Countdown Vampires. A shitty Resident Evil Knockoff with an edgy tattooed cop and vampires... not to mention slow, janky gameplay, SLOOOOOOWWW run speed, barely faster than walking, and horrid tank control, and a story that was like someone made a word salad of rejected survival horror ideas, chewed them up and ate them, vomited, ate them again then took the biggest vowel movement ever and crapped out this stinker of a game!

Yeah... Sabrina the Teenage Witch... Great comic book, good TV show, decent animated show, but a bad game... And there's another PS1 game you need to avoid - X-Men vs. Street Fighter (no tag team gimmick, forcing you to play in rounds and laggy gameplay)...
Im glad but surprised Clocktower 2: the struggle within didn't make the list. I actually can tolerate and do enjoy the game, but it gets alot of hate. I think it was done mostly right, just the barrage of enemies at the end of the game was a little excessive and not thought out
@@Fortefyre yes I see in the comments you like point and click and that's what they are. The 3rd one is one of the best IMO. I Speedrun it and it really has replayability. Unfortunately the 2 on the PS1 once you know what to do it's fairly easy. I have a good memory too
Nailed the list- Soviet strike would have been golden with better fuel and like…pulling the camera back 10% I remember renting Croc when it came out. The “high res” graphics looked great- but it’s the most boring game ever. Slow. Plodding. Tank. The first GTA was that way too- we were playing it on PC when it first came out and it was interesting because we knew our parents would freak out- and that was it. It wasn’t “fun” per se.
I'll be honest with you, Samurai Shodown and really any SNK fighter has been a thorn in my side since Billy Kane beat the shit out of me in Fatal Fury 1.
off the top of my head, I can think of a few= The Simpsons' Wrestling & WCW Backstage Assault (which offend me on personal level, me being a fan of OG pro wrestling and all...), Cheesy, Rascal, Perfect Weapon, Contra: Legacy Of War (tho to me that one's more of a guilty pleasure due to the awesome soundtrack), Bubsy 3d (played it late in life... but yeah, all the vile is true!) and the whole collection of Midas Interactive... who'd later become Phoenix Games!
As for two games that are good on PlayStation, but have since then been surpassed by more so recommended versions; Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. They both have superior sound quality compared to the N64 versions and one stage in THPS1 was able to have actual footage playing. However, the Dreamcast versions of both have even nicer sound and cleaner models. There's also the THPS 1+ 2 remake as well. The only thing that could be considered an actual thorn with the older versions of THPS2 is the notorious big drop mechanic.
Im glad you put croc on your list . I personally hated that game!!! Its not good. Its trying to hard to be like a hop crash bandicoot but was inferior!!!
The one game I found infuriating on PS1 was Final Fantasy Tactics... spend hours building up your party, just to be wiped out in the next storyline mission. Plus the story(What I saw of it) was totally lame anyway. The one on Gameboy Advance was way more playable and fun.
Id say the problem with FFT is that you are rewarded too much for cheesing the game and punished too hard to plays as intended. In that regard, Vandal Hearts had better balance.
Mulan made a game on ps1 . That game really sucked . I never liked the bowling animaniacs game . I thought that game was super frustrating. And i never liked toy story 2 or the Simpsons wrestling.

I always wanted to try the Croc games, but, yeah, I've heard they just haven't aged well mostly thanks to the cumbersome tankish controls. I've heard that you're probably better off just sticking with Mario 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Ape Escape, Rayman 2, or Spyro for early 3D platformers.
Well the thing that's crazy is that it's a mix of tank controls AND slippery floors. Add in some bloopy music and an inexplicably short length in gameplay and boom, bad time lol.

