I love that new footage of Jeff still pops up every now and then, it's always wonderful. Thanks MojoPin!
My pleasure, Crissom.
so many years gone. wish he never left us. this helps. thank you ❤
'Hey, Rebecca...next time. Paris sucks without you'. God, what a wonderful glimpse into someone I'll always miss.
I thought he'd broken up with Rebecca the year before this?
@@bethoscope they did break up, in fact, at this point, Jeff was starting his relationship with Joan. But jeff and Rebecca always had a relationship not necessarily romantic, even after the breakup,
2:58 “oh watch out!” he’s such a sweetheart
Life sucks without you
Always and forever.

I've noticed a couple times in interviews it seems like Jeff would be about to say something personal and then stops himself in realization of how it might be misconstrued.
or some idiot doesn't pay attention and cuts him off 😡
Your emptiness is stronger ...mm but you have to be stronger than your emptiness....or How to speak so easily about things people questionned for so much Time
Or bigger sorry same thing
I like the way he awkwardly touches his hair and i love love love his voice
Watching this video I’m just thinking there’s no way he’s gone... like no way he died more than 20 years ago... it’s just unbelievable like I feel like he’s still here somewhere
You do huh.
He’s just a breath away from us.❤️
27 years gone
@@martinbueno821problem?
His speaking voice is just as beautiful as his singing voice, and his view of drugs is so insightful
I wish I could understand how he thought. In all these interviews it’s like I can see the connections and color behind his words and into his mind. The way he has to almost dumb down the way he says things so people could understand them. His life being cut so short is something I’ll never get over.
One of my favorite videos of him. You can really see his true character here, and he clearly wasn't afraid of talking about drugs, or anything... He said some particular deep things in this... "It wins and you lose. (...) The emptiness sometimes is bigger than you, but you have to be stronger than your emptiness, drugs just unlock on you what you have already...".
Not only was he a gifted musician but had such charisma, sense of humour, and a genuine down-to-earth attitude as well that is inspiring and rare.
When I have kids, I'll show them his music for sure, and maybe later on I'll show them this footage.
Jeff, you are my favorite musician and I wish you hadn't died so soon, you clearly had much more to give.
My 13 year old has his poster on his wall because I showed my kids....
@@venessa2126 your raising em right
Wow, that bit at 8:08 when the grandma meets Jeff ... Somehow got some emotions in me.. thinking the grandma has probably long gone. And then I realised that Jeff is too, but somehow it just doesn't feel that way. I guess some voices are meant to live forever , once it's vibrated and reverberated into the vastness of the universe , it's forever there 🙏🤍💜
dead grandma catching strays
He is so beauftiful
A thoughrerly down to earth guy. He must love being anonymous and left alone walking around Paris. What an unbelievably talented musician and singer. One of the best if not the best.
as a french person this video is a classic to me , the way paris is depicted ( i mean THAT's the real Paris , dirty and cloudy ) and the natural conversation of the people in front of Jeff
must be amazing to be from there, i feel more connected to the French even though I'm American. They seem more emotionally authentic; in America everyone is obsessed with projecting happiness and prosperity at all costs.
