I can’t believe what I am hearing! I grew up with 8 tracks, cassettes,cd’s and now digital. One has stayed the same in my life. The Allman Brothers! You all do them justice. Thanks
Look at any, any, live performance. I guarantee you that this rendition of Whipping Post is one of the most intense, incredible performances you will ever hear. This is hungry, soul filled musicianship at it's finest. Mountain Heart and Josh Shilling deliver one of the most amazing live performances you will ever hear.
As the leader of LIVE AT THE FILLMORE™, The Definitive Tribute to the Original Allman Brothers Band I think this is one of the most refreshing treatments of the original classic I've heard. Excellent job, guys! I'd love to sit in on vocals, guitar, mandolin or mandola sometime!
I'm totally blown away by this group. Their energy is the best I have felt in years and the way they play off of each other is unbelievable. Perfection.
I thought this was "Town Mountain" but glad I checked it out. I believe Gregg & Duane would approve of this version. GREAT arrangement & musicians. As I have come to expect every Wednesday night!
Don't know how I got here but soooo glad I did! Terrific cover! That keyboard player is soooooo fine! More, more please! Thw whole band is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We saw Mountain Heart in concert last night at the Ogle Center on the campus of Indiana University Southeast and they put on one hell of a show. As good as this video is, their performance of "Whipping Post" last night was even better. What a great bunch of talented musicians.

Bluegrass don't cut it pick it... sounds fantastic, me Ireland, Scotland inbread KY roots... been listing to lots of XM Bluegrass... and funny just thinking today... been wanting to take some of the tear-jerking bluegrass tunes and do a rock fusion version, with insane harmonies.
Can anyone tell me the banjo player is? At first I thought he had developed a way to play banjo with a tonebar. I am beyond impressed with that brother
