You spoke little, did not interrupt in an annoying, mood-deadening way, and you let your face do all the talking for you whichtold us much more than a thousand words. Perfect, very enjoyable, thanks.
This song touches me even more than it did in 1965. It reminds me of when 50 years ago my husband was stationed overseas. I missed him so much, and he missed me. Now I'm missing him again because he passed away two and a half years ago.
Stella, my husband (and I) were in the military and he got an assignment overseas where I could not go. This song always makes me remember those days and my longing to see him again. He passed away last October, after 42 blessed years of marriage. This was our song.
I can see his MOM sitting in the audience smiling- slapping eveyrbody on the back saying' THAT MY BOY!!! : (she WAS in the audience and that was HER first time to hear him sing professionally!!! He's in heaven now teaching the NEW angels HOW TO SING... :)
Some music is timeless. This is one such song. Bobby Hatfield was a rare talent, and remember that this was live, with no technology, autotuning, backup singing, etc. Just him on stage owning every single syllable with absolute control and pitch, and deep emotion behind it all. Stunning. There's a reason women have been having your reaction for 50 years!
You have the same reaction everyone has to this performance: SPEECHLESS! That's because this is the most perfect performance ever. It really is! In all aspects. It is simply beautiful.
I'm ao lucky I grew up in the 60's listening to this beautiful music. Baby boomer music!!! Love this man! This is his song!!! RIP Bobby! Love, Love, Love..............I'm 72 yrs old and I never tire listening to him sing, Beautfiul voice!!!
Never has an orchestra and a singer were so insinck, then when Bobby Hatfield and the "Andy Williams Orchestra performed "Alex North's Unchained Melody live 55 years ago in 1965. This is one of televisions greatest live performances ever by a singer and an orchestra. The violins are to die for... This performance alone has solidified Bobby Hatfield as one of music's greatest "Tenors." And he has left behind a great legacy as one of the most famous duos of all times "The Righteous Brothers." Rest in peace Bobby Hatfield for you will be remembered always...
@@dougjohnson9948 I would like to find that out too...This arrangement was to die for. The string section along with the horns and snare drum help elevate this performance as the greatest in the history of Alex North's "Unchained Melody (55)." Thank you for your kind comment.
@@dougjohnson9948 - Bobby and Bill actually did the arrangement...and the song changes from the original were Bobby. The original '55 song itself was popular and successful...but Bobby made some changes and it is not only better...but this performance itself is vastly superior to even their record/studio version!
I love watching women react to this. Especially young women who haven’t been exposed to this generation of music. If today’s young men want a clue what melts a girl’s heart they should watch these reactions. 🥰
Absolutely superb reaction to one of the most romantic songs EVER! Now listen to the Righteous Brothers (both of them, this time) sing "You've Lost That Loving feeling"
Totally leaves you speechless, what is there to say but beautiful. At 72 that is how I feel when I listen to this song, after all these years. Great reaction!
That was Bobby Hatfield. There were 2 men in the Righteous Brothers. They would sing solos this was his. You have given the best reaction to this song I have seen. You didn’t stop the song, you waited till the end to give your commentary. Thank you. You have a very beautiful smile that lights up your face.
You are beautiful, honest and adorable. This song/performance has brought out the best in a lot of people for more than 50 years. Glad you liked it. :-)
Got to say, I feel overwhelmed by cuteness. You were swooned. The other member was there just not in this number. Also his Mother & Father was in the audience.
@RogerM9: You got that right, sir. This performance was responsible for many children being conceived and birthed. I was 18 years old at the time! 😁👍👏❤️🍼
Little girl, I thought you were gonna cry....I's so great to see the youth of today appreciate some of the great classic's.. This song still makes me tear up and gives me goosebumps!
Again, someone that has found that elusive song, sung perfectly, with a perfect accompaniment,a perfect audience and wonderful production values although the Andy Williams Show, what else would you expect! What was also perfect and this is telling, was your sincere reaction, conduct throughout the song, and good grace in your comments. You appear to have the same good heart as your expressive face,so yet again.........just perfect.
There is no one like Bobby of the Righteous Brothers. Perfection. Gift from God. I can't wait to see your reaction to more of the Righteous Brothers. Share You've lost that loving Feeling next.
This was before Electronics could adjust your voice to sound how they need you to. This was REAL RAW Talent, I remember when this version came out my sisters would just keep repeat playing it for hours. Back when men would sing to women not speak a phrase at them. But it never gets old, Thanks for the memory's.
Another victim by Bobby Hatfield!! Lol JK young lady! I love watching y'alls reaction to him sing this song! I'm 62 and we truly did have all the real talent back then and am truly grateful for be blessed to have been able to grow up with these great groups live!! What a voice he had!! REAL TALENT!! RIP Bobby! You made your parents proud especially that particular night!!
It is nice to see a new generation learning to appreciate the quality of the singers from my generation. Bobby had an equally talented partner in Bill Medley. Back when singers could really sing.
This was very popular, on am radio, when I was a kid. My parents had this album and it is still part of my album collection. It along with other 78’s rarely ever get played due to age. This is the end of the BigBand era. This was also a time when music was really music by talented singers. My grandmother introduced me to rock n’ roll in 1968. First albums were CCR and Pink Floyd. The next year was Jimi Hendrix. She was the coolest grandma ever. I miss her and my parents so much. Soon I will see them all again.😇
His beautiful sound was known in the 60's as "blue-eyed soul". His voice draws out emotions now, almost 60 years later, as much as it did then. Your reaction is priceless!!!
It's amazing to see how many people are left speechless and dazed, unable do express their emotions after listening to this performance for the first time.
Thank you for no interruptions and for not showing it in a small square. Appreciated the split screen. You were left speechless! Me too, and I’ve been listening to Bobby singing this masterpiece since it first came out when I was a kid! 💖
There are 2 .Bobby Hatfield and Bill Melody. But there were times they sang solo and Unchained Melody is one such song.NO ONE WILL EVER DO THIS SONG LIKE HE DID PLUS IT WAS LIVE (no retakes) That's why it's so wonderful. He had it all Great voice and handsome as could be.
Great reaction, you are absolutely gorgeous. By the way, look at the 1965 version of You lost that loving feeling and also you are my soul and inspiration.
Love, Love love it !! Loved watching your reaction !! Your eyes told the story and when you glanced at the camera, it let us into just what you were feeling. Thanks you, and keep it up !! You are a beautiful young lady.
I really loved watching your pure, genuine, unpaused reaction to this beautiful rendition! It’s nice to watch women of the latest generation encounter true romance! Thanks for the great reaction! 👍
Live band and performance. He and Bill Medley (not real brothers) both wanted to record the single, so they tossed a coin and Bobby Hatfield won. It was meant to be because no one could match this perfection.
What a great reaction--one can't help being drawn in so completely by this great performance !! Yes, there are two to this duo, the other Bill Medley (not really brothers). They have many great songs together, but both of these men did solos. Bobby Hatfield has many more that I believe you would enjoy hearing--all on You Tube. Would love to see more reactions to this great talent--many sides to his exquisite style--love songs, inspirational, doo-wop and great rock songs. Cathy
At the end I wanted to reach out and pat you on the cheek a little. Did that for my great-grand daughter sitting here next to me. Fourteen and she loves that man!
Hi Peyemi you happen to make a great selection of songs to react to, but watching, and listening to your reactions make these songs much more heartfelt. I would very much like to see you react to a song by Styx "Paradise". I hope it reaches you in good spirits, and I know this song fits your discription...