@@ArchingScarab if there’s on cliché that is Simply true its this one . If there is anything wrong , french people will let you know . Some will see this as disrespectful but for us french its normal
How beautiful is watching people walking without smartphone in their hands. It's so poetic. Like Jeff ❤
8:01 he says "oh my God!" Because at 7:56 he hadn't noticed the little old lady walking up behind him during his sex rant and he says "sorry"... "Chivalry is not dead" 😁 the old man chuckling behind him.
An all-time favourite moment of mine. I swear James Franco loaned this reaction for his 'The Disaster Artist' biopic when Tommy sits in a car and is confronted by a 48 year-old lady caliming to be "14". I'm laughing pearls at this.
What a treasure...i miss him very much. He was so simple, in your face and charismatic. Thank you very much for this.
Jeff is so natural and yet so surreal as a visitor from another planet... like the "LITTLE PRINCE" / Saint-Exupery/
He visited us for a little while. We were lucky to be alive at the same time.
@@Laura...... Exactly the same.
Beautiful man, gone too soon. I was in Paris in 1998 and there he was on the cover of Les Inrockuptibles, posters all over the city, haunting me.
Damn! I remember buying that edition after his death!
I think I may still have it at my parents' house
The world desperately needs Jeff Buckley now!
What the world needs now is Buck, sweet Buck.
I think it’s more about the direction he would have taken music and the fact that people can say a lot of things about how music is ultimately influenced or even pushed off on others, but it’s very deeply understood that the impact that Jeff Buckley has had on us and the impression that he left in our hearts is sooooo deep and soooooo hungered for that we go back to these moments just to remember to not forget his soul and his connection to humanity. It seems so strange the direction music has been taken and there is absolutely nothing organic about it anymore and I think that the story the life of Jeff was a very overlooked for a long time in America. It’s sad that the legend of him has only crept up on many all of these years later. I just wanted to voice my input in the conversation. Thank you for allowing me to share.
damn im French its amazing to see him walking in Paris without nobody recognize him.. idk why but its like France's way of life mainly Paris atmosphere suits him very well..
that was 1994..he wasnt recognizable even in the states at the time..
" it wins and you lose..." " you have to be stronger than your emptiness" " Rebecca ...Paris sucks without you " ...so beautifull...He had many interesting things to say and very deep approach ...and these stupid people were only interested about clichés ....
nice message for Rebecca Moore x
Right? Maybe just goes to show how rare good interviewers are.
soo true
@@richardtwine1655 thanks for that! I was wondering who it was
Paris seemed lonely
He had a heart made of gold, and probably very little guidance... miss you
even the way he walks..... I miss you scottie 💓
3:58~ Your emptiness is stronger sometimes than you. But you have to be stronger than your emptiness.
He gives off a little bit of a River Phoenix and Brandon Lee vibe.
Yeah, exudes same level of sensitivity as River Phoenix
Jeff's a Scorpio Sun and River, Scorpio Ascendant. Both with Virgo energy too. Jeff's Aquarius moon and Brandon Lee Aquarius Sun and Moon :)
Itbmurr1 Can't help but wonder how Jeff would've gotten along with Kurt Cobain, Brandon Lee or even Ennis Cosby in all honesty.
Was just thinking Brandon Lee!!
Itbmurr1 James Franco vibes are strooong
And someone complains about the watermark, WTF???
This is pure gold, thankyou so much

