I've been dealing with chronic pain for a while now and haven't been able to experience nature the way I used to and have always loved to. This vlog is making me emotional because I miss exploring so much, but I'm also so grateful that you're sharing your travels with us so that we can live vicariously through you. Seriously, thank you. What an amazingly beautiful place 🥹
Chronic pain is a vicious cycle, hope you have a good support system. Sending you some strength and love 💝 nature will be there for you when you need it
@@taravonarmeln5436 thank you so much! That's one of the things that keeps me going 💞
A nature-heavy vlog is exactly what I needed today 🥰 Nova Scotia is so gorgeous, I've never been to the East coast but I very much need to
Just discovered your channel and welcome to Nova Scotia😉. I kinda like living here; it’s been a part of my life for all of my life. Glad you enjoyed it!
@@jeffnewbery7376 Is it safe there (I suppose it is very safe) ? How is healthcare (it's atrocious in Quebec) ? Would people be accepting of a woman who wears hijab and long dresses ? Thank you thank you !
Watching this almost made me cry. I'm from Nova Scotia but moved away two years ago for school. I miss it everyday and everytime I see someone go out of their way to explore and appreciate the beauty of my province, it fills my heart with so much joy. Thank you for this beautiful video and happy reading
Brightens my day every time :)
Thank you for another soothing beautiful vlog. I read more because of this channel and I am so glad I do. Just finished Picture of Dorian Grey and I was completely blown away! How have I lived this long without reading such a beautiful work?
Love from Romania
AH DORIAN!! so thrilled you got to read it - one of the most beautiful pieces. All the love back
Emma, the enormity of the work you put into the editing, cinematography, music, creativity, information and entertainment is truly unfathomable. And you make it seem so natural, what a gift!!
im always happy when i see ben, sending him a lot of love because I feel like he is like a friend of mine that I don't see much!!!! thank u for the vlog emma, it amazing like always
haha that's amazing, he actually stayed behind in Nova Scotia when we left lol - and so glad you enjoyed!
Visited Canada for the first time last year (I’m from the Netherlands) and drove from Montreal to Nova Scotia by myself. Cried while driving because of the beauty. Had so many nice conversations. Encountered a moose (so cool, also very scary tbh, had to pump the brakes with al that i had. Afterwards I parked to catch my breath and a ranger came over to ask me if I was allright. After I told him what happened he said in this happy tone with a big smile on his face “There a sight to behold eh? Could have killed you though!” About the most Canadian thing that ever happened to me). This place is pure pure pure magic. This vlog made me want to grab a bag, find a plane and go.
This is so beautiful, thank you for sharing a piece of your life and the people in it. ❤️ NS seems amazing!
I moved to a big city last autumn to be with my partner too. I used to live in a smaller city, with more green, nicer people, just cozier. I figured that if I ever move, it'll be somewhere more remote, surrounded by nature. Instead I'm here. It's taken a much bigger toll on me than I expected, I hardly recognize myself anymore. All the noise, the rush hours, the many obnoxious people.. We also had to deal with the stress of setting up the apartment from scratch, utilities, furniture, everything, which is more stressful than it sounds. I just got deep in my depression, hardly doing any hobbies or anything to bring me joy. I used to feel independent, always full of joy and always started new projects and I was just ok and life seemed good. This city just drains me day by day.
You really inspire me, as you seem to be dealing with it better and you get to go on trips, which we haven't done at all. A big plus though, we also adopted an orange (with white) boy first month I moved here, so he's been helping A LOT! He's like my therapy cat, best boy ever! We found him on the street and he kept following us, we went back to feed him for a couple of weeks daily, a lady posted an ad on facebook in the neighborhood group to see if anyone wants/ lost him, but no one answered, so we just "stole" him. He has so much love to give, exactly what I needed. I don't know what I'd do without him now.
Anyway, rant over! Just know you're never really alone and hopefully we'll learn to manage everything better. Love to you and Calcifer! ♥
miss you, emma!!! so glad there’s a new video. i have been very lonely lately… your videos cheers me up!❤️
sending you a big big hug
Hello from Nova Scotia! So glad you had such a great visit to our province!
