GoodBadFlicks oh, please do an Aussie movie called *Black Sheep* It’s a pretty good zombie sheep movie, with a ton of good practical effects, and good acting.
Honestly when you consider that fact that it was as good as it was I would have thought it have a second movie to at least fill in the minor plot holes and emphasis on minor like honestly idk why people thought it sucked if you just ignore the plot holes and enjoy the movie you can understand why everything happened the way it did
If you like alternative lore angel and demon films like this, there's a 2007 low-budget Australian film called Gabriel in which Angels and Demons fight over control of Purgatory, visualised as a Blade Runner-esque city of shadows. It's not horror at all, just straight action, but it's a really nice watch.
DarkdustDragon Thanks for some reason I kept confusing Gabriel with legion and I was wracking my brain for the name of the other film. An interesting movie that's gained a minor cult following mostly in the goth and alternative scene but it kind of felt like it went no where and could have used more time to work on the script and direction at times, still worth a look though.
That sounds like a movie that could use a mid-budget *Blumhouse* remake. It would likely be closer to half-horror, but it sounds like it would fit the premise.
When I first started watching your videos, I would blaze up and proceed to laugh my ass off. Now, I haven't smoked in over six months and your videos still make me laugh. Your videos have great replay value.
@@mattmarzula definitely not going to argue against that, but Doug Jones has a particular magic. I think it's almost criminal that he hasn't become a star, but at the same time, it's probably been for the best that he didn't experience the worst part of that.
My thought throughout this movie was "Where is Lucifer? " If angels are on earth creating all this chaos and Michael and Gabriel were battling, wouldn't you think Lucifer would want to be there giving his 2 cents?
If the director is Jewish, there wouldn't be a devil or Lucifer, since he and hell are never mentioned in the old testament (it's more a new testament thing)
To any Legion fans There is a partial explanation for why you'd find guns in the back of the toy factory as you'll notice the guard is an Asian American man, meaning he is possibly a member of the Eastern Triad or some other criminal organization. Toy and textile business were often used as fronts for criminal activities, such as stashing drugs, cash or weapons. Because Michael is the patron saint of soldiers, he has knowledge of how humanity fights and kills each other so that may be how he came to know the location. Just a theory of mine. JT
Also the angel disguising themselves is explained in the show. Higher ranked angels actually don't possess humans, like Michael and Gabriel they have their own bodies. But lower ranked angels have to possess people and so the eyes and teeth become more visible.
Gabriel isn't a bad angel, he is just following God's order and doesn't want to listen to Michael and even tries to explain to him that since the beginning God has told them to love them and that the people are just lost and need guidance, and Michael is being defiant because he knows God has lost his faith in humanity so he is out to try to restore God's faith in humanity...
This movie has one of the greatest moments of all time. After the couple leaves the building with the baby, and I guess are able to escape, they approach a car to drive off. However, standing right next to the car is a small possessed angel child. It has a 2x4 in its hand, and it is just smacking the car. Not like it is trying to do damage, just kinda standing there bopping away. No reason for it, no clue as to why the kid was even doing it, no explanation whatsoever. Made the entire movie worth it.
0:37 - Maximum Overdrive was a childhood favorite of mine when I was a little kid... I still remember my little kid name for it as "Trucks with Nobody in 'em!" as I could pronounce Maximum at the time... I was like 2-4...

The kid cut off his thumbs because he was holding the knife in a double overhand grip with the blade toward his thumbs. As his stab attack connected his hands slid down the knife over the blade. The sliding action and tight grip cut off the thumbs. It is fairly common. usually a drunk guy playing with a knife and is stabbing something and goes ham and misses or something and slips.
What kills me is how much depth they put into the world of Priest and how much they set it up for future sequels and people just flat out trash the film like it is a Uwe Boll production.
Legion reminds me of movies I rented from the video store in the 80s. Good schlock quickly thrown together to take your mind off of things. Loved this flic.
you know, there's something I wonder. gabriel wields that mace you mentioned, which in that style is also known as a morningstar. "the morning star" also happens to be one of the names lucifer is also known by. think there was some sort of point there that got drowned out by the gunfights and action? like they were trying to say there isn't really a devil out to get us, its all being done on the orders of god?
I the Lord make all things possible. I create the good and evil. Even the devils have a god they pray and worship. You think God didnt create those that worship the satan. God put it in thier hearts to perform his will as written in revaltions. The world is acting out a story you yet to understand.
God allows the devil to do that which we bring on ourselves for either punishment and/or to bring us closer to God. Remember that God allowed the devil to instigate and carry out His son's murder for our good in Him.
I thought the same thing I loved the movie but it did need more explanation into the reasons why. I also loved the score for the movie it sounded right for the film. It gave u that apocalyptical feeling of dread that came after I loved that about the movie. Great vid as always!! 😎

