The cellotape & twine repair suggestion is much appreciated, but as an American, I usually reserve that for car chassis repair. As a licensed home inspector, I prefer to see seaweed & snot used in major structural modifications.

Aside from horseback riding in the woods, cuddling with purring cats, you lads are the bestest therapy. Trousers are foreskin. Geeze, what a hoot! I'm glad I didn't hate the mouthful of Pepsi or a couple of purring cats' soft, warm fur would be all sticky.

I’ve used in-floor heat and it was my fave way to heat our big home. We only put it in the kitchen and yet it warmed the whole house which was an old church. It was so good that no other heat was needed and we live in North Dakota US and its cold cold here! That’s going to be an amazing space! Cant wait to see this transform. You two are worker bees! And queens ❤❤ Have a nice weekend!

Something makes me think that you are going to replace the door!!!!! That was a laugh a minute - you should be on TV Shaun. What a great vid. Here in NZ corrugated iron is used for roofing. Many houses have it.

You must both be chuffed to bits. What an undertaking. Would it be worth having cupboards against the walls up to waist level, with a drop down bit that spans the door then you could have trains running all the way round the outside as well as in the middle and everywhere else you have planned. Love the ceiling. Best toy ever!!!

Like the plan, I know your contractor knows best, but just to keep the "original atmosphere in place when you pour the new floor you should consider "stamping in a design that reflects the slap rocks that currently makes up the floor. It will look like there are rocks laid confined

Wish i could still do sculpture ...used Styrofoam , PL glue and paper mache . I used to make massive gothic cathedral windows & etc. And also wire and sculpty clay to make miniature trees etc. What a blast it would be too make tunnels, villages etc. Sounds like great fun XOX

You may want to consider Carbon infrared heating. It is supposedly the most economical electric heating you can use. For starters look at the Veito range. They also come with remote control. Good luck with your project.
Like we said in the video, we’re trusting our builder who has done hundreds of these conversions 👍🏻

Well, what a difference a clean out makes, Firstly I agree that getting guidance on heating and cooling from your builder is a great thing, if he has the experience and suggests things within your budget, go for it. I am helping a guy here to sort out his train lay out. he unfortunately put down a lot of secondhand track then built his scenes around the track, now the tracks need attention, and we have difficulty working on the track without disturbing the buildings. make sure the track works before laying out your montage.
