Thank You all four seriously amazing musicians, two home on Earth two home in their Eternal legacy Blessyou all so much beautiful music made at a pivitol time in US history, sooooo much love, your songs are Timeless,. And very Heart me moving, I was born in 64, and my Dad and Mom listened to your music, it is Forever in my DNA beautiful humans...all of you
I was there in October 1989. Walking into the Perelachaise is like walking into 19th century. The place was shrouded in fog which gave it an eerie air. The cemetery is huge. Literally a different world. There were a few people huddled around the shrine. The smell of hash wafted in the air. All I remember is a young girl sitting there with a world-weary air. Probably stoned and probably pondering the mystery of life/death. I will never know who she was or where she came from. Maybe she is a mom somewhere with her kids now grown up. I cannot know. This is the mystery of life. But here I was at the grave of the doomed rock star/poet of the 1960's. Here he lay this Rimbaud of the music world once an unfettered spirit who became a modern romantic figure. Eventually his life was subdued by the tyranny of reality which is unforgiving to those who dont conform or accept its diktats. But his spirit and his music still survive after all those years with its siren call 🏛🎸🎭
Soul kitchen was my favorite from the first album but dont forget the band 'LOVE'(Bryan Maclean,Arthur Lee,Johnny Echols) who where the first band on the sunset strip(multi racial group)who influenced Jim and every one else and where instrumental in getting the Doors signed.
Jim's 78th Birthday is coming up wow hard to believe. Rest easy sweet angel there will never be another like you . I was just turned a 13 a little before he passed my older siblings introduced me to the Doors .
Thinking about starting a savings account to go in 2 years for the 50th anniversary.. So crazy its really been 50 years already since the Doors were at their prime... Time is so crazy, i wasn't even alive and it seems insane its really been 50 years
Bel video veramente!sono davvero contenta di vedere che ancora a tanta tanta gente, giovani e anziani, piace ancora Jim!!vedere questi video mi commuove anche se non sono lì.. Rip in peace Jim♥️♥️♥️
"Very good video, too bad it's very expensive to go from Brazil to Perlachecer in Paris, so it's good to watch this kind of video. Hugs from the Brazilians there, long live The Doors, one of the greatest bands in history."
sad....so sad. the weeping off camera got me. if you look back, say the beatles, Paul and John were envious and egotiscal. remember after John died, Paul wanted to change in credit songwriting be McCartney/Lennon instead of Lennon/McCartney. These guys Ray,John and Robby geninuely love and respected Jim. Fuck sake, I miss these guys
50 years coming up July 3, 2021. His estate is releasing all his poetry, journals and lyrics with some drawings. I preordered mine for June 8, can’t wait! #LongLiveLizardKing 🦎
Far out.. Jim is alive in spirit and in music. When the music is over, turn out the lights ✌ RIP Jim @ Ray .Got to see Dave Brock an Wild Child many times at the Whiskey A Go Go an other places. Have made a special video of them. Sure miss those fun days.
Thank you ever so much for shooting me in your video.I was the one wearing the Leather's and the white Poet's shirt.I would just like to thank Susan and Christine for sending me the video link.
Thank Arthur Lee who insisted that Elektra sign The Doors. Both Love and The Doors were quintessential LA bands, even though San Francisco was center of great psych bands. RIP Jim Morrison and Arthur Lee.
Thank you Dean for making and sharing this video! It was a really great day! I had the chance to perform an a capella version of our song "Jim" at the grave that day - amazing! I posted the video of the studio version here. I hope you don't mind!
And somewhere in France 🇫🇷 lies the tomb of the Le Breteuil family and therein lies interred the mortal remains of Jean de Breteuil. who succumbed in Morocco 🇲🇦 circa 1971, 22ans. His grave is private and largely unvisited. But he too played a part of that drama back in July 1971, which has now become part of rock folklore
They made a mistake not picking up this guy in the 70's. I met this guy back then and he was a dead ringer for Morrison and sounded like him. Journey picked up that Asian guy and they did great. And he had the spirit too. Wild Child was not a temp thing....This guy was into it. I doubt if he could come out with the Poetry like Morrison, but we have to remember that Krieger was writing half the songs and created a lot of Doors hits. Who knows what this guy could have done, and we will never know. I am not saying Morrison could be replaced....but maybe the next best thing. LOL I would have enjoyed the illusion.

RIP rock n roll... Ok... I kid... It's on life support
now over fifty!
Rip geniuses Jim and Ray. The Doors are the greatest band of all time.
Sparkes669 the doors were the best band to me growing up, but there is one band better than The doors, Pink Floyd.
The Rolling Stones are the greatest rock and roll band ever.
Gary Pace is that really rock? Just kidding. Is a matter of taste, I’ll prefer LED Zeppelin instead. Rolling Stones are ok. Not great.
The Beatles are the best , hands down!
with the Sparks the most important in my life
a true legend, he will never be forgotten, no matter how many years later..
It feels so new Jimmy's music after 50 years still today wow
Ray is an awesome story teller!!!!!
Now 53 years ago! Never forgotten! Jim and now Ray! 🎤🎸🎹🎶🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😍😍😍😍
Ray Manzarak, the best pianist that ever will live
Liberace!
Indeed he was one of the greatest musicians of his generation, and one of the best keyboardist in rock history! R.I.P Ray

Now, San Francisco is the center of homeless, mentally ill, America-hating leftists. Time has not been friendly to both of those cities.
Genius all of them!
Great documentary and a stellar editing job.

JIM'S IN A CLASS BY HIMSELF!!!👍😁🎤🤬🗽
Been there. Bought a map across the street and went to see Jim - before the fence went up!
I assume the fence went up to stop the graffiti and whiskey bottles?
The grave most visited in Pére Lachaise cemetery . What could Jim think about it ?
Indian, Indian what did you die for?
Indian says, nothing at all.
Mago Evaso very good
always chills. he's here with us. just in every lizard you see.
In which cafe did they play The Crystal Ship, this like the End is such a psychedelic song and my favourite!
♡♡♥♥♡♡love!
What do you suppose all those crosses on Ray’s black shirt are supposed to indicate? He was always very deliberate in all of his statements.
Who's the guy standing next to the Piano?? That does sound like Jim though! Well done. He even acts like him! LOL :-) Amazing!!