And jst when Ive thought Ive seen evverything on Jeff, here he is.....again...he WILL forever be in my soul. Thanks for this!!!!! Still missing you Jeff! Hope you're up there rockin out with Chris.... :(
Thank you very much for PERFECT video! 👍 🤝 💞
awwwww....thank you ♥
Perfect quality!
That's because I got it straight from the original source.
You have an amazing collection.
So great finding new Jeff footage, thank you for this.
I wonder if the interviewer knew the relevance of Moulin Rouge for Jeff. It was the first song on his father's album Starsailor, Jeff's favourite album. The talk about drugs must also be viewed in light of his father's demise.
Wow thanks for the insightful comment.
Thanks for uploading and for your detective work which undoubtedly unearthed this footage. I love it when something like this pops up every few years but am also aware that each time, the resource gets diminished. cheers
You're welcome, Gregory. There is plenty more footage out there. It is just a matter of connecting the dots. This recent find was a pure fluke. I wasn't even aware such footage existed.
I'm so happy to see new footage of Jeff. Thank you for posting.
Love this upload thank u so much any footage is priceless... how precious is Jeff!
Thanks a lot for those vidéos Mojopin1983 !!! It's wonderfull to see Jeff in this early movement !

Oh thank you so so much for this 🖤
Andrea Carvalho, You're welcome.
Love this !!!! Thanks for the upload
As a Christian I think to myself every time I see this beautiful man, why did god have to take this one, so much love and so much of a gift to us all why did he have to go so early, he had so much to give to us and he had to take him early, he wanted to live he wanted to sing my goodness I never knew him and I miss him
@sinisterwolf1985 God is not at fault for Jeff using his free will in a way that showed poor judgement.
Someone once said: “God gives you the most sacred gift of the prerogative of choice, but He doesn’t give you the privilege of determining a different outcome to what that choice will entail; the consequences are bound to the choice.”
Jeff was an angel. It would have been a crime for him to grow old. He's like a James Dean or a Marilyn. And anyway, only the good die young.
What he says is so unbelievably true. It looks like Jeff knew so much, he was too conscious and held the truth in his heart that life on earth become unbearable for him. It did so much up to a point that this world had nothing better to offer and his further existence would turn into triviality so he just passed into some other, some next dimension and I hope a dimension that would have suited him better. He has the same sadness in the deep looks of his as his father Tim. And I think that he had it even more....
beautifully put, and what i always attributed his death to be, a release from the confines of this sorrowful existence
He had a wisdom within him that far advanced his age that’s for sure. He is just a breath away from us, just the other side of the veil. I was a fan in the nineties. Then life took over, I have revisited his beautiful music several times throughout the years, usually when I am struggling with something. His music brings me peace and I am forever grateful that we had him here at all, although of course it should have been for a much longer time, much longer xx
He looks like he could belong in 2019 not 1994 such a trailblazer
Sheena C Exactly, I wonder why I feel so connected to him even though so many years have gone by, it’s like he is beyond time. He feels like he belongs on 2019 as well.
I do not feel like he is outdated maybe he was beyond of his time.
He would have hated what society has become.
Sheena C Yeah, you're right! Nowadays, you come across a lot more guys who are open-minded, sensitive and in tune with their softer emotional sides. It makes me think that people who are way beyond their time like him are taken away for a reason...
@@maria.maverick You can't really say this without experience though. Many many people since the 70s have been in touch with their emotions. Since the hippie era and since rock became massive. It's not a new things lmao
He would have hated all the attentions that social media gives, he would have hated Instagram, and twitter and facebooks, he would have hated autotune and all of that shit music, he would have hated all of this hate in the world but also this politically correct society, this hypocrisy, he would have hated and lose kind of interest in these shitty ways of making music, I mean he was so pure, pure on how he made music, pure on the way he saw all the attention surrounding him, we would still have a great musician, singer, and a pure artist🥺
I don't know why I watch these. They always make me sad
Ty to up this..
"Your emptiness is stronger sometimes then you but you have to be stronger than your emptiness." The man was a prophet.

Jeff Buckley is EPICO
this is so unreal!
"I say I like it but its not something I believe in"
Omg my name is Rebekah and when he said that part at 7:21 It gave me shivers
Lucky! 🙃
Rebecca Moore, who was his on-off partner.
I saw in 1995, some short vidéos from de Bataclan "So Real" shot by M6 french channel, Hope to see those Bataclan Live one day
Franck BEUZEN, Are you sure there is Bataclan footage? I couldn't find said footage on their website.
MojoPin1983, Yes that was a short part of "So Real", with his leather jacket, I can say that is from the Bataclan because I have the Bataclan's cd and I reconized it. This programm was on M6tv after the Bataclan's concert. I have it on old vsh k7, but I don't have vsh player anymore. I know (I suppose) those footage are still on M6tv somewhere. (excuse for my late answer)
Frank BEUZEN, I searched all through out their archives and couldn't find it. Do you know which show it was on? Rock Express, Rockrush, Fax'o?
That was Rock Express and the broadcast was after the bataclan, maybe during feb 95 or months after. I'll try to see that on the M6 video bank too ;) If you find it, you know what to do :)
Yeah, I checked all through the video bank using such keywords as 'Bataclan' and 'Jeff Buckley' and didn't find anything other than what I have uploaded to my channel.
the universe knew the impact jeff would’ve made to the music industry if he lived longer so it took him away from earth to safe what the music industry is now. a bunch of generic bs music now, all sounds the same man. i still can’t imagine how a r&b/soul album from jeff would sound like or a pure rock one. i mean he showed us he could do both in Enternal life and Forget her or Everybody here wants you
Jeff's take on drugs revealed he had a very open mind... He liked drugs a little bit but not really at 2:55 and 3:14... And then at 4:30-4:53 he shows he is a very open minded and insightful guy. We need more minds to open like this.❤💘💓
It was cool that he said that he liked being straight best! I understand...
I sleuthed and am pretty sure it's the Royal Fromentin Hotel the interview is in.
6:04 what was that random noise he made? 😂😂😂 He was such an adorable dork
He was singing Sadness by Porno For Pyros, great song btw
@@somedaysometime good lord, that totally went over my head and i knew this song x.x thanks for reminding me!

