match and maybe Baylan is the canon name Darth Bane had before his titling as Sith Lord. There’s a sequence where they’re in what seems to be The World Between Worlds, maybe he gets loose.
So in season 1 of rebels ezra infiltrated an imperial academy and a cadet, he escaped with 2 other kids a red haired lad and a young lad of colour, while we saw what happened to the red haired guy we never saw the lad of colour after season 1(sorry i dont know his name) anyway ive heard that the lad of colour will be in ahsoka and will help find ezra
Sabine looks cool. But i also dont understand why they made her hair long. Its not catastrophic, but that move doesnt make sense.
I think this show is going to be some what of a remake of the books Heir to the Empire. With just a few replacement characters. 🏳🌈

She said "Heir to the Empire!!!" The subtitles said "Baylen" for the Darksider Santa-looking guy..... geeking out here. There was a Baylen in Legends, but he was a slicer and computer geek. Can't wait to see Thrawn in live action!! That Inquisitor shown ALMOST looked like the 12th Brother from Rebels... but we believe he died after falling from the Sith Temple... right? The figure did look somewhat feminine, so I think it would be cool to have a showdown with Barris in this series. I'm a little on edge that they used the word "Jedi" in the trailer... does that mean Ahsoka comes back "to begin again" as Huyang says? (subtitles said it was Huyang!)

I think Ahsoka's visit to Lothal in this trailer was different than what we saw in Rebels. My head canon is that the Rebels scene is later -- because of appearances. She's still in grey here, and without staff -- and I suspect they haven't exactly found Ezra yet.
I think in the Rebels finale, it's much later -- Ahsoka is "the White," and Sabine cuts her hair -- and most importantly they know where to find Ezra.

A few points of interest: We see a clear inspiration and homage to the original book series by Timothy Zahn, the so-called Thrawn trilogy from legends. In the trailer, Ahsoka even says the name of the first book, Heir of the Empire. Orange lightsabers are unprofessionally homemade, unstable, similar to Kylo Ren's. This is a reference to the Dark Forces Jedi Knight game series, where the dark Jedi cult had such swords. From this series, we could already see Dark Troopers used in The Mandalorian. Filoni is a big fan of Legends and uses the best of them in the canon. Dark Jedi - not inquisitors, there are speculations in the trailer that it will be Jorus C'Baoth and Mara Jade. We see Ezra for the first time on the hologram. Hera is the wife of Ewan McGregor :)
Man, the strings just going HAM in the trailer. The music is so good and it feels so... dreadful or Thrawn-ish. I don't know why, lol.
It's been announced that dark side magicks are being used in the show. The Ray Stevenson character is loyal to Thrawn. Post Palpatine & Pre Ren was the Acolytes of the Beyond. A dark side cult, so stands to reason that Stevenson is going to be their leader. Given the Sith thing, he's most likely going to turn out to be a fallen Jedi (maybe even former Inquisitor also.)
My guess is that the dark side users are Dark Jedi. My theory is that these were Jedi who survived Order 66 and even managed to hide from the inquisitors. As time went by they came to terms with how much the old Jedi Order was controlled by the senate and the corrupt republic. Eventually these surviving Jedi fell to the dark side. Along the way they may have even picked up their own apprentices.
Five years after Star Wars Rebels finished and the time has finally come. Despite my issues with Mando S3 I have great hope for Star Wars rn and especially for Ahsoka. Looks really promising so far.
Because there is a lot in agreement about who Ray Stevenson's character is most likely means it is not who we think it is, but there is a lot of people including me hoping that he is Joruus C'Baoth from Heir to the Empire.
Also I think that hologram of Ezra is from the pre-recorded message at the end of rebels, Sabine is just rewatching it. So that is at least 9 years old, Ezra could look totally different now.
I think the old guy redblade may be a force vision from the malachor sith temple so sometime between the end of S2 of rebels and S4 of rebels, I only think that because his lightsaber looks like a crossguarded blade like the one Ezra found.
Totally agree on it feeling weird now that it’s in live action. It doesn’t look bad, just not use to it. Sabine after a mental adjustment looks great, assuming she put the armor down after the war and didn’t cut her hair anymore.

I have mixed feelings. This trailer is set to read reactions and create hype... I don't know who this new Dark weilders are, pretty sure we could grow to care for them, but why does he get a Rogue One Darth Vader's hallway scene like Luke or Maul.... Is he that important? If not that's what bothers me. Woohoo hallway scene, ryhme... No dude seriously this "ryhmes" start to feel like lazy writting just like last Mandalorain episode (06). Anyway, so excited to see Hera, Chopper and Sabine... Hope to see Kallus in some point and hope they seriously develloped that bromance with Zeb Orrelios to something more serious.
Im not getting my hopes up. Obi wan show was bad, boba fett show was very bad. Season 3 of mando has been bad. But sometimes Disney does get it right, so we will see
Since there are already many comments about who the two Dark Siders with Thrawn are, I'll just drop the name here and who gets it, gets it: Jorus C'baoth. But more importantly: Can we all just take a moment to appreciate that Thrawn's command bridge/command center room is SOLID GOLD!! With the curved/circular designs and the fact that Thrawn has blue skin, THIS is a Yamato 2199 reference if I ever saw one.
I am excited it does look fine but adding new sith is a terrible mystake. Btw are the siths the one from the animated new republic game trailers from way back? Im getting worried about these shows man. I was ll for it but they are turning into shit one after the other.