Lovely vlog Emma! I love how your vlogs are always so full of different parts of nature. It's perfect to just feast your eyes on it 😊
this video was so wholesome, exactly what we all needed
you just immediately made my day better, tysm emma for always doing long videos theyre very rare sometimes and i just love them plesase never stop
this made my day, thank you for your words
Ah, you're so lucky! I'd love to visit Nova Scotia someday--I just love coastal areas! Glad you're back, Emma, and having a good time!
yes haha so happy my parents picked it! You really should - it's been nothing but gorgeous - and thank you so much :)
I'm having a rough week, but this has been a light at the end of a dark tunnel. Can't wait to watch. 💕
so sorry to hear that lovely, I so hope next week is brighter for you
@@emmiereads thank you x
Finally, after a stressful week, I needed to relax. 😊 thank you emma ❤
hope you're getting all the rest you need
Calcifer is so sweet with his toys. Nova Scotia is so wild and beautiful, I'm glad you had such a nice break with your family. Cities everywhere are the same, they can be isolating. So many people all busy with their own agendas that the easy intimacy you find in places like Nova Scotia, isn't easy to find!
This might be my favorite vlog. The nature, the design... There's a vibe about this vlog. Thanks for creating such a beautiful vlog. Have a great day!
Your travel vlogs are soooo beautiful Emma! Really like to watch them ❤
Sending you love 💕
Thank you so much!! sending all the love back
Sunday morning treat! A video from Emmie. We’ve missed you! 🤍
have the best sunday
You are literally my comfort person ❤
that cottage and little bookstore omg I want both!
Emma I have been looking forward to seeing your Nova Scotia blog. Such a beautiful place. Thanks for the virtual visit!!!
this was such a beautiful vlog, thanks for all your videos. waiting for the day you announce you’re moving to nova scotia, you seem so happy there.
Pure enchantment. Reminds me of my own vacations in St-Zenon when I was quite young. I also read a lot then, mostly adventure and mystery novels. Those wonderful days, they are engraved in my mind.
Thank you for sharing this wholesome sweet slice of life video with your family 😍🌸 Your lovely videos were truly missed 🥹✨
Em, this video freshened up my mood.. there's something about mother nature.. it was very calm & beautiful.. Always love your narration..
Thank you for sharing your trip. I'm not much of a traveler, however I went with you on this trip and really enjoyed your experience.
I love seeing Nova Scotia. How beautiful and restful. !!
Oh you were right by me, I'm in Halifax! My boyfriend's grandma lives in Hubbards, I love it! I hope you enjoyed the East Coast, I absolutely love it here!
i’m so glad you had a wonderful trip! my aunt and uncle are driving out to cape breton from ontario in a week or so, and it was lovely to get a glimpse of what they’ll see through your video! thank you so much for sharing 💛
yesss I read Ways of Seeing by John Berger as a part of my thesis in college as well and i loved it!! it’s really stuck with me ever since. gorgeous gorgeous footage btw - thank you for sharing this trip, i’ll have to bump nova scotia farther up my travel list!!!!
I’ve missed you!!!! This vlog was soul food! Thank you for sharing your trip with us, Emmie!
Next time you are in the Maritimes, don't pass up NB! Most ppl only drive through, but take some time to see the St. John River Valley (esp in fall), Fundy (Hopewell rocks, national park, or the trail parkway), and some of the largest items in the world (covered bridge in Hartland, axe in Nackawic, lobster in Shediac). Especially in the summer we have a lot of festivals/markets in different towns, like the Hartland Bridge Market on NB Day weekend, or Shediac's lobster fest in July. There's also an awesome used bookstore and a cafe in Fredericton I can highly recommend :)
This vlog was just a breath of fresh air i know i am going to come back to this vlog on bad days! Thankyou for making such a wholesome vlog and showing the beauty of nature so wonderfully!! Made me fall in love with nature and i wish i can visit these places some day!🫶🏼
This was such a heartwarming and calming vlog. So good to see you having a wonderful time with your family. I'd love to visit Nova Scotia one day, it's so beautiful. Calcifer looks very happy with his new toys. 😍
I just wanted to tell you that I finished Susan Kay's Phantom last week, and absolutely fell in love with it. One of the best written character developments I'v ever read. Thank you for always recommending it (and the original Phantom of the Opera of course), I just love the way it broke my heart to tiny pieces. Poor Erik, I just wanna hug him.
Love from Hungary❤
One of the most beautiful vlogs I've ever watched on your channel💗💗
Your videos never fail to brighten up my day! Thank you. Please continue doing what you love ❤
Loved ‘The Grace of Wild Things’ so much, I purchased it after borrowing from my library. So glad you could refresh your soul & thankful you’ve shared.