saw armored core in the thumbnail and had to do a doubletake. GTA is one of those 'you had to be there' type of games, going back to it after playing even the ps2 games will give it no appeal whatsoever. at the time though: family had a lot of fun with it to the point my aunt tried to hide the game disc lol. the missions are a bit ridiculous in terms of difficulty buuut i would say its by far the best top down GTA, the 2nd games good on pc but the ps1 version sucks... resident evil survivor iss the worst ps1 resident evil buuut if you want to have some sort of enjoyment with the game: gotta get the import w/ the guncon. its still unbalanced as hell. used to do twitch streams of LSD emulator annd it's definitely a more interesting game conceptually than it is to play, but after like 10 hours unless you figure out what triggers what it starts to blur together/lose variety. haven't tried the translation patch yet but it's a chill game to gawk at, soundtracks pretty fun too. definitelly wouldn't advise buying a physical copy though lol
Rayman 2 on PlayStation isn't necessarily that bad, but compared to the PC and other home console versions (especially Dreamcast and PS2), there no doubt were compromises needed to be made with the levels and final boss. However, I'll say it's still better than the DS port. Ape Escape 1 lacks the cookie crumble health system the two main sequels have and enemies later on feel rather relentless. South Park on PlayStation has very bad character models, even worse frame rate than N64, and really bad draw distance. The 3D Contra games on the original PlayStation just weren't very good. The closest we have gotten to a decent 3D Contra; Neo Contra, is instead on the PS2. Twisted Metal 3 and 4 clearly weren't made by the same company that did the previous games and it really shows. The closest we have gotten to a good sequel after Twisted Metal 2 was Twisted Metal: Black. Battle Arena Toshinden 1 was once considered a decent game, but is universally despised now. Ironically, the best version is on GameBoy; which is quite different. Mega Man 8 is visually stunning for classic Mega Man standards. However, the English voice work is so bad (an issue that plagued the series until after X7), the jump-slide sections are even worse than the vanishing block puzzles, Mega Man actually swimming is haphazardly implemented, for some weird reason the partially charged shot being able to pierce through a defeated enemy is now a separate power-up that has to be acquired with big bolts, the shop system in Mega Man 8 compared to Mega Man & Bass really restricts you with what you can purchase on a playthrough, the flying segments aren't all that great, no e-tanks and the Rush replacement for it is not that great, and the Rush Bike is only useful in one area. Mega Man X6 has a decent story; when the translation isn't all botched up. Either way, Sigma really should've not showed up in X6 since he does the story no favors. The soundtrack is actually really good and is the best thing about the game. Blade Armor and Shadow Armor; aside from unfortunately bringing back the security lock-out system where you need to collect all parts to see the armor benefits and not having X5's story excuse, are cool armors in their own right. Falcon Armor may have been nerfed, but you're really going to need it for platforming. Nearly all the levels aren't all that fun to play in; aside from Commander Yammark and the intro stage. The nightmare effect can make stages an even bigger pain in the butt to play through. They shoved in too many Nightmare enemies; especially since they can possess reploids. Blaze Heatnix for whatever reason has mini-bosses more lethal than the boss himself. Unofficial Mega Man X6 Tweaks patch tries to make this a decent game. The Powerpuff Girls: Chemical X-Traction: Already quite bad on N64, arguably even worse on PlayStation. Some of the worst fighting game controls ever. Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout and Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Battle 22 suffer from both being ugly, very stiff combat, and GT Final Bout has the "wonderful" addition of having laughably bad voice work; especially with the game literally having English voice work even before Ocean and later Funimation provided voice work for the DBZ anime. Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero is really bad on either platform. Trying to use an older fighting game engine for platforming. You'll either like the PlayStation version slightly more for its cheesy live action scenes or it'll make the game even worse for you. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3: In both the N64 and PlayStation version cases, they were clearly made for hardware on their way out. The GCN, PS2, and XBox versions are better. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4: The levels are dramatically downgraded, really bad physics, so many glitches, and lip tricks don't work correctly. Final Fantasy 5: A baffling awful translation (thankfully ditched with the GBA version) and badly butchered soundtrack rendition. SaGa Frontier: Very difficult to complete all of the character stories. Rascal: Camera ruined by publisher. Tank controls still don't help, though. Shadow Tower: A not nearly as well made cousin title to the still challenging King's Field series. Vampire Hunter D: Desperately needs a remake from Platinum. Very archaic action game with otherwise decently cool environments. Street Fighter 2 Movie: Yes, an attempt at a game based on the animated movie. Mostly acts like a life sim where you train a Shadaloo cyborg.
