Congrats on getting one. Got my heart set on getting one for Christmas but, in a way it’s wishful thinking, sorta. I do have a generous family to hook me up with cool things for Christmas, but I’m betting for me it won’t be until next Christmas for me to get the 5. Have a great time, man. Update from my previous message a couple of weeks ago - didn’t get a PS5 (not even digital one), but maybe this year sometime or if prices decide to go down at all then maybe at that time. 🤷♂️ I did however get a cool game for PS4 even though I may have to start over again for the third time - the game Nioh. I think I’m playing it wrong somehow.

When you are inside the main room of Astro’s Playroom, you are actually inside the PS5, by looking up you can see the vents from both sides of the console.

This video brings back memories when I unboxed my ps5, I am a digital edition ps5 owner and for anyone who wants to get the digital edition you will definitely not regret it.
Do you not feel restricted to only digital games though? I considered it but ended up going with the standard console in case I want to get disc games too

I like watching this video to get a small fraction of the enjoyment I would get from unboxing the actual console.
This is still the closest 99% of Sony's audience has got to a PS5.

"You don't even need to use the stand if you don't want." You're actually supposed to. Yeah, it's flat on the bottom so it'll stay up without it, but you're supposed to use the stand. I wouldn't recommend not using it.

There are a couple small vents on the bottom too, so it's a good idea to use the stand for proper ventilation

@@stxreight I’m pretty sure you can buy cheap ones online. My real question is, how did you break it? If you broke the the holders connected to the side, you will still be able to stand it upright.
Sony didn’t package those stands in every box for you to not use it. It’s there for a reason you are blocking vents standing it up like that

I was one of the first people in the world to get the PS5 and I must say when you turn it on it feels like your in another generation! In my opinion i think it is better than the new Xbox.
My best friend has the new Xbox n I really wasn't that impressed with it that much Playstation puts Microsoft to shame imo ive always been a ps fan since the first one game out

Finally got one and it is amazing
The disc version and digital one both use the same amount of storage for games, the disc is just required to be inserted because it contains a key that is needed to verify and run the game on your system. Its a way to prevent people from buying one game and simultaneously playing it across different systems
