I come back to this video every now and than. So much memories ... the nostalgia is insane.
same. that glasses though.. :D
I also watch a lot of early vanilla diablo videos for some reasons, especially like 20 million cm wizard build or stuff like that hahaha.
rewatching these old videos from 10 years ago really makes me miss the way the game was back then. Honestly I think I'd prefer the way it was then over it currently.
Ohhh man D3 vanilla was crazy! I remember making it to A3 Inferno and I couldn't get any further! So much time spent playing and my first set item as a wiz was a strength primary Tal Rasha Armor! The difficulty could not be matched!
Oh how I miss the d3 where this kind of gear was good, and inferno was a challenge. I wish I could go back and enjoy it once more.
Is there Any way to play this version of d3 Again?
It is a dream of mine... So sad that it cant be played again.
PS3 and diablo 1 without expansion
@@maxaffe3195 im pretty sure you can play it on the ps3, it never got the xpack
It's crazy to see how the things in D3 have changed since I replied to your comment.
its even craziest why i watching this 6 years later, you predicted well btw
Legendary player
Legendary destroyed Diablo 3 with his exploit runs and moved to the next feast grounds like locusts
Gehtdich nix-an You go figure out some exploits then. His Inferno HC kill was skilled as fuck.
And the goblin and chest exploits too ?
Gehtdich nix-an That's just for loots. Who cares? It still takes a lot of skill to kill Inferno D3. His exploits does not deny his accomplishments.
His accomplishments have no direct influence on the whole player community... the things he forced blizz to do with the chests and goblins actually have...
Back when D3 was good
It's going to be crazy to see how the things will change in D3 after the expansion comes out.
It was, it was really fkn crazy.
@@930chiory and so sad
the good old days
VaLLacKaS BT Back when this was the content, this was probably harder than mp10
Not sure if I became master in english all of a sudden or you're just really good at expressing yourself. Nice stuff. Keep it up.
Only 3 years passed, but kripp looks way yonger than he is now.
All that bad RNG is really getting to him xD
thanks alot krip for your awesome videos, without your "help" i woudlnt even be able to clear inferno act I (which I did after you explained the barb stats we need) and i appricate your work you doing for us! its so helpful!
Damn OG D3 when rares were top tier shit.
kripp been following you since wow. Just wanted to know you made me a better hunter and also made me want to play this game.
Gear is mostly rare items. Only 4 legendary items and no set items, at all. I think this is how it should be. Rare items should be viable and really good items to use for your character, not for crafting materials.
This was a top gg player at week 2 or 3. Vast majority of people did not have anything close to that.
damn, no socket, no cd, good old times, and 1 handers with 3% life steal + echo fury or two rares with ls, inna pants with attack speed and cc1% ( most of the people don't remember this )+ ik set for life steal. My best regards Kripp
I still have all me legacy gear. Double soc Manticore. Huge LS Skorn and many others. :)
i still want back the old version of diablo xD
Old days. Thanks for your video.
The time where I thought clearing inferno on hardcore solo (monk) was actually an achievement.
D3 is laughable now.
TheNecrocoil I still enjoy playing diablo. sure it isn't as hardcore but I enjoy pushing gr 75s and stuff.
It's Crazy to see people still playing the game after the first comment was made
this was the true diablo3 before nerf, now it's a noob friendly game for casuals
Oh yeah, grinding for hours to get int and str on a monk, sounds like fun.
"casuals" lol... no the nerf would not have been needed if the game had a decent loot system, but it did not. In D2 when you were stuck at a point you went back a bit to grind grind some xp and get better gear, here it was impossible, because only inferno dropped the gear you needed to play inferno so unless you are a no life gamer you didn't have a chance to get even a bit closer
you guys just prove my point you want easy loot with very little effort and with no time investment and the game as it is now it's raining legendaries which you can enchant so that makes it even easier to get good items/rolls
p1t well thank God because my casual ass just did a solo 80 GR
I'm not sure what you mean by resellers, but the economy is still quite fresh. Once more high end items are found, the supply will go up to appease the demand, and the prices will go down. The reason prices are so high is because there aren't many of the specific items out there at the moment.
lol i just pwnd inferno with ma DH over 125k dmg rofl
Inferno was insanely hard back then
i'm pretty sure inferno doesn't exist and hasn't for a while?
Prolly after inferno nerf.
Hugo Furublad
yes the days with 5k$ equitment and they still fkin 2hittet u
been waiting sooo long for this video to come out. glad you finally put it out. i need serious help with my barb in inferno lol
Nice to see your channel grow so fast after you started making vids regularly again
i learned a lot from all your videos man ! thx for puting those videos up !
Seeing his enthusiasm about the game back on release saddens me, knowing the state of the game today.
Ty again. Always the most informative player I have found
been looking for D3 channel and even though I play a wizard and DH I find your commentary useful. thanks. Subbed =D
Great video! Just nice. I am having a gear block at act 3 right now.
Act 2 was a cakewalk but act 3 was a jump. Can't deal with elites but have no problems with trash mobs.
Thanks! Good video!
