@@BlackCatKitchen I forgot to add, I noticed you used room temperature water in the batter. Was that because you don't need to use ice water as it was going to be crumbed and not deep fried? I wonder if using a beer batter would have that much of an effect on the flavour. But then you'd be moving away from the traditional recipe. Yes please let me know how it goes with the zooks.
