Love the stop and praise. Soak time truly works. Thanks for the great videos, just starting the head down work with my new Peruvian horse. He’s quite a nervous horse so I’m looking forward to being able to help him have relaxation under saddle. That’s my main goal. Thanks again from Sarah in New Zealand
Love when you slow down so I can see, but can you consider moving the graphic to the top of the screen so it's not in the way of us watching the hooves, please? Thank you :)
You would train softness, but you l realize that head down doesn't help with gait. Once the horse is soft and relaxed, do this: ua-cam.com/video/IFGp07Mda14/v-deo.html
I thought that TWH bobbed their heads if they are gaiting. I have a pacey walker and when he gaits he bobs his head. Maybe that’s not the case for all of them?

Excellent teaching and describing the head and neck position! Thanks!

Really looking forward to General finally getting there...
I have a 4 year old Shackleford horse from the outer banks. He is green broke. He gaits in the field, how. Do I teach him to gait under saddle.
If you want a gaited horse, go for it!
Love your videos! It looks like he is having issues with the bit? Once you give him more rein he settles down.
Do you ever plan on doing a clinic in Montana?
Possibly this year. Still working on dates.
What about for a trotter , got one that needs her head down

How do you feel the difference in the saddle between pace and trot?
Best way is to video just to see what your horse is doing. ua-cam.com/video/2UP6nHTrdfg/v-deo.html
