Love those cars of yesterday. My uncle had a red convertible with a white top
This engine was a beast
I remember seeing a few of these on the road when I was a kid. This is nothing short of a rolling work of mid-century modern art...one of Virgil Exner's masterpieces of design. The iconic grille, the flaring fins and tail lights, the amazing interior...topped off with the 413 with dual quads on a cross ram intake manifold. This car must have been a shot of pure adrenaline to drive on the open road. I'm drooling...one of my favorite cars for sure.
A manly car, designed with your mind in mind.
One of the best designs ever to come from Chrysler. The dashboard alone has never been equaled before or since.
Classic. And to have Bob himself guide the tour? Well, icing on the engineering cake! " ... a feeling of oneness with their machine; a feeling of oneness with the road ... " AWESOME!! Thanks for posting!!
The 1960 Chrysler Corporation vehicles, including the Chrysler 300F, continued the "Forward Look" design penned by Virgil Exner.
He's right. I really have to drive one. I want one
If there's anyone lucky enough out there to own one of these Chrysler vehicles with the 'Elecro-Luminescent' dash panel,
I would LOVE to see what that looks like !!
These 'gum-ball'/juke-box style dashes look fantastic enough in the day time, but I have never seen what it looks like when illuminated at night.. . . . . . . .
JOHNNIE: LORD OF THE MungoidHen PEOPLE You can google 1960 chrysler dashboard. Look at the images.
My first car was a 1962 Chrysler Newport Town & Country station wagon, which had the 120-mph version of this speedometer. The rest of the dash was much the same. And it was something to see at night!
pretty car
I think there were only 6 or 7 400 horsepower 4 speeds built.
Some say as many as eighteen. But whatever the number, they are quite rare today.
I would proudly own AND drive either one of these cars over ANY Cars built today!💕