Fantastic video, got a clear mind of what gear I want now. Subbed and favourited!
been waiting so long for this vid
huge armor.... huge resists... huge vitality... *claps* GOOD GAME! .. love it.
No, BustedPen, it's crazy to see how D3 has not changed at all.
Yes please. That would be much appreaciated.
As always, a fantastic video, great information, thanks for the upload Kripp!
Many of the roll possibilities were the same back then. However, because mobs did so much damage compared to what items people could acquire, literally no one was looking for crit chance or crit damage. Everyone was looking for defensive gear first.
I miss this guys
The jump in gear cost is incredible! I can sail through act 1 of inferno with all my gear that costs 100k or less, usually less. But now I need to spend over 2 mil on each piece according to this and it may be even higher prices today, wow.
Vitality increases returns on revenge and furious charge because they are % life based. More life means more health returned when you use them.
It's kind of funny seeing this video and the stuff he's putting out now.
I remember looting pants with 220 strength and 230 vitality with all res and armor with 2 slots. I sold it for 200 millions gold in the AH back then, nostalgia
the most important resist is very class and build dependent and should reflect potential challenges you'd face. I personally rank physical resist at the top because i am a barb with an aggressive tank playstyle, Once you hit act 3 inferno, fire or arcane is very important to me at least.
That is how much more damage that specific sword does when compared to the same non-magic tier sword. The DPS listed in the tooltip already includes +25%.
Nice vid Kripp, Really enjoy watching your guides, i hope u make more soon :D
And there are a lot of them on the way to the SK. I did gold farming in the beta on them. No monsters, easy gold, some blues. In addition, in the release client there are now some rares coming out of those pots too!
Hi Kripp. Big fan. Im slowly gearing up my barb but I just want to know how you got SO MUCH GOLD! Would be great if you shared the secret so we can all get some higher end gear off the AH (which is incredibly overpriced).
I think the thing barb's mostly have against dodge is that it will not proc Revenge if an attack is dodged but not if it is blocked.
Simple. Say a white weapon has 400dps. By becoming magic (blue) or rare (yellow), it can gain a modifier, such as +dmg, +elemental dmg, %damage, attack speed, stuff like that. So with 25% damage, now your 400dps sword is a 500dps sword. And that is already listed in the weapons DPS. So what you need to know is that the 25% damage is already calculated into the weapon's DPS, and does nothing else.
thank you so much kripp. much appreciated bro.
block amount is after the damage is mitigated from damage reduction from armour and resistances and whatever else reduction you got going
Kripparrian has sick gear here. Wanna know what I had because Barbarian is so ridiculously overpowered compared to everyone else in the game??
Like 600-800 all resists. 65k health. 12k armour. 17K DPS. 900 life on hit.
Leap iron impact, War cry impunity, ignore pain ignorance is bliss, wrath of the berserker striding giant, frenzy maniac, revenge provocation, superstition, tough as nails, nerves of steel.
That's it, about 3-4 mill worth of gear combined.
People bought/sold gear for extremely high prices early on in the game. It'd be harder to make gold as fast a Kripp did now, but the prices have also decreased significantly in the past few weeks. Like Kripp said for 1-3mil gold you could get gear good enough for Inferno. He spend that much alone on one piece of gear.
However after this vid people might start posting equipment with Str, Vit, All Resist, +Armour for more gold with hopes that there is an increased demand.
lol @ enrage, you can reset enrage timer by leaving the area, simply teleport or enter an area/reenter the area. the hp of the elites will not reset, if you take less than 10 sek to get back.
there are guides on youtube how to farm gold too, and you haven't to buy the gear with uber stats, like Kripparrian said; gear with the stats - resist, armor, vita, strength are some good things to have with a high dps/lifeleech weapon (I bought a 600dps with 700 lifeleech for 500k), I never spend more than 100k per piece (only for the weapon) until I finished act 2 Inferno solo. For example, I found a Stormshield in Act 3 yesterday too, you have to be patient to step forward.
Thanks, really help alot for my Barbarian.
Really cool video. I think that was the best part of the game, when every drop could worth something, right now, those items dont worth anything. I bought the game 2 weeks ago, so i didnt get the game in the beginning, but i think it was the best phase on D3.
Hey Krippi, thanks for the vids, I'm still stuck on act 1, trying to farm gold on my own but this vid gave me hope =D
He got that right. Life on Hit is seriously op if used properly. Most ppl are quite dumb so they put dmg and shit on their weapon and totally ignore life on hit on equipment. It's very effective.
You can buy Vanishing Dye from some merchants or the auction house. It's really cheap, around 300 gold. It turns any armor you use it on invisible.
It's crazy to see how the things, in D3, have changed since this comment was made.
It's cray to see how things in D3 haven't changed since this comment was made.
If people buy it, it's a reasonable price. Don't worry when you get 60 and start doing inferno mode with neph stacks its a lot easier to find and sell the gear for these prices. Just make sure you check similar gear before putting up auctions to make sure your not under valueing your self. This is how a money sequence based economy works.