I drove over a hill one day, and there was the set for this movie. A truck stop diner in the middle of nowhere, where nothing had been before. I had no idea what the name of the movie would eventually be, or when it was going to come out. from my first watch of this movie i loved it lol. me and my brother watch it together from time to time simply because the unique (to us) spin on an apocalyptic world driven by angles and not, like you mentioned, zombies or demons
Totally with you on this one. I saw this movie on a plane and it was perfect for that kinda "I'm stuck here and need something to entertain me" circumstance. I'd definitely watch it again.
What I don't quite understand is why do these possessed humans behave as if they had been possessed by demons? You know how it usually is: a character gets possessed by a demon and everything goes nuts. Heads and limbs turn like they're not supposed to, blood everywhere etc. But people in this movie are supposed to be possessed by angels? Unless they suddenly decided. "I know what works well!" said God. "Fear. Let's scare the shit out of them by pretending to be demons." I must say: the movie would have probably been better, if these angels had just come there to deliver cold righteousness, instead of giving us this. Or better yet: demons wish for their destruction, but Angels come and interfere.
Lord Cosmos that would be in a universe where what Christians believe is completley true who says possession regardless of by whom doesn't cause the same effects
I think an interesting alternative could have been Lucifer and a bunch of Fallen Angels coming to Earth and helping Michael in his fight against Gabriel and the Angels.
well you know hollywood they would find a way to cheapen that by having lucifer only help to get rid of the angels then betray them in the end and start his own hell overtaking with no more angels to stand in his way
sure, i think it's worth a watch, but as with all these movies with angels/demons/old testament overtones i feel that it just doesn't deliver the goods in the end. they always lack scope that they're unwilling to put on screen (with few exceptions). i mean, if you're telling me there's a war in heaven, show that, eh? i get that budgetary restraints relegates these flicks to having the 'war' be depicted in a microcosm, but, jeez, it'd be nice to see the epic grandeur for once. still, it's worth a watch once....
GameTuber Aye, Really need to watch that myself since i enjoyed the film. Also Liked the Other one with Similar Themes and Christopher Walken.... The Prophecy.
Gotta explain this one. The kids thumbs get cut off because his hand slips down the blade. If you stab something hard, metal in this case, and the blade doesn’t have a choil or guard, your hands will slide right down the blade! Usually it cuts the tendons in your palms but he loses his thumbs because of the way he is holding the knife.
Sorry to be "that guy" But basically thats every superhero movie for the last 20 years. Man of Steel, Dark Knight, Avengers just to name some recent ones. I study Ancient History and Religion, and Hollywood's habit today of utilizing Gnostic reversal themes, essentially show the Devil (as portrayed through superheros) as defeating God (as portrayed through villians) time and time again. You're welcome :)
One of my favorite movies, I love stories with angels, apocalypse, divinity themes, like this and Constantine, I wish there were more.. I always laugh in the beginning at the reaction of the cop Michael is holding to the other cop getting possessed, it’s hysterical. I totally agree with your points, I also never understood why the apocalypse didn’t end as it was a test for the angels, I believe they did a TV show called Dominion as a follow up that wasn’t very good.
"So Kyle puts his scarf on the wound that magically turns into a napkin." hahahaha
Well... it DID!:)
this, this is exactly what caught my attention. HOLY SHIT. never knew that one. Yikes!
It's a miracle.

Sean Dewell higher ranking angles, not like Gabriel but a few ranks below him
Gabriel is an archangel. There are in total 9 choruses (ranks or levels) of angels and archangels are second to lowest. So...

I loved this movie, great affects, good dialect, good plot.
I think an interesting alternative could have been Lucifer and a bunch of Fallen Angels coming to Earth and helping Michael in his fight against Gabriel and the Angels.
WhiskeyBrewer aka The Prophecy. ( not really, but. Viggo Mortensen is my favorite movie devil ever.)
Starr Clarke He was awesome in that.
But it would be interesting to have a film with Lucifer siding with humanity in a war against Heaven
That's cliche I lindo of like this tho...it shows that God cannot be all that good and the devil was probably like damn
Like in John Constantine?
well you know hollywood they would find a way to cheapen that by having lucifer only help to get rid of the angels then betray them in the end and start his own hell overtaking with no more angels to stand in his way
Thank you!
sure, i think it's worth a watch, but as with all these movies with angels/demons/old testament overtones i feel that it just doesn't deliver the goods in the end. they always lack scope that they're unwilling to put on screen (with few exceptions). i mean, if you're telling me there's a war in heaven, show that, eh? i get that budgetary restraints relegates these flicks to having the 'war' be depicted in a microcosm, but, jeez, it'd be nice to see the epic grandeur for once.
still, it's worth a watch once....
"Kyle pus his scarf on the wound which magically turns into a napkin ." Hahaha! So good, great catch.
They made a TV series based on this movie.
studinthemaking which I actually enjoyed more than the movie. They had more time to develop the themes introduced here
"Dominion", right?
GameTuber Aye, Really need to watch that myself since i enjoyed the film. Also Liked the Other one with Similar Themes and Christopher Walken.... The Prophecy.
+studinthemaking thats really sick and awesome , would love to check that out ;) thanks for telling though , did not know that.
Actually I prefer the movie than the TV series.
This and Priest feel like films the studio hope will get enough attention to warrant a sequel. Cool movies.
I love your reviews and your hate for justin beiber.
Rafael Trivino lol thanks! Gotta throw in some digs at him where I can
Gotta explain this one.
They should make a movie were the devil saves humanity
they make it, and its hellboy
Wasn't that South Park: Bigger Longer Uncut
Sorry to be "that guy"
But basically thats every superhero movie for the last 20 years.
You're welcome :)
nathan robson NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAARD!
lordofdarkdudes
"Hey buddy, did you get a load of the nerd!?"
*pardon me?*
I liked the first half of this, but the end fell apart for me.
I freaking love Legion and Priest both direct by the same guy.
If jeep is the savior of man kind, WE ARE FUCKED!!!
alexleinbach he's much better in the tv series
Oh shit, there is a TV show? I know what i'm binge watching next!
The part where the kid cuts his thumbs off always gets me