Hope you are having a good week Emma. Nova Scotia looks so freaking amazing.
Hi Emma and everyone! Love these kind of videos from you so much
Your vlogs are so heartwarming!!🌸🌸 I can't tell you how happy they make me!💕💕
Watching your travel vlogs always makes me feel so at peace. And I actually really needed that feeling right now. Thank you, Emma 😂💜
Awesome! I live in Cape Breton. It's beautiful and we love visitors always. I grew up on the Cablt Trail. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. You should visit in fall, tge colors are amazing 🍂

Oh Emma! Thank you for uploading today as we prepare a camping trip ❤perfect companion as always
emma, this has provided so much comfort.
thank you.
So much of the landscape in this video reminds me so much of where I'm from in Ireland 🗻🌊💙
The loveliest vlog, Emma! Nova Scotia is like being in a Ghibli movie! Everything is so beautiful: the landscape, the cottages,... Love the Calcifer haul too! Thank you for all the beauty! 💖🌿😻✨
Thank you so much Emma, I am stuck in a hot concrete city this summer and don't have a chance of visiting nature. This vlog made me feel like I am visiting all these beautiful places with you. And I felt very relaxed and calm. Big hello and kisses to Calcifer!
Gorgeous places! Thank you for filming! And the music choice is just perfect!
I never visited Canada (yet!) but Nova Scotia already holds a special place in my heart after growing up reading Anne of Green Gables ❤
(I know it is set in PEI but Nova Scotia is mentioned a lot!)
Glad you had such a lovely time, it looked beautiful ♡
Calcifer is just too adorable
Beautiful vlog Emma! When we were living in Toronto we once drove all the way to Saint John to visit a friend's parents and from there we drove to PEI. It's safe to say that it was so beautiful! But now I regret not driving through Nova Scotia as well 🥺 hopefully I can visit one day
This vlog was beautiful, comforting, and just lovely. Thank you for posting. :)
you and your brother look so similar to the point where when he was on the top of that cliff near the beginning i almosted commented “wow emma, you’re lowkey jacked??” 😭😭
Since you really liked Cape Breton Island, you should read the novel "No Great Mischief" by Alistair MacLeod (which was mostly written in a cottage near Inverness)
Love these vlogs!❤ it’s so clear that you love nature and it’s wonderful to see! The Calcifer Hauls are so entertaining 😂 keep them coming!!
Emma, how are you not falling from like everywhere? It looks beautiful but scary! But maybe bc it’s so easy for me to fall lol. I absolutely enjoyed the video as always! I’m so happy you get to see those places, landscapes and animals, i wish I could travel more ❤ and I can’t believe your mom is reading Anne of Green Gables!! That’s on my July tbr and I’m so excited for it!! I plan on reading every Anne book, including all the retellings I can find ❤ sending so much love to Calcifer too, we love you, Emma!
We really enjoyed this video. Thanks for taking us along with you.
This made me so excited for my upcoming hiking trip!!!

Beautiful nature and we always love some beach and ocean. I'm moving to one of the most gorgeous places in NZ next week. Taupo. Can't wait. It has a massive lake. 🐟🐠🐡
When you called the jelly fish “jellies.” ❤️
I LOVE nature. I would hate to live in the city. I need quiet, fresh air, space, life(animals and plants), and beauty. I also hate small talk and fake interactions.
Oh my goodness, your kitty 🥰
i needed this so bad. thank u emma!
In the Skin of a Lion was good. What a cool trip 😊
that was beautiful, thank u for sharing🌲🪲🌞
john berger is one of my favourite authors. ways of seeing and about looking are masterpieces. i'd also recommend and our faces my heart and here's where we meet
Such nice camera work and editing here. The shots were so well done, and the music you chose for them fit so well each time. Side note: I'd be afraid to climb all those rocks
I love your vlogs and Nova Scotia looks like an amazing place. I have never been to Canada, but my parents have been to Montreal.
I missed you to much 😭😭 im glad youre back ❤❤
As an Uruguayan I almost screamed when I saw Eduardo Galeano in your family's tbr!!! It's so exciting to see our literature being read worlwide. I'm always wondering if you have read any (in case you haven't here I am for recomendations!)
Sorry for my English btw
