Nirkaaya | Sandeep Narayan & Tao Issaro

‘Nirkaaya’ is a genre bending musical collaboration between Indian classical vocalist Sandeep Narayan and Percussionist/Composer Tao Issaro. The title ‘Nirkaaya’ is a Sanskrit word meaning bodiless energy. Through the cross fertilization of classical and contemporary musical practices, the artists have aimed to create a new style of electronic music that remains firmly rooted in Indian musical traditions.

nishaada rishabha gandhara madhyama dhaivata shadja pancamoddhatanudhata svarita prajaya pranavakara
nitya niramaya nirmala nigamanta pratibhagya nirupama niravadhi sukhada
niresha niradha niranjana nirguna brahmasmI
Translation:
Eternal, Untainted, Virtuous, the Aim of the vedas, comparable to Prosperity,
Peerless, granting Eternal Bliss, Desireless, Unsupported, Supreme Being, Indescribable... I Am The Absolute.

Honestly, loved the concept. Only critique I'd say is for some reason I felt there was a rise coming but it never came and that to me felt a little flat for that reason. Not a technical music guy don't know what to call it. You know where the song swells, in maybe a hook portion or otherwise? But loved it apart from that, interesting to listen to and good music!