Thanks
I hate it when some of the reactors keep stopping, they spoil the moment, this one was terrific thanks
Young lady .. that is the reaction young ladies and older have had to this performance for over 50 years
Exactly what I was thinking when she had nothing to say at the end. Just a big smile and a loving heart.
So true! I'm 73 and still find it a spiritual experience to hear this!!
The most beautiful song ever written.will never be topped!!! Rip Bobby😢
Now after about 14 months with Brandon do you still hate President Trump?
The very best!!!¡!!
I LOOOVED that HUGE SMILE baby had on her face!! She's REALLY CUTE!!! 😁😁😁
That's more than a song. That is a Gift from God!
I just love the way those who never heard Bobby Hatfield react. I love soul music and it overwhelms me to see others enjoy this like I do.
I agree! I grew up listening to their music. 1965 ....I was a senior in high school.
Very true.
This song touches me even more than it did in 1965. It reminds me of when 50 years ago my husband was stationed overseas. I missed him so much, and he missed me. Now I'm missing him again because he passed away two and a half years ago.
🥺🥺 I’m so sorry for your lose.. May his soul Rest In Peace, God bless you .
Thanks for your and your husband’s service. I’m sorry for your loss. I too was overseas in the Vietnam era. It was a hardship
So sorry for your loss. May he rip.
This song and your story bring tears to my eyes - your husband is singing this to you from above.

The best voice I've ever heard!
A voice of an angel.
With the face of an Angel… lol
And he sang it all with his own voice and without filters. They were the best.
💯🤍
Your reaction is what it should be. To a man with an exceptional voice. RIP Bobby Hatfield.
I was ten and was watching the Andy Williams Show with mother when he did. I'm still in love with him! Bless you for reviewing this.
no auto tune or any other tricks just pure talent

You got serenaded. He touched your heart and soul and you fell

Sweet young lady appreciates 1960's soul music. It's lovely to see. x
It's SO sweet how she became tongue-tied after the song, unable to express her feelings at Bobby's beautiful and soulful rendition.
Absolutely superb reaction to one of the most romantic songs EVER! Now listen to the Righteous Brothers (both of them, this time) sing "You've Lost That Loving feeling"
It’s such a beautiful song
The most beautiful love song ever written. This was 1965 and Bobby Hatfield was 25yrs old at the time.