Thanks to you man, the barb just sounds more logical to play with to me. Thank you very much. LIKE!
Great help man! Very helpful
Great video, thanks for the time!
I bought all my gear for 1.5M and I am comfortable in act 1 inferno. For act2, I would say you have to spend between 5 to 10M. Still farming for it.
Are you able to take a screen shot of all your pieces and put it as one picture? That would be very convenient to reference and look over. Please and thanks!
Im glad that with monk and the "one with everything" skill I dont have to buy items with res all, it spares a LOT of gold. And later, maybe buying some items with one resistance + res all would actually double the resistance amount per item. And the only cost for that is one pasive skill slot.
Act1, take whatever quest after you've killed Skeleton King (he's easy in shit gear), take the waypoint to Royal Crypts. Smash open all the jars in the room and the next room until you get to the room with pillars then town portal, logout, repeat. A run is like 3-8k maybe without any gold find and takes 1:30-2:00min, that's something like 150-200k an hour without much gold find gear (full gold find with liek 15% each is like 100k) 1M is 5h tops.
That chest is amazing, you can't find anything close for anything less than 5 mill right now.
good old days
This is basically him doing mp2 or 3 with that gear, which most people would consider crazy now.
thank you for this useful video,it helps me a lot . greetings from germany
What u mean is the 3 sec Iskatu kill (1st boss act 4), but the cleave- glyph which has the effect of a trigger by a crit has been changed with the last minipatch I guess.
Great vid kripp.
they were the first of 2 groups of 4 to reach inferno. they had gear from drops people didn't even think were possible at the time.
I don't know how much armor do you need to notice DR, but to softcap resists for act IV you need 900-1000 resistances. Even having a pokebarb or pokemonk with mantra for 1200-1500 resistances wont change much. As for armor, when I tried to get 1000>1200 allresist, lost 7k>8k armor from it, I started to take like 10% more damage. If there is a realistic reachable softcap for armor, it's for overgeared barbarians around 10k+, when they go offensive.
the +25% dmg is alrdy calculated in the weapon DPS. You can pretty much ignore +%dmg and +attack speed on weapoons, since they are alrdy calculated into the weapon DPS.
The 25% is tallied into the weapon damage of the weapon itself. So if you take away the +25%, that is the actual dps of the weapon.
Where would you recommend farming in act 2? I recently cleared act 2 on my monk and started doing runs starting with Zoltun Thulle and going through to Belial - making sure to first get 5 stacks of NV before killing Thulle. Do you think that's best, or should I try to power my way through to siegebreaker (including the tons of deaths I'll experience), or is there something better in act 2 to farm?
Hey Kripp, thanks for the vids! i just started my solo inferno barb and with you tips i could manage to solo to act 3. in one of you vids you explain the differnece between armor, strenght , resis and vitality i couldnt find it no more and hope you can help me out here whats more important vita, strenght or armor
You're not considering the part where he gets #1 inferno on hardcore with his barb? Kripp knows what he's saying!
Actually, the weapon would need an extra 248 Strength in addition to its current Strength to get that same 25% damage increase. Going from 0 Strength to 100 Strength doubles your damage, but going from 100 Strength to 200 Strength gives only 50% extra damage.
Most critics came when the servers were not running which happened a little bit too often so far.
2nd most critics came for the massive increase in difficulty in act 2 inferno. But I don't see that as legitimate concern because it just has to bee outgeared and then you can progress.
Other than those 2 points the game is pretty enjoyable.
In Act I the most gold I can make (now that they have nerfed the royal crypts and you can no longer run around, smashing pots to make your gold) is 5-stack Butcher farming, starting in the second level, and taking the quest to kill the warden. The warden's guaranteed 2 yellows on 5 stacks, and the butcher is also guaranteed 2 yellows on 5 stacks.
thanks for the vid it really helped, and how are ya getin all that gold?
and thanks for the last vid about the build ya was useing that really helped me get to inferno. p.s. sweet im the 1st to comment =)
Do you know anything about Diablo's hit table? Can a block use up a dodge? Does it check for dodge first since that's better? Things like that, thanks!
I did and and I played after the nerfs too. Inferno back then was easier than Monster power 7 now but we had crappy gear... He is absolutely correct...
Thats what I'm playing as WD and i agree with you.
Can you please make a video where you show how you make gold, if its farming or selling items on the AH, and how you farmed your gear.
What do you think are the most important resistances for the barb Kripp?
I think Fire and Physical are by far the most important.
Then maybe Poison since there are some annoying enemies that do poison damage.
Arcane, Lightning and Cold aren't that important i feel. Arcane just looks more dangerous then it really is imo.
Out of curiosity, since you play quite alot... are those glasses you wear specifically made for blocking UV rays from the PC screen?
"This is a gear-driven game" - yup :)
Can you make a video on how to make gold?
Is it through running through the game and selling things you find?
Or 5 stack farming bosses?
it's all about the grind.
He completed hardcore inferno with 15k DPS. That's not a noob, that's just a badass...
It's crazy to see how the things in D3 have changed since this comment was made.
