Hey Psy I'd be interested in tutorials about gearing/specc'ing/strategy for an inferno barb. I just got Butcher on farm so I have a long road ahead of me. Everyone says that Act 2 is near impossible, but you did it so I'd love to know how! I am sure others would as well.
FYI the shadow cages wont affect you in zerker form =) its the best time to pop it and just nuke. Just stand there they wont trap you or do anything as long as you are in zerker form. Hope that helps with future kills.
Correction... When caged you will not always walk away with 1% life if you have an efficient build. I personally only have about 1/3 to 1/4 life removed when caged.

Because the problem is not with bosses, but with the elite and champion packs. Its really hard to solo them as a Barbarian, and they are the ones that usually drop the best loot.

And if you played normally, did you use a 2hander or 1h + shield? Cause right now I am with my barbarian in hell and running a 2hander nets a huge amount of dps, but my survive-ability is kinda low. Well, the thing is that many players play barb wrong. Most play them by going either full dps, or half tank half dps, when you really need to be tank with him. Only things able to kill you then is: plaguers if you stand in them or if the froster packs somehow manages to sync their frost so that you're pretty much perma frosted.
btw, should I actually care about IAS or not. for sure it increases DPS, but is it worth the higher arcane cost in general for caster-classes? is it working on every spell anyway? (like rays, do they dmg more often then? or the idra attacks faster? ie) otherwise its easy to raise "damage" with velocity
He's talking about nephalem valor, which psy had at the start of the fight. I think his point was that psy did kill the blue/yellow mobs, which was obvious anyway, but some of those packs can be ridiculously hard if you get the right set of abilities on the right mobs. I actually found izual to be very hard on hell/inferno because of the 1 hit charge attack but I probably could have changed skills out if it weren't for neph valor.
can you share your build? frenzy+2h is awesome fun in normal and im glad to see it is viable late game... i assume youd be using cleave for general progression thou for the aoe? and then switching to a high as build for bosses? do you try and stack crit for that high as?
Psy are you are an inspiration. I was considering rerolling so I coul farm better, but see how kickass your barb is I think I could manage with my own if I just spec better and have a better balance of gear. Thanks!

For Demon Hunters and Wizards, we go Glass Canon. You're completely right in your step up, if anything, take out your resist and armor for more DPS boosting stats. - In Inferno Act II and onwards, DH and Wizards have to avoid and evade. You just have to get really good at kiting, and dodging. - Even if you stacked Vitality, Armours, or Resist. The best you could get would be a three shot. And you'd take forever to kill anything. How to Inferno on a Caster: Kill it, before it kills you.

My biggest problem on this boss is that fire on the ground he throws at you. As a melee you can't prevent that so often and that does a huge amount of damage even with 900+ resist. I honestly don't know what to do to prevent that. Reminds me of those bees from Act 2 turning around and one shooting you.

This means you were able to not only handle act 4, but actually kill elite packs and not skip everything. I'd love to hear if you think it's overtuned, since you're using a 2h barb and doing just fine as far as I can tell. Do you skip a lot of content, or is your clear legit? Upvote if you want to know too!
ehm psy the spell you call berserk rage (wrath of the berserker) makes you immune to stuns snares and other rooting effects so you are free to go to town on your target with that if it is using a stun or rooting spell.
Lvled a WD with focusing on attack speed darts. Was 1/2 in act 3. Then Blizz nerfed AS and they messed up the WD class bad. I lvled a barb and had a lot of fun with him. When i got in act 3, I got my assed kicked. Tryed different builds then i asked myself: - Is it worth it to farm 1000+ hours in act 2 or some packs in act 3 OR use the RM AH to progress? Answer: No, not for me back to League of Legend where skill matter and where u don't play alone.

Judging from the build the same thing he does here. Burn all the defensive cooldowns to try and DPS each mob down as fast as possible after isolating it then kite until the cooldowns are up again.
It's just the way the game scales damage and enemies. When you first start the game your doing like 10-20 damage. Not only that, but Diablo is the end boss of the game, and this is on the hardest difficulty of the game.
Could you do a quick video of the gear you had in this kill? i see you are using 2h and wondering what kind of gear you are using to make it work in inferno. Please upload! =)
Yes Leah was diablo's child. However it is actually diablo. The Black soul stone infusing with diablo's child and Adria's magic made it possible for diablo to be brought back inside Leah's body.

In the gameplay options, turn on "Elective Mode." This allows you to use spells from any category in any slot.

one of the three most fun classes when not fighting a boss.

They assumed it would take a couple months or so to clear Inferno but people had it cleared within the first few weeks.

ya, you need to turn on elective mode int he options menu
In warth of the berserker you dont need to dodge the prison it makes you immune.
