I was a 1960's kid and these guys were already in the 20's, it's insane to think their still playing, it's impressive, but it was an era, rebellious rock and roll, great grandfather's rebelling.
I was at this show... I was living in maui, hawaii when a chinese friend of mine said the word on the street in shanghai was a band called The Rolling Stones would possibly be playing in 2 weeks time. It was only two weeks before the actual show was it announced. I believe the Shanghai Grand Theater only seats like 3,200. The story short I sent my friend 400 us dollars and that if the show was to be announced that he would have the money to buy two tickets... and sure enough the show was anounced and my chinese friend bought tow tickets. I made my flight reservations and off to Shanghai, China. What i am surprised nobody is reporting that a Sandbag up in the Lighting console Fell only 2 feet from hitting Keith Richards in the head. No Shit... Anyway, it was an amazing show. I personally have flown all over the world and have seen dozens of Rolling Stones Live since 1972. The China concert was The Cherry On Top! Here is another fun fact... I was upstairs on the balcony railing and after the show I bought two tee shirts only to find out that there were no shirts or hats for sale on the first floor only on the second floor... so my two tees are all that more special... hahahahaa

Wild story but had your Chinese friend never heard of The Stones before? And if it's not too personal could you tell me old you are. I'm always curious about other Stones fans
b/c it intrigues me when younger fans get into the Stones. I like to gently nudge them into trying The Stones live in the late '60s + '70s so they can experience the young + vital Rolling Stones. I tell them to go watch the boys do 'Midnight Rambler from '69 - '73 and you get to see Prime Stones.
I wish that happened to me!! That sandbag falling that far could have killed Keith!! Thank God he had a guardian angel looking out for him!😮I'm 63 & the Stones have been my favorite band since I was 12!! THE ONE AND ONLY ROLLING STONES - THE BEST ROCK BAND IN THE WORLD! 👍 They’re still great and as strong as ever imo! 😩 I can’t believe I missed this concert! I’m 70ish and, like most ‘Baby Boomers’, grew up listening to the Stones and still do. I live in the US 🇺🇸 but was in Shanghai on vacation about a month before this took place! Now I’m going to check the venues near me - hopefully ☝️ they will have one, and that I haven’t already missed!