no problem guys!
4:31 - 4:51 after spouting pearls of wisdom about drugs... He goes on to does this 4:58 lol silly guy. 😁
Wisdom and drugs don't go hand in hand. The very idea of taking drugs is foolish. Even Jeff admitted, toward the end of his life, that weed, for instance, was a big waste of time.
8:15 I'M DEAD
Why what is the old man saying there?
Minnie Mice think he said la loco. So pretty much he’s crazy haha

What a treat... By the way, does anybody know who the other girl is? She's usually in the background and then reappears at the end when Jeff and Steve Berkowitz enter Moulin Rouge.
The one interviewing Jeff (with the red hair)? Laurence Romance is her name.
@@MojoPin1983, I mean the girl in the checkered coat, she stays in the background. In the beginning, she touches Jeff's arm (0:47) and at the end she reappears next to Steve Berkowitz.
@@MojoPin1983, were you able to identify her?
@@MojoPin1983, sorry for being a nuisance, but I'm continuing my detective quest to identify the girl by Jeff's side... And I don't mean the interviewer ;) She can be seen at 0:47, for example.
@@silvania696that definitely wasn’t her bc Jeff mentions him wanting Rebecca to be there with him at the end
"All my best friends have been girls"
Yeah no shit, if I looked like that and could sing my ass off you can damn well bet my all best friends would be girls as well.
youve totally missed the point there but go off
He's so "why am I here.😅
I also hate cocaine and love mushrooms. XD
Jeff is just perfect !!!!
He could be Jim Morrison son
the random kid haha aw
It's in the Pigalle part of the city, so much fun there. Lot of sexshops but also lot of Irish bars, and restaurants. Good choice for a video, it's my favorite place in the whole Paris. The real Paris is here.
And of course, a lot of Concert places to be found here. You want to have fun in Paris, go there. Promise.
She interrupts him so rudely at the start of the video ignores him basically like he's talking to himself. ... not a fucking clue does she have. But this is the most honest video I've seen of jeff also..... but how I wish i was Rebecca.
she was doing that to ask her producers if they could walk around outside..so be happy she did
This is kind of a disaster, because they sort of ditch the microphone guy. I’d have loved to walk around Paris with him. To see the world through his eyes.
I had to pause at 02:07. Those bins. Parisians understand.
7:20 oh to be rebecca
love that Jeff dug MJ...I would get stoned with Jeff Buckley.
@michaelenomusic Michael Jackson?
Que alguien traduzca el videooo :'(
Podrias subtitularlo al español por favor🙏?
He did smoke though and the voice you heard on Grace was gone due to the touring and the smoking. His voice was still amazing, but had he lived I doubt he'd be singing anything like he was. Miss him terribly though.
I dunno. Look at Chris Cornell years later could still sing like an angel. If Jeff had a super elastic voice he could have continued to sing like an angel into his later years. Plus his step dad said that a week before he died, Jeff had called him excitedly telling about how he had stopped eating meat and quit smoking.
@@Oyuki-Mayonesa I knew Jeff and he let the bad exposure of the music business get ahold of him. His voice was changing from the smoking and he no doubt would have lost his high range by now.
@david taylor How did you know Jeff?
That’s so interesting. I’ve read a lot that he didn’t smoke then he picked up... along with a lot of partying...but people close to him say he wasn’t partying or anything at the time he died. Honestly, the 2 or 3 years he smoked is not that bad. Your lungs can heal themselves pretty quickly
@Yvonne ... lungs maybe heal ... but the vocal cords would be permanently damaged.
Whats the motel he's staying at? Always enjoy doing google Maps of his haunts.
It doesnt't exist anymore, it's in the street "Rue Fromentin". Today there is "Artemisia Hostel".
God he's so fine

@hot box the womb The only way that one could get this footage without the watermark is if they licensed it from the copyright owner (M6).

Jeff: "As long as you don't get in the middle of our eye contact, you're free to go wherever you want to."
Camera man: "I will try."
Jeff: "Yeah. Just imagine beams ― I mean like, seriously ― beams of light going from person to person. If you break it, then we're fucked. They will (or then we'll) have to give you a kazoo or tambourine, or something."
